Hello :) My name is Nikole Cooper! I am a believer and a servant of Christ in an increasingly unsettling and predictably unpredictable world. I seek the whole truth and take comfort in knowing He does provide such, if we are willing to hear and listen!

The Devil, or Satan
"The Bible never portrays Satan as wearing red, sporting bat wings, trailing a pointed tail, complete with horns and a pitchfork. This notion actually comes from Greek mythology, and this monstrous distortion pleases the devil. Satan was a beautiful angel of light who can still appear that way." From "Hidden Facts" magazine by Amzing Facts. I find it funny sometimes, but mostly I shake my head, that many people, even Christians, believe these old Greek myths are in the Bible when they absolutely are not! This is certainly not our religion. The Bible tells us Satan was once an Angel, actually the leader of all the angels. He was appointed the highest position possible in heaven before the Lord Himself, and stood as one of the two great angels on the left and right side of God's mighty throne (Psalm 99:1). But with great power and privileges must come with it great responsibility and unfortunately for all of us here on earth, Satan, formerly known as the anointed cherub Lucifer, meaning "light bringer" or "morning star", has fallen from this great role in heaven due to his pride, he "lifted" himself higher than others, and as the saying goes "pride comes before the fall." All the jewels and precious gem stones were made for him to wear (Ezekiel 28:14) and he was very beautiful. He became too proud and wanted to be the same as God and have the same abilities and status to rule. When he was told he could not he campaigned to the other Angels, winning favour among them, tension began to build amount the spiritual beings. This lead to a rebellion in heaven and he, and all who followed him, was cast out. The earth was created and on it, two of the most beautiful creations the Lord made. A handsome strong Man in God's own image and likeness, and then a lovelier Man, whom the man called called a woman, delicate and soft in feature and nourishing in nature. Lucifer was quite unhappy at not being a part of this, and more unhappy he couldn't do such a thing as create something out of nothing. He had nothing to do with the creation of this new world and was determined to get back at God, probably more specifically Jesus. He succeeded in tempting Eve and from then on has been Satan, meaning "adversary" in Hebrew. Something I made about two weeks ago. I need to find my creativity again and so I figure a great place, and probably the best place, to start is to look at the most magnificent of all creators, God Himself. Praise God for everything He has made and given us. Let us remember in everything we see around us that is natural is beautiful and wonderful in whatever form. He has put so much love and effort into creating a beautiful place for us to live and though at times it can bee hard to see that through the mess we've made, its still here all around us. Amen!

Amazing and beautiful, the word of God, and how it touches those who hunger for it. Here in privileged parts of the world we take so much for granted like love, food, luxuries etc. These warped priorities and ideas of how we are supposed to live distract us from truth. Truth about love and our...

