Some days are HARD as a mother. We have to wake up before the sun does, feed a small human before the coffee hardly touches our lips, drop them off at daycare/school/sitters, work HARD, and come home and try to make time to cook, clean, be a good wife(SO), and spend time with our children. It’s exhausting! But women, we’re something special. We are SUPER HEREOS and somehow get through all of this every single day. Even when you feel like you did an awful job, I guarantee you did great. Going on three months now of breastfeeding.. it’s truly one of the most exhausting parts of motherhood, and in the beginning, there were days where I wanted to say SCREW IT and throw in the towel. It hurt, it was mentally and physically draining, and I felt like I was a slave to my baby as well as the pump, but I am so happy that I stuck through it and kept going! I love being able to do this for my baby and give him such a wonderful and beautiful start. It’s still exhausting, and I take breaks between work, or even just driving in the car to pump, but all of this is worth it for my sweet little man. Keep going, milky mama’s! Being a mother is a constant struggle, more so than any of us want to admit. There are days where you feel like you have this whole motherhood thing down, and then the following day can make you feel like you’re drowning with no way back up. It’s a learning process, day by day, but it’s OK to admit that we aren’t perfect. It’s OK to admit that this is hard. It’s OK to admit that we are struggling, mama’s. We did something amazing, we made a human life. So regardless of how you feel you did today, I’m here to tell you that you did awesome.
