The New Covenant
Happy New year friends! I know it’s the ending of February buh I don’t really mind because I’ve not uploaded anything through the beginning of the year. This is the first post and it’s so dope to have you read it because we about starting a series. Yes! I’m super excited too. Basically, this new series is part of my Bible study projects; and I believe I should share it you. It could be of huge help someday or to someone you know. Instead of just writing em and storing em, I should let it all out. The title of the series is : The New Covenant. I’ve had this strong urge to know so much about the things God has in Stock for us through faith in our Lord Jesus. For us to fully understand and have a full knowledge of it, we’ve got to launch deep and study the Bible for ourselves than waiting for the next Sunday school class or midweek meetings. Let’s know the truth for ourselves through the revelation given by the Holy Spirit. I want to dare you to do the same. Thus to know about the New Covenant, we have to start from how and whom the message of the New Covenant message was given; and that actually commences from the Acts of the Apostles. These men understood firsthand what faith meant and how it affects everything about us. They were the foundational persons that passed on the message to us to through letters to churches which was later compiled into what we read as the Bible. As we begin this journey, I pray you launch in deeper to know and love God intimately. I pray you grasp and understand all about the New Covenant. And above all, I pray your lives speak so well about it. Have a splendid time reading Grace and Peace nckan Acts 1: WAITING So after Jesus left for heaven, he instructed them to wait at Jerusalem to receive the Holy Spirit before going on to do anything. The Holy Spirit had to come because; God's plan to commune with his creation was still in motion. Secondly, He(The Holy Spirit) will teach, guide, lead, and comfort them through the challenges that will be lying before them as soon as they start witnessing. Thirdly, their minds still needed renewal, they needed someone like Jesus to teach them the right philosophies to live and those ones they should break. And the reason for the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives still continues and tends towards infinity. The relationship Jesus had with His disciples was not just based only getting people to work for Him; he practically built a relationship that concerned about their basic needs just as He does in our time. His relationship was not so official, he so involved with all they did. This was why He encouraged them by telling them, he won’t leave them alone but send someone like Himself, someone that thought and understand how He does; someone that talks and acted the way He did. He knew for sure that for them to fulfil their official assignment, they needed Him around them to encourage and guide them on how to run things. Jesus knew for sure that for them to accomplish their purpose just as He did when He (Jesus) chose to walk on the streets of the earth, dying for some set of persons that cared less of who he was and still choose to still love them by giving up His life. He knew for sure they had to live by and with power which He did work with. Jesus as a human operated with might and power of the Holy Spirit. Anything that Jesus expects us to do or live by, he already did it when He lived on earth. That is, He teaches by being an example to follow. He lived by the Holy Spirit while on earth and he wanted the same for His friends –the apostles –and us. After hearing the instructions of their master, the disciples could not help but wait. Besides, they did not even know how to start and what to probably do. They did not even have the courage and confidence to come out in the open after seeing firsthand the extent the Pharisees could go and the pain that comes from the torture of the Roman soldiers if you get arrested. Thus, it was imperative for them to have the presence of the Holy Spirit to fulfil and accomplish their official assignment of reaching out to the world with the Gospel, healing the sick, freeing the oppressed and doing every amazing thing inspired by God. The coming and presence of the Holy Spirit was and is still the backbone of our faith. Without Him, I don’t think the friends of Jesus would have made any impact. Already they went back their normal business, living in the fear of being caught and persecuted; they won’t have gone far. We won’t have heard the message. To encourage them, Jesus reappeared to them and encouraged them to wait for the Holy Spirit. Inspired by their friend Jesus, they decided to wait. Now they did not wait as we do in our days. They did just gather in one place to talk about the past glories of Jesus, they did not just try to remind themselves about the great teachings and miracles of Jesus and how He gave them power one time to cast out demons and heal the sick. No, they probably did not do that. They did not gather to count the days and try to speculate the day the promise will be fulfilled. They did not count ceilings or the number of fishes they caught to pass time in expectation for the promise. Nah, they did not do that either. But what they did was sure the right to do. Just like Jesus, they laid an example for us to live by when expectant. So what did they do? They gathered in groups to pray. This is not the usual prayer meetings; they gathered and prayed with their minds and faith in one accord in expectation of the fulfilment of the promise of the Father. I believe they were not just asking because they knew their friend Jesus has already done that. They were praying with the expectation that Jesus will definitely keep to His word and this is an expression of their faith. And this is how God expects us to pray and live by. Their decision to pray together is the foundational principle of what Jesus told them in the past when two or three gathered in His name and if you ask anything in my name the Father will grant it to you. Everything Jesus said and instructed them to do were pointers and markers to fulfilment of their assignment, growth in faith and intimacy with the Father and the Holy Spirit. The minds of the disciples were agreed towards one thing: that the promise be fulfilled. Prior before now, they learnt about God’s timing and fully understand that the things of God will fall into place at the time God wants it. They can only but pray, trust God and wait for the manifestation. They were also positive by encouraging themselves through those prayer sessions. Friends, this is the life we are called to live by. We may not know all about the future and all it holds, but we can only pray, trust God and wait for the manifestation just as the disciples did. We can live victoriously by trusting God’s timing in all we do. Hope you had a great time reading. Feel free to share your comments and opinions. I will deeply appreciate that. And tell your family and friends about what we just learnt. Tell em bout this blog. So till next Monday before another post comes here on The New Covenant series. However stay tuned for more Posts this week. Have an amazing week!

