Okay I think a lot of deltarune fans skew younger, so I'm gonna lay out some helpful etiquette to help you through these turbulent ship waters

"Canon" does not matter. Nine times out of ten your ship will not become canon (which is frankly way better than the previous odds from fandoms of old, more like only one in a thousand). Your ship becoming canon would not make it better, nor should you place stock or worth in it becoming canon.

You can like multiple ships. Yes in a poly way, but you can also just like them both separately. That's allowed, I promise. You can tell a story two ways, I swear.

Yes, characters are allowed to just be friends. Yes, you're allowed to only see them as friends. You don't have to ship it. No one is making you ship it. But going into the tag or on someone's shippy post like "Cute but I only see them as friends ❤️ Best bros ❤️ platonic forever" know that you are sucking all the fun out of the room. If you don't ship it you don't have to be here. Let's be real, if I went and started going "What good friends! Besties! Roommates!" on Suselle posts, I'd be rightfully eaten alive.

On that note, ship names are for the ship. Not for the friendship.

Also misgendering Kris as a girl so you feel better about shipping them is just as fucked as misgendering them as a guy fyi

My opinion of Susie shipping-wise is that she should have a harem that she's completely oblivious to. Chilling in the Dark World, sitting on a couch with Noelle and Kris in each arm and Ralsei hugging her around the neck and thinking "Haha, having friends is awesome!"

ok so lets say we take the chapter 4 prophecy at face value. susie is the girl from the prophecy and something truly terrible is going to happen to her - be it betrayal, injury or god forbid death

can you IMAGINE being ralsei in this situation? you are a being cursed with knowledge of the future. before this girl even steps into the darkworld you KNOW that she is destined to suffer. you watch as this deeply troubled girl grows and learns kindness. you watch as she becomes one of the kindest and bravest people you know. she cares for you, and you care for her. she becomes one of your best friends. she looks after you in her own special way and changes the world around her. and this whole time you know she is destined to suffer greatly. you laugh together, you smile together, and in the end she is going to suffer.

you thought that maybe if you dont say anything you can stay friends until the end, maybe if you dont say anything the prophecy will change, maybe if you dont say anything it will hurt less.

but it doesnt.

and now she knows. she knows. and she should hate you. hate the world. and instead she laughs. she laughs and comforts YOU instead. walks away with hope still crossed on her heart. and she is still doomed and there is nothing you can do because the prophecy remains unchanged. there is no answer, there is no solution. how do you carry this guilt? how do you live, knowing won't be able to? how do you look her in the eyes again and smile knowing that she is your friend and she will suffer for it. what can you do other than smile and try to believe the words she says? that is your only escape. that is the only thing you have left.
