This update is for the smaller stuff in our game. The pills can be dropped from the first aid box that are going to be destroyable in N.A.N.O. They can act as buffs or can be nerfs. The green circle is a bullet that the player can shoot from his gun and the last icon is for the player to press to do the actual attack in game.

Another update from the art team. These are the sprites for our enemies and obstacles. Since we are going for a sci-fi look but also have a bit of realism, the zit is to bring it back to the real life body. As far as the art asset of the game, this should be it for the updates. But of course we will put up more if any changes were to happen. Stay tuned!

This is the completed world design. One of our post earlier showed a very early draft of the world design that you see here. The look overall is very human body-like. As expected of course since our game is set inside the human body! Overall our game will have a sci-fi feel to it and we hope you guys got that feel while scrolling through our development log!

Character Creation


As we were making the level and world design, our art team was concurrently working on making the main character. Safe to say, he looks awesome as hell now. We will post the initial sketch of the character soon but for now, enjoy looking at these photos!

After the the dungeon crawler was selected, we straight away started on prototyping the game. The photos above are just a few of the prototype that we had in the initial stage. As you can see, nothing is fleshed out and all of it is just wire frames. So this is the initial base that our game is working off.

First thing we did was a High Concept Documents. We decided to throw around ideas we had based on the given theme. Our team was given the theme of Antibiotics. After going through a few ideas, we decided to flesh out two of them. The first document is a game about a dungeon crawler game. The player takes control of a antibiotic pill that a patient takes and his goal is to destroy all the bacteria that is infecting the body. Second idea was a shooter. At that point of time we weren’t sure if we wanted a first person or a third person shooter but did want to make a shooting game. However, after presenting these two ideas to our teachers, we were given the green light to make the dungeon crawler so that was our goal from then on.
