Yesterday I saw Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. I loved it. I had fun. However, it just occurred to me that I have been cosplaying this movie for pretty much the entirety of my magical performing career. As an HP fan, I have never really been able to identify with the Ministry of Magic. However, I absolutely identify with the Magical Congress of the United States of America.

Today and over the next few days you'll read posts from people who clearly don't understand the grieving process. You'll read phrases like, "get over it" - or, "stop whining" - or, "quit wasting time". Don't listen to them. DO. NOT. LISTEN. TO. THEM. This has been a long exhaustive election cycle. You are well within your rights to grieve what might have been. Be angry. Be sad. Be all of the things you need to be right now. Those of us who bounce back faster will start the process... will start digging in... will start the work and the fight back to reason and rationality. When your ready, roll up your sleeves. The machine will be chugging when you jump on board.

If I could bake, I would make sugar skulls or Pan Dulce. If I could sculpt, I would make senor and señorita skeletons. If I could sing, I would canta Los Esqueletos. I can't do those things.
