Here is my approximate timeline of major Jeremy events as promised! Sorry it took literally forever @caroevs

Okay to preface, the ages are all approximate. We know that Bryson is the oldest, then Jeremy, then Annalise, then Joshua, then Noah, but we don’t know any of their birthdays. This is pieced together from context clues, which imply that there is about a year between each kid’s birth (I have the quotes and evidence in the post, but again it’s all just speculation) Same thing stands for events. I pieced together approximate years/times based on context clues. 

1984: Bryson is born. (“Bryson spent most of the year at Yale” He is in Law school. If he is a year older than Jere, he should be in his second year of law because if Jere wasn’t in exy he should have graduated a year ago and would be in first year of law school right now) 

1985: Jeremy is born

1986: Annalise is born. (“She’s studying poli sci at UCLA .” Implies she is at least 18 and in college. We know she is older than Josh and Noah) 

1988: Joshua is born (“Joshua and Noah were Irish twins” Since we know Noah is the youngest, that means that Josh has to be less than a year older than Noah. “Joshua lived with Arnold” Okay so the reason why I don’t have him being younger than 18 is because let’s say Noah is about 11 months younger than him. There is no way that Noah would have been let into that banquet if he wasn’t at least in high school. So let’s say he was 15 at the banquet, that would make Josh 16 at the time and that was four years ago “four years this August.” So, I made Joshua 20.)

1989: Noah is born (“Jeremy’s baby brother” youngest sibling)

Sometime between 1989-2004: Jeremy’s parents divorce

Sometime between 1998-2004: Jeremy’s mom remarries and Jeremy refuses to change his name due to teenage rebellion

2001-2002: Jeremy keeps getting speeding tickets to make Warren mad

2002 (Summer): Bryson and Annalise’s car accident. (“The summer after Bryson graduated high school” Using my 1984 birth year for him means he graduated in 2002) Bryson and Jeremy start doing drugs.

2002 (Christmas): Jeremy starts doing coke

2002-2003: Nan’s death and Leo situation, Noah starts showing signs of depression (“Josh had been begging them for help with Noah”. This obvi had to happen before he died so…)

2003 (Fall): Jeremy starts college. Fall banquet is in August (according to TFC). Sex/Drugs/Noah’s death. Jeremy goes to rehab. (“he’d done his first five weeks of classes long distance”) 

2007: Jeremy is 22 at the beginning of TSC

coming back to this account to say that every time I hear this song on the radio (which is an obnoxious amount of times considering I live in rural Maryland) I think of Adam and Ronan and this being their dream together. Because they totally live at the barns and raise their daughters (Chainsaw and Opal (sidenote-Chainsaw is so older sister coded)).

guys do you think nora is gonna drop tsc3 in 2025 since it's already half written or no....i just need to know if i should savor tsc2 or read it at the speed of light

The fact that Neil Josten canonically knows at least six languages is actually insane so here's my thoughts on all of them :)

English- English was his first language he learned (obvi). He grew up in Baltimore (hey im from MD too!!) so he pronounces words a little funny, like water as wad-der, and so on. Mostly soft t's and r's. Sometimes, he has a hint of a British tilt to some of his words, just bc of his proximity to Mary.

Japanese- I like to think that he learned a bit of Japanese in his father's house. This is his second oldest language, but it's also his second-least proficient. He never really had a reason to use it unless he was insulting Riko or talking to Ichirou. I like to imagine that he wants to improve his skills now that he has the time, so he watches anime in the background while he studies.

German- He learned German on the run, as we all know. He and his mom spent the first few years in Europe while his dad was still actively looking for them, and they bounced around from country to country for a while. I think he considers this his "second" language just bc it's the one he spent the most time using and practicing.

French- I love that he's canonically bad at French accents. He most definitely picked up French while he was bouncing around Europe, but like Japanese, he's not great at it. He got beat by his mom a lot for messing up the accents, and he could never quite grasp them. I mean, he got better for the sake of his own survival, but now that Mary's gone he can chill out a bit on perfect pronunciation. He considers French to be his "third" language, even tho the accent sucks.

Spanish- He knows a bit of Spanish from his time circulating the southern US. This is definitely the language he knows the least of. He can hold a slow conversation, but when Nicky starts to get ramble-y during their practice sessions he has to call it quits before he gets frustrated. (he still practices on his own bc even tho he doesn't have to run anymore, he wants Nicky to have a piece of home)

Russian- This is the last language he ever tries to learn. Him and Andrew pick it up fast, but they do it in such an ass-backwards way that they sort of suck at it. They 1000% just sub in German words when they don't know it in Russian and their accents are all off bc they don't have anyone around them to base off of. They both have like "second year of high school foreign language" level of proficiency but they both think they are great at it. Neil considers it his "fourth" language, when in reality he sucks.
