Harry Potter Next Gen Headcanons #2
Molly Weasley II:
Gryffindor. Had a teensy, little crush on Teddy Lupin before she went to Hogwarts. Discovered that she preferred Quidditch over any boy (Teddy laughed at her when she tried out as a beater). Became one of Hogwarts’ most feared beaters. Had a good head for Arithmancy, Ancient Runes, and Herbology. Barely scraped by for her other subjects, which frustrated her father Percy because Arithmancy and Ancient Runes were supposed to be hard, so why couldn’t she do well for the easier subjects? Was scouted and offered training contracts from multiple top tier Quidditch teams. She turned them all down and signed on with the Chudley Cannons. Gained the moniker “Chudley’s Cannon”. Found cooking effortless and comforting, much to her grandmother’s delight.
Lucy Weasley:
Slytherin. First Weasley to be sorted into Slytherin in generations. Shocked everyone, because she was always so quiet, shy and well-mannered. Endured bullying from her own housemates in her first few months at Hogwarts, until she learnt to impress upon her tormentors just how much money, influence, and power her family collectively had by loudly reading out her letters to her aunts and uncles as she wrote them in the common room. Her best subjects were Charms, Potions, and DADA. Her favourite subject was Transfiguration, however, and it grieved her that her love for it resulted in little but straight As, or Es if the test/assignment was purely theory based. Received enough Os from her N.E.W.Ts to work for the Department of International Magical Cooperation, much to her father’s delight. Stopped after a few years to open a shop specialising in magical stuffed animals, much to his despair.
Roxanne Weasley:
Gryffindor. Started her time at Hogwarts aghast by the discovery that not every student came from a family as financially secure as hers. Became involved in multiple social justice causes and student committees. Visited her Head of House and, eventually, Headmistress McGonagall so often to discuss “critical issues pertinent to the well-being of the student body” that both of them couldn’t help but groan a little every time they saw dark red, curly hair. Is an above average student across all subjects. Loves Care for Magical Creatures, History of Magic and Muggle Studies. Would later join the Goblin Liaison Office after graduation, where she stayed for quite some time.

Harry Potter Next Gen Headcanons #1
Teddy Lupin:
Hufflepuff. Discovers early on that no one can find him in a crowd if he turns his hair brown, which led to him to an early identity crisis. He is more than just blue hair and bunny ears, thank you very much! Very good with incantations and wandwork, meaning classes like Transfiguration, Charms, and the spellcasting portions of DADA come easily to him. Finds hands-on subjects like Potions, Care for Magical Creatures and Herbology much more challenging. Loves flying but is infamously oblivious about how terrible he is at Quidditch. Once called Harry “Dad” by accident. Cue emotional turmoil. Made a prefect. Turned down the position of Head Boy when offered because he thought the professors making the decision had a soft spot for him, somehow managing to both insult and impress Headmistress McGonagall in the process. Was accepted as a junior curse breaker by Gringotts after graduation, where Bill Weasley, who he both loves and fears, grudgingly and gruffly took him under his wing.
Victoire Weasley:
Ravenclaw. Effectively bilingual in French and English, with enough conversational German and Gobbledegook to get by because it’s really not that hard once you get it. Is a voracious reader and spends plenty of time in the Hogwarts library; her straight Os firmly puts to rest any rumours of her being all blonde and no brains. She secretly struggles with Transfiguration and Astronomy, though is it really a struggle if the worst grade she had ever gotten for either subject was an E? Not allowed to take Care for Magical Creatures because some creatures react violently to her Veela blood. Loves flying and watching Quidditch but never plays outside of family matches. Writes beautifully. Experimented with poetry before deciding to stick to prose. After graduation, she spent two years with her Uncle Harry as a junior Auror before leaving to become an investigative reporter for Witch Weekly, where she also helps to edit a Creative writing section.
Dominique Weasley:
Decided to choose Beauxbatons over Hogwarts, to her mother’s everlasting joy. She initially wanted to escape the attention she thought the Weasley name would attract at Hogwarts, only to find that Fleur Weasley nee Delacour and her ruggedly handsome husband are bona fide celebrities at the French school. She becomes close to the extended Delacour family, much more so than Victoire and Louis. She does relatively well across all her subjects, with no gaping weaknesses, and her all rounded skill set helps to establish her as a ferocious duelist, eventually representing her school in competitions and exhibitions. After graduation, she became a pro-duelist, a favourite among the European dueling circuit. Because she spends so much time outside Britain, she’s less known and recognised at home, unless you’re a dueling enthusiast. That later changed when she was asked to represent England for the World Dueling Championships. There were also rumours that she was a regular training partner to Harry Potter himself, which is only partly true (pro-dueling and actual dueling are rather different after all).
