A blog in which I occasionally interact with others and sample what this site has to offer. Neurotically apathetic and yet individualistic. Socially maladjusted writer. World-building enjoyer. Character interaction enthusiast. Dealer, analyzer, and synthesizer of information and content. Insane to a degree of certain concern. Proud practitioner of "non-consentual creator-consumer role-play". Fueled by spite.

Sometimes we’re unsatisfied with a thing we made because when it only existed in our head, we saw all the things it could have been and when it’s done we know all the things that it isn’t, but we can’t see the way it expands into a million new things when someone else unpacks it in their head.

A labubu is a powerful charm if the one it is bound to is full of love and not materialism
idk. maybe im too much of a hermit to understand such things. but ultimately it’s a mass produced piece of fabric and cloth put in a “mystery box” to trigger the part of your brain that loves gambling; a carefully-cultivated, intentionally-created market of trendy consumerism and inflated values propped up by a sea of collectors and venture capitalists, all designed to ensure that it’s just quirky enough to be endearing whilst serving as an inherently “prized item” for young adults and teenagers divorced from any inherent value or function. you are not playing with your labubu. you don’t love it just because it looks cute—or, if you think you do, you have been deceived by marketing. it is a commodity of wanting. it is a brand of having. it is devoid of purpose or soul, other than what you give to it—and your choice to give it your soul doesn’t exist in a vacuum

I could never get a humanities degree because I could only read copious amounts of text and sift through large amounts of information if it was fun for me.

My therapist, who specializes in adults with ADHD, recently told me that all of her clients need a three day crash period after a big life change. Finish the semester? Crash. Change jobs? Crash. Go on a really cool, really relaxing vacation? Crash the moment you get home.
It's true of literally all of her clients. She works with a lot of them to put systems in place so that their crashes are only three days. This includes the high-powered execs who travel regularly for work. It does not matter how successful or high functioning they are - they have ADHD, and crashing is just part of the process of living with it.
I'm sharing this with all you ADHD friends out there, just in case you (like me) start shaming yourself if your crash lasts more than one day. It turns out three days is kind of the best case scenario. Be kind to yourselves!
[This post has been edited to change "crashout" to "crash". It was causing confusion and/or offense, especially to people who thought I was referring to "crashout" as the term exists in AAVE (also being appropriated into gen z speak right now). I'm sorry about that. Please reblog this version of the post in the future!]

New horrible fad:
Cute animal videos from tiktok but when you unmute it isn't cute animal sounds or even obnoxious music, but a synthed voice reading an ad copy for a product completely unrelated to the video.
I just saw a video clip of a guy helping a skunk that was stuck in a skate park, and when I unmuted, hoping to hear something like the camera guy going "dude, is that a skunk?" but expecting to hear canned glurge music, I instead heard "vacation packages for blah blah carry on luggage buy our crap".
It's insidious! People share videos like that because the video itself is worth watching, and plenty are going to reblog without having unmuted, and there's no way to preemptively recognise or block the ad!

Though intended to cheer up family members, the unflagging optimism of 4-year-old Shelby Cooper has served only to exacerbate the financial stress her parents have experienced since her father lost his job two years ago, sources reported Monday. “It used to make me smile when she’d say, ‘Don’t worry! You’ll get a million dollars!’” said Ken Cooper, admitting he has since grown to dread his daughter’s good-luck nose kisses. “But now when she crawls onto my lap and tells me I shouldn’t be sad because I’m the strongest Daddy in the whole world, it just makes me feel like an even bigger failure.” At press time, Shelby was coloring a picture of her mother, who when reached for comment said drawings of her leaving the hospital on a rainbow only made her worry more about how the family would pay for her cancer treatments.

Messaging people for the first time is so hard. What am I supposed to say? Like, "You seem really odd and your blog intrigues me. Do you want to have philosophical conversations or perhaps talk about fictional characters?" What! Whatever. I will just follow you back and stare at your blog with my big beautiful brown eyes.

The problem isn't the over designed twinks or the silly horse girls or the goofy cookies it's the gambling. You guys know it's the gambling right? I need to you all to know the problem with gatcha games is that they're just normalizing gambling addictions to younger generations.

Fondly remembering the times where a school assignment I had was just me coming up with a bunch of OCs with a bunch of historical context behind them.

Probably the same thing that's wrong with me.
I think I answered that question... I remember reading a book on Europe on the cusp of WWI. Crucible, I think. Yeah! I have it. 1917-1924. So yeah, I answered the Hitler question.
Yes, you did. Holy shit what the fuck is wrong with me?