KEEPING THE FAITH
So I got a post from my brother. It's a family thing. Have a swell time reading. The truth still remains that fear and faith are born from the same experience. I will excuse the fact that people get disappointed, get hurt, feel abandoned and even have to deal with very traumatic experiences which may make life seem unbearable. Why do certain women get raped, why was a loving child killed by a drunk driver or in cold blood, why are certain African children malnourished, why is life on an unbalanced scale? These questions of Nature's morality and fairness, these human yearnings for answers and asking God “why” often times covers the deeper cry of hope. People simply want hope alive even if they despair. They want to see a better life even if they are hopeless. However the power of fear is to keep one in the state where even what is possible, achievable, attainable and often times most fitting loses its beauty, its colour, its brilliance and its need. Fear does not simply say “be afraid”, fear says “you are my captive, I will determine what you have and do not have have, because I am your master and command you: 'Be AFRAID!'”. It becomes needful to know fear not as the psychologist explains it, or as the wisest of men may see it but as the opposite of Faith. What then is faith? I will say the opposite of fear! Would it mean whatever is not born out of fear is a product of faith? I will think not. What then is fear? I would in childish display of humour and galvanised foolishness covered by diplomacy say it is the opposite of faith. What then is faith? Would it not be every human response to the word of God? Every human response? Would faith be the moment when Noah in fear of rain which he had never seen but heard in perhaps “threatening” voice of God have built an ark with his limited resources and time freely given to him by God? Would Abraham not understanding biology but reasoning the impossible situation of Sarah conceiving a child lived in loving commitment and fulfilled his matrimonial duties knowing that a God who is Holy is equally powerful? Such questions will only keep us wondering the power of the human will and the working of faith. It makes me wonder why we do the things we do. For Noah would have chosen not to build an ark even if an angel had fallen from heaven. Abraham could have seen a promised child in Ishmael and never thought anything important of the words and promises of God. Sarah would not only have denied faith and laughed at God and His angels but could also have told Abraham: “please don't touch me, I am tired”. The endless list of possible reactions to God's word would have be recorded but we may not have read of Noah's fear, Abraham's faith, Sarah's confidence, Samson's strength, David's courage, Rahab belief, Ruth's loyalty, Elisha's prophecies, Elijah's fellowship and many much more. There is no best human way of describing what faith does to the human heart but when men irrespective of their circumstance catch a glimpse of what God can do even if things never get better, we only see how better we should live. And many times things did not exactly get better. Jezebel was still on the throne, would have still hated Elijah even after the prophet had heard the still small voice of God but Elijah had forever changed from a frighten self righteous man who felt all alone to a prophet who knew God still rules in the affairs of men and never leaves Himself without a remnant. Faith did not immediately dispose Queen Jazebel but transformed Prophet Elijah and in the fullness of time God's word which brought faith to the heart of the prophet ended the dynasty of the king, Ahab. In this regard, I think faith is not just what we do when we hear God, it is more about who we become after we encounter Him. Faith is then Jacob becoming Israel and losing the stubbornness of a fighter who struggled for everything he had. Faith is Joseph losing confidence in men and trusting steadfastly in God knowing that even when men might have wronged him, lied against him, sold him, jailed him or do worse of similar things, God was only leading him through the valley of the shadow of death and there was no need to fear evil since God was with him. Faith was Job knowing the unseen Redeemer who may silently sit with us in the ashes of our low times when friends have failed, spouses do not understand, family has abandoned us, neighbour shy away from us, help seems far, hope appears unattainable and there is no logical reason to think that life will ever be beautiful again. Maybe faith is every human response to God's word but if I will only be a little bit more honest, I will say it is simply obedience to God's word whether we were afraid or not.

