Not only did Itch.io delete all the nsfw games on their platform it is now denying payouts for these games under the guise of “violation of tos”

One user has suggested to set revenue sharing to 0% to prevent Itch.io from gaining any revenue from these games or other games in the future as a form of protest.

While this may not prevent itch.io from the money they’ve already gained it will prevent them from further gaining revenue on future games purchased from them.

At this point in time it does not matter if Itch.io was pressured into this decision or not. What does matter is they blindly pulled the rug from under many indie game devs, cutting them off from a source of income and continuing to hoard the income that is due to them.

No official statement or any semblance of guilt or sorrow, just a salute emoji and a back turned onto the community that built the website.

I recently started listening to the Expeditionary Force audio books. I'm only a few books in, but I'm freaking crying over the names one of the most advanced spieces give their spacecrafts.

Other races be like Vortan, Telaxion, Sword of Anacleon, and Dol Tershanna.

I prepeared this gif on the 1st of January for the Trump/Musk breakup.

One of the best stories I ever read as a child was a fantasy novel by some local dude selling books out of a suitcase on the sidewalk downtown, and I don't remember what it was called or who the author was, and it's so obscure that no matter how many elements I remember, I've never been able to find it through web searches. I only vaguely remember the story - it was a love story, something about a tower on an island and two characters on a quest to discover their forgotten past. They fall in love and at the end the only way to stay together is to allow themselves to forget again, and you realize that they're right where they started, in the exact same tower, and they're doomed to go on this same quest over and over again, never completed, but that also means they'll fall in love over and over again forever. And I remember how that ending blew up my little child brain into a million pieces.

I don't know what happened to the book, and I'll probably never read it again, but if you're somewhere out there and you were once selling fantasy novels from a suitcase on the sidewalk in the suburbs of Chicago, and if you ever felt like your writing never meant anything or went anywhere except a hundred copies you had printed yourself and sold for almost nothing, please know that your story buried itself in my young brain and has probably shaped my worldview in ways even I don't understand.

Added a horse.

I really like the horse designs in Asterix, but I failed with the head. I'll figure it out one day. I only now realized that the animation looks horrid when the speed is between a walk and a trot.

Reworking and testing the first temple is taking a very long time. I'm trying my best to not make the four normal tracks too similar - otherwise I would have left this one out because of how much work it is. I hope it'll be a fun track.

When I'm done with this one, I can finally finish the boss. Then I'll start working on the battle stage.

I've decided to upload it with only one world (four normal tracks, one boss, and one battle stage) since designing more stages and modelling them will delay the game for far more years.

I never played The Endless Forest for more than a couple of hours many years back (probably around 2005-2007), but I keep remembering it, and today I dropped in for a bit to check it out again. It was surprisingly active. Big thanks to this deer who patiently showed me around while I was struggling like hell with the controls and a remarkably low framerate (I prefere playing windowed - full screen fixed most of it).

Writing serious/angsty Asterix fanfic is such a chore because you’ll see yourself writing stuff like “and as blood dripped from his chin to the ground, Microwavix lifted his defiant eyes to centurion Biggus Dickus, who smirked in response”

Oh my god, I ALWAYS learn about these sites too late! I've been looking for an Asterix figurine just like that for a decade, and now it's sold out! Subscibed in case something similar pops up some day.

Editing the temple for the Amphibia game is taking an awful lot of time, so here's a little feature I added to the Asterix game a couple of months ago - Asterix losing random feathers according to his lost health vs maximum health.

His animation will also change, though I won't spend time on that until pretty late in development.

Not sure what should happen to the other playable characters yet (which are planned to be Obelix, Cacofonix and Caesar).

Switching between projects every now and then works well to keep me from a burnout.

This little Asterix game is still an extremely early prototype, and I'm only working on it when I need a break from the Amphibia game.

God dammit! 4th place in the Olympics-feeling. But it being shared with the crew made my day!

I live by a city with no billboards, and hardly any ads. They do have a roundabout with what they call "the stone cock" though.

i'd rather see 1000 graffiti penises than 1 product billboard. i'd live in dick city if it meant i could avoid advertisements in my daily life.
