In 1630, after Chhatr Singh died, Bhangarh declined slowly into the ruins that stand there now. When, after the death of Aurangzeb, the Mughal Empire became weaker, Jai Singh II conquered Bhangarh in 1720.
Even after this Bhangarh continued to diminish in population, and after the famine of 1783 the town has remained abandoned.

The Mystery
There are a numerous legends associated with the fort of Bhangarh, some famous legends told by the local villagers are of 'Guru Balu Nath' and 'Princess Ratnavati and Singhia (a black magician)'
1.] Baba Balu Nath
According to Legend the city was cursed by Guru Balu Nath. He had allowed the construction of the town on one condition that the shadow of the city not touch him or else the city shall be no more.
Not heeding the warning, a descendant prince raised the palace to cast a shadow on Balu Nath’s retreat. He cursed the town and since then the city has not been habituated. Balu Nath’s samadhi (burial place) is said to be there till this day.
2.] Princess Ratnavati and Singhia (a black magician) - The Main Story
Tumblr media
Another story about the city mentions the Princess of Bhangarh, Ratnavati. She was considered to be the jewel of Rajasthan. As soon as she came of age she started receiving marriage proposals from princes of different provinces.
There also lived a Tantrik, an expert in black magic, who fell in love with the princess. He name was Singhia. Knowing he couldn’t gain the princess’s favor nor marry her, he devised a plan to get her attracted to him.
When he saw the princess’s maid buying oil for the princess, he enchanted the oil so that the princess would surrender herself to him. But the princess saw him doing it and poured the oil on the ground. As the oil touched the ground, a boulder emerged from the place and crushed Singhia.
In his dying breath he cursed the palace and all those who lived in it with death. There was a battle a year later between Bhangarh and Ajabgarh in which the princess died. There are tales of ghosts still haunting the place. And some even say that that is the reason for the government barring all entry from the city.
The locals believe that the princess has reincarnated and the fort and the empire of Bhangarh still waits for her to return and put an end to the curse.
Apart from being haunted, Bhangarh is site of great tourist attraction in Rajasthan.

Do you know about The Man Of Taured ?
MUST VISIT : https://mybookofmysteries.blogspot.com/p/the-man-of-taured.html
WHO WAS HE?
Location : Haneda Airport, Tokyo, Japan.
Year : July,1954
One of the most perplexing events of the 20th Century did not involve flying saucers, conspiracy theories, a criminal act, or even strange creature sightings. It took place on a seemingly normal day in one of the most tedious, mundane places one could imagine: Airport.
Tumblr media
The Man Of Taured (sometimes called the Mystery of Taured or the Man Without Country) would be the story of a man who arrived at a Japanese airport from a country called Taured. The main part of the problem concerns Taured, so we notice that there are no countries known as Taured, either today or during the presumed period when the incident took place, i.e. the 1950s.
WHAT HAPPENED THAT DAY?
The year 1954 was hotter than normal in Tokyo, but at Haneda Airport it was business as usual. That is, of course, until one unknown date when a routine European inbound plane dropped off its passengers.
As the crowd made its way through customs, a neatly-dressed middle-aged Caucasian man stepped up and told officials this was just a normal business trip for him, one of three so far this year to Japan. His primary language was French, yet he spoke Japanese and several other languages. In his wallet was a variety of currencies from various European countries, as if to verify his frequent flyer tendencies.
When they asked him for his country of origin, things became strange. He casually stated that he was from Taured, on the border between France and Spain.
The officials told him that Taured didn’t exist, but he presented them with his passport—issued by the nonexistent country of Taured—which also showed visa stamps corroborating his previous business travels to Japan and other countries.
Yet when they called the company he said he was having a meeting with, they had never heard of him or his company ever before that moment. The hotel he had reserved a room at had no reservation for such a person, and the bank listed on his checkbook appeared not to exist.
Tumblr media
WHAT HAPPENED NEXT?
Not surprisingly, he soon demanded to talk to government officials to clear the matter up. Since he couldn't be detained in the airport's room forever, the airport authorities arranged for a room for the man at a nearby hotel that he could wait at while the matter was being handled.
To ensure that the man did not try to escape during the night, two guards were placed outside his room.
But the next morning, when the officers went to the man’s room, they realized that he had simply disappeared, and there was no sign of his escape.
From that day , the Man from Taured was never heard again........