Dear Wunmi
I knew for a short period buh those moments were very memorable. I know for sure you are resting, Free from the worries and troubles of this world. As I think about you, I can only hear the echoes of my thoughts :"Wunmi, was so sweet, and had great sense of sarcasm" I feel so grieved even though I know the truth "We don't mourn as those who don't have hope" It keeps ringing! But I want to be grieved. I want to cry. I sense and feel the void people feel when they loose someone. RIP Wunmi Grace and Peace

The World needs
The world needs Me The world needs people to stand in the gap and lead young people and be an examples for them to emulate. The world needs not just a random poet with great lines, rhymes and rhythm but someone that writes sense; reaching out with words that even a comman man can make sense out of it The world needs music, coz it nourishes the soul. The world needs to see the beauty in African prints and the African couture. The world needs to keep memories via photo shots whether it's an off guard photo or a posed session. The world needs to see Me because I'm an ambassador; I represent God and everything about Him. I want this, the world needs that, what do I need?

Dear Son series
I don't even know what to classify what I just wrote. Dunno it it's an article or a poem. However, it's an inspiration from my study from the books of proverbs; how a Father gives advice to his son. This post is also inspired by my Father and every male figure out there, somehow you've shaped my thoughts to pull this through. Enough with the introduction, I present to you: Dear Son Dear Son Never grow into bitterness but thank God for everything. Let your worries led you to your knees not the bar. Try not to lament and transfer your frustrations on your siblings, but discuss the problem and work towards a solution that depicts excellence. Train your lips not to complain, murmur or grumble but works towards providing a solution. (Phil 4:6) Whatever you do, pursue excellence. Excellence exalts little efforts into a jewel with a high mark. Know that excellence comes with a price that is not cheap. Bear in mind that excellence is not necessarily exotic or expensive nor luxurious. Excellence can also come with simplicity. Never assume or conclude, rather ask questions. You never know how accurate something is until it is tested. Your hypothesis and assumptions are not the ultimate. God is ultimate and he has the most accurate knowledge of all things. Do not let fear lead you to do nothing. Challenges come to refine you into a great figure not break you. Running away from challenges or responsibilities does not solve the problem worst of all, it makes you less efficient for greater tasks in the future. My dear child, a man is not defined by his loud voice or his strength. A man is defined by a sound mind that submits to authority. A man is not defined by his intellect only, but by common sense that shows wisdom. Remember always that success is not defined by accomplishments, achievements, wealth or status. Success is defined by a heart willing to serve and the joy of being content with what you have. The race is neither for the swift, nor the strong but for those whom God shows favour. (1 Sam 2:9)

THE BEAUTY OF DEATH
Life has its ironies, on the same date, same minute, same second; two great events occur: Death and Birth. Death is as natural as Birth. It is inevitable.
Such irony, we celebrate when we hear the cry of a child and we become all sorrowful when we lose someone.
Such irony, Birth connects with the living and Death separates from the living. God gives and takes. We all know that we would die but never wish to meet that date.
Just as so much emotions of joy is seen when Birth arrives, a reverse of tears and mourning is seen when Death comes. Death and Birth are natural and not evil.
Death has been seen as evil. The truth is life begins after Death and Birth brings life.
Death is indeed painful, yet calls for responsibility. For anyone to die, then there is obviously time for a change.
Christ died and the World changed. Death creates the space for those who are living to continue the race to live.
Due to human emotions, the truth has been neglected and death is regarded as evil.
Death is as pure as Birth. God’s plan is for us to live with Him eternally, but we can’t accomplish this mission if we don’t die.
Die firstly to our flesh by accepting Christ and die to give up our Souls which will live forever giving God all the glory in heaven.
Life on earth is temporary and never real, everything is gradually passing away just as He proclaimed.
Death comes and takes people to life-life eternal-heaven or hell. This is what we should be concerned about, not necessarily to the fact that the person will not be seen around anymore but where will the person live, where will the person be?
Will he live in glory or in condemnation? Will He be in hell or in heaven?
We must have it in our minds that life is about life after death because that is when true life begins.
We must accept death naturally just as birth comes. We should live with our minds fixed on how and where we would love to spend our real lives-life eternal.
We must understand that Death however separates the living is not evil but for the good.
We must not fear death but live with love so as have a place in heaven. We must live happy, rejoicing and show appreciation to the Almighty that gives and takes life.
The choice of where life eternal is spent is not chosen by God. The choice to be in heaven after death is made by us.
We choose where we want to be by the way we live here on earth. God will never wink at our sins, thus we must flee from sin and live free depending on God’s grace.
Those who are living should take the advantage of correcting their path and walk according to the instructions of the Holy Spirit. Those who have died will face judgment.
Oh death! You were created not for bad but for good. We must embrace Christ to live rather than to die.
We must choose the gift of salvation offered at the cross. For in Christ we find true life. Such that when we die, we live.
Choose Christ today, receive Jesus today and be saved…
