The ground was uncomfortable. He blinked, and the wolf was moving, writhing and pushing to its feet. The next time he blinked, everything was gray with pre-dawn light, and the wolf was growing flesh, grotesque and twisted. Nick groaned and closed his eyes again. When he opened his eyes again, the wolf was a man. His eyes widened. The man was naked and smeared with dirt; his hair was curly and messy around a handsome, sharp-featured face. He shot Nick a wide-eyed, panicked look and…bolted. He had a fantastic ass.
