Phew! This one is my longest comic yet: didn’t want to cut out any Harry or Minerva badassery. Also the Carrows are the worst, so this was very satisfying to draw. >:)

Chapter 3: First Year: The Sorting

“Want us to wait for you, mate?”

“Why?” Remus asked, eyeing the dark haired boy suspiciously. James shrugged,

“So you don’t end up on your own.”

….

Remus found James still standing there, alone, waiting for him.

“Told you I’d be ok.” Remus said, annoyed. James just smiled,

“Yeah, but you missed Longbottom giving us the password. Didn’t want you stuck out here all night. C’mon.”

James led him to the end of the corridor, where hung a large painting of a voluptuous woman wearing pink.

“Widdershins.” James said, and the portrait moved away, swinging out like a door.

I’m actually fine with Albus Severus as a name, but nobody ever appreciates Hagrid and Arthur, and that makes me sad :(

I made a mistake with the basket, it was actually a brown bag, I didn’t realized it until exporting, then I reread that particular chapter to check if the quote was right. Oof, oh well. .

They chose the one nearest a gold-colored cauldron that was emitting one of the most seductive scents Harry had ever inhaled: Somehow it reminded him simultaneously of treacle tart, the woody smell of a broomstick handle, and something flowery he thought he might have smelled at the Burrow. He found that he was breathing very slowly and deeply and that the potion’s fumes seemed to be filling him up like drink. A great contentment stole over him; he grinned across at Ron, who grinned back lazily.”
