“I heard that there’s a muggle custom of seeing the bride in her dress before the wedding, so it’s probably best if you didn’t open the door. Wouldn’t want to jinx our marriage.” Draco said, just as her hand grasped the door handle.

“Oh.” Some of the tension in her shoulders seemed to disappear. “Draco?”

“Is there another wizard you’re getting married to in the near future?” He asked through the door and despite her nerves, Hermione laughed. It was slightly breathless and a little high-pitched, but sincere.

“Not at the moment, no.” She replied softly. “If you don’t intend to doom our marriage, why are you here? Are you worried I’m getting cold feet and will leave you standing at the altar?”

“Are you?” His voice was calm and Hermione faltered.

“No. No, I’m not.” Biting her lip, she struggled to decide whether or not to tell him. “It’s just not what I would want for a wedding. It’s beautiful and all, but it’s not me.”

“It’s not really me either. I don’t know a third of the guests, another third despises me and the rest prefers my parents over me. I can count the people who are genuinely happy to see me marry someone on one hand.” Draco paused for a moment. “We could just run away.”

A Little Liquid Luck

Hermione Dagworth-Granger had a bright future ahead of her as she stepped off the Hogwarts Express at Hogsmeade station on the first of September 1996, her uniform pleated, her curls tamed, her shoes shining and the prefect badge once again gleaming where it was pinned to her cloak.

She breathed the damp night air filled with steam, chatter and laughter. The train was hissing like a great beast, making first-years jump and giggle nervously as they huddled closely together and stared up at the groundskeeper with wide eyes.

There was a slight Scottish bite to the gentle breeze that ruffled her hair, carrying a whisper of autumn and winter, although they would still have weeks to linger outside and let the last rays of summer sun kiss their skin.

In the distance, Hermione thought she heard the swooshing of wings, perhaps hippogriffs or thestrals and owls called from the old beams of Hogsmeade station, their attentive eyes trained on the new arrivals with curiosity and understanding that went beyond what owls outside the magical world were capable of.

She allowed herself to linger for a moment as she relished what would be her second last return to Hogwarts and wallowed in the bittersweet ache as she once again realised that the school filled with wonder and wisdom would only be her home for two more years.

A small sigh escaped her, puffing white in the air and she-

Yelped in surprise when someone put their hand between her shoulder blades and pushed her off the train and onto the platform.

Hi, thank you for your inquiry! I'm happy to hear that you liked my fic.

To answer your question: I think podfics are great! Especially for a visually impaired audience and I admire those who take the time and effort to turn a fic into an audio format. Generally, I give permission for my works to be turned into podfics, I only request that there's a link to my original ao3 fic or something else that indicates the source/what the podfic is based on.

I hope that answers your question. I should probably put out a blanket statement on my ao3 profile or on here!
