It’s sunday… your mother woke you up with a bit of aggression, it’s annoying, but that’s the only way to wake the six of you up. You quickly got up trying to get ahead of everyone. You eat breakfast with your parents and your siblings-sometimes the reason for being late to church because all of you got a little too carried away from the conversation. When everyone’s done, you all piled up in your grey mini van that you all love so dearly, you gave it a name.

After church, you go home and everyone has to have one chore before resting, and everyone should be of help in preparing lunch, but you were all lazy, so you have to fight first who has to do this and that, obviously the younger siblings ends up doing all of it.

After lunch, you get the rest you have all been wanting to have. You also fight who gets to take hold of the tv remote control, usually ends up in your younger brother’s hand, but you don’t mind, because you like the same cartoon shows…

Life was easy. And I missed it so much.

Whilst you nourish your body with exercise, slow yoga, nighttime body milk, adorn it with jewellery and sultry perfume, carefully drape it with clothes that fit… don’t forget to nourish your mind. Classical music, podcasts, brain games like crosswords, sudoku, mental math, art even if you’re terrible at it, gardening even if your plants never seem to grow, cooking even if you might burn the house down - embrace learning, embrace curiosity, and enjoy your own company. Be the best wife you could be to your own self first. Care for yourself, defend yourself, grow, teach, constructively criticise yourself; be the best parent you could be to yourself.