On Our Generation: Be the Resistance! rant
There are actually more youth today than there are elders. There have been more born into our generation than the Boomers, isn't it obvious? Mike, my fiance, and I have said to each other before that what we've been lead to believe about some future chaos when the Boomers generation retire or pass away, doesn't seem accurate. Everyone -- people talking as well as the news-- has all mentioned or been worried because, "there's more elderly and older people which will cause some chaos in the next few years when they leave work or pass away and there's not enough younger people to replace them!" Mike and I have both known this was all crap. We look around to all our friends our age, and the social world and everything and we are like, "what the heck are they talking about? There's loads of us in this generation! So much so that its difficult to actually find a decent job because there's just so many kids!!!" We should be renamed the Boomers as there are just so many of our generation lol
There's so many we have very little choices of work -- or do we?. I would like to make a living using my talents. I'm an artist! I want to make money and contribute to my family and community with the talents God gave me, but it seems like the way the government has things moving so fast and people so brainwashed, talented people are lead to believe that they need to put their skills aside and work at McD's, Timmies, Burger king, Wendy's, A&W, Subway, or pump gas or be hated telemarketers!! Where is the talent in any of that? And you notice how a majority of them are food related? Humans love food, too much. We love food so much and we are so distracted by so many other things that the majority of us are not even paying attention as to what our food is made of or where it comes from, etc, we just buy it and stuff it down our throats and then that's a whole other chapter, which I may or may not go on about in a minute here...
Or maybe your lucky enough to have the chance to go through extended schooling. You could get a loan or maybe mommy and daddy will help pay your way through collage (or at least a year or two in which then you'll need a loan). But now you are in debt up to your eyeballs. Most people drop out, and those who don't have little chance of actually getting a career they wanted and went to school for. So your in debt from school, maybe you also have a car and in more debt, then living on your own and paying bills and cell phones. You have to settle with any job just to pay off what you owe -- back to those shitty burger flipping, gas pumping or product pushing jobs again, or ironically have a job where you are calling people about debt they owe. Now your dug down deep in debt, your depressed and your body is sick. You don't have time to make good healthy meals so your buying mostly crap you stick in the microwave or a quick 10 minute noodle meal you can quickly stir up in a pot. You look for labels like Healthy Choice, Blue Label or the Heart and Stroke foundation to make yourself think your eating alright when really your just eating the GMO cancer causing garbage that's made from companies funded by the government. Anyone can pay to have a label stamped on their product. With school and work and friends and family and alone calm down time, do you really have the time to do research on this? Most likely not.
Your sick so you go to the doctor who gives you a pill to help suppress things or cover things up. These pills don't actually fix the problem, they sweep one under the rug and then cause side effects soon after or years after, doesn't matter. Your just a product to the government. Your a stock in their big game of LIFE. Thats why you have a birth certificate and a social insurance number. The wealthy place bets on you from the time you are born! they see how much debt you will accumulate, in other words, how much money you will put in there pockets. They don't care about you.
And then people look down on us (Mike and I and others like us) and think we are weird for not wanting to be a part of the scene that has been sucked into media; the t.v. shows and music and video games, Hollywood and big news stations like CNN (beware of CNN syndrome!). I would rather be the person standing outside the box. I would rather not just look at the picture placed in front of me. I want to see beyond the borders of that frame and see my WHOLE life, see the WHOLE world in a view that I choose. Yes I struggle. I have two young kids and because of the harsh labor and abuse from bosses, etc, I also help to take care of my fiance now, which is a depressing struggle for the two of us in our relationship as well. Mike's 25 and should be in the prime of his young life but instead he is at home everyday going stir crazy and feeling like a a huge burden on me and the kids.
Many young people feel out of place in this world. They have talents they need to use and when their only options are those I've mentioned and they just simply CAN'T do these for whatever there own personal reasons are such as talents, interests, personality, people skills, knowledge (don't judge people, you don't know what life they've lived) what happens? Instead of conforming to the government and the governments world they can't help but rebel. From rebelling by working under the table trying to get by and feed themselves and/or a family to full out protesting, crime and abuse and literally going insane.
We are not cattle! We've been sucked into a world where we have been given everything humans wanted and have wished for through history and we are forgetting about the things we need. We need to use our skills and talents, we need to help people, we need to feel we have purpose and we need to love and I mean truly love people! But we are so stressed and have been trampled on so often that we have lost our care for people. We feel everything is someone else responsibility. We see a car on the side of the road 9 times out of 10 most of us don't stop or call because we figure they are doing fine, everyone has cell phones, someone else has called, so on. You hear a scuffle or a heated argument somewhere in town but don't do anything about it. And whats worse? The realization that even if you do, our "protectors" the law enforcement, probably won't do anything anyways.
This is a sad age we are in. Bottom line is that the government has us so highly hung up on this that righteous priority, morals and worth truly do not matter. We revolve our lives around celebrities -- do they care about us? Do they see the struggle you go through? They can certainly act like they do, that's what gets us. Will they be helping get through your struggles, a friend to lean on or even at your funeral? We revolve our lives around what other people think of us or expect of us. I say we should take a long hard look in the mirror and see that we can do so much more that we are being lead to believe. We can be healthy and happy! We can take control, not by violently protesting, but by silently protesting. Make changes in your life like smiling at someone who looks like they are having a horrible day, offer help to those who are need of a friend, don't judge someone because you really have no have idea what life they have lived. Your a person who deserves love, so are they even if its hard to do.
Maybe instead of going to the bar one night or a trip to the pizza place or snack isle or video game/movie, spend the money you would have spent on something actually worth it like ingredients to a recipe you'd like to try, or some seeds and a cheap planter for a little indoor garden. There's really not a whole lot of work to it. You could just use recycled milk jugs or cartons you were going to get rid of anyway, a bag of soil and seeds (or something already sprouted at the garden center). Or get some craft supplies for you and your kids to do a project (and again a little plant is a great little project, My daughter can't wait to pick and eat our beans and peas and blueberries!). Or switch even just one thing on your grocery list from GMO to organic like ketchup, which btw organic ketchup really gives your plain ol' burgers or scrambled eggs a sort of restaurant quality taste. Or maybe get organic apples and bananas -- you won't even taste a huge difference with these, in fact they are sweeter and have a nicer flavour.
I write this because I love you, even if we barely talk or haven't seen each other in ages or don't know each other at all. You are a person under the same sun as me. You struggle with life just as I do. I believe God created you with just as much love and care as He created me and so I should care for you as much as I would care for myself. And I am definitely ok with the fact that maybe you believe in a different creation story. But that's ok! Love people, love YOURSELF --eat well, relax, be grateful and happy!. You deserve it, we all do.
Be the resistance!
God Bless :)

how can we avoid Satan?
How many believe in God and expect Him to be there for them when they need him or be blessed by Him when they've done good, but when He doesn't do what they expect and when they are not blessed they get angry with the Lord or frustrated with the obstacle they are facing? And everyone knows when you are angry you don't think clearly. So I think its fairly safe to say that, as a Christian to other followers of Christ, we have two options. We can continue to be angry and frustrated with the obstacle in ur life and try to tackle them ourselves, or we can step back from it, look at it, ask God for help and guidance, and try to do things as Christ-like as possible. Such is quite difficult in this world. These past few decades people have been so consumed in being a consumer, believing we can't live without stuff, and instead of putting our life if Christs hands we've surrounded our lives with Satan. And it seems like he has grown even more intelligent. Satan was created a perfect and glorious being to rule over the angels in heaven, having all the precious jewels made for him to wear in a beautiful garment. He was perfect! His existence was perfect! If I were created in paradise and had authority over all the angels I certainly wouldn't be complaining! But it wasn't good enough for him, he wanted more and more. So he rebelled and was cast out with his followers. He become more angry and bitter and jealous when he saw God and Jesus' newest creation, us. God, Jesus with him, CREATED something so beautiful and pure. Oh how Satan's jealousy and anger grew! He couldn't create anything... so he did the next best thing. He used the same tactic as he did in heaven to win a third of the angels. He manipulated Gods little beings and has been getting better and better at doing it ever since. So what does this have to do with this bible verse. So much! We ask God for help but what can He do if you are willing to or even unknowingly allowing Satan to manipulate your life? And you may ask, "well if its unkowing then how is it my fault?" Or "how am I suppose to know then?" For starters, you could read the Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth! The Bible is Gods manual for us, to help us in understanding Him and His will. To help us learn how to tell when Satan is subtlely or not so subtlely attacking us and how we can deal with it. When Joseph was in Egypt serving the Pharaohs captain, Potiphar, he was blessed with a good job, good pay, and respect. His obstacle came in the form a beautiful and seductive woman -- Potiphar's wife. She sexually harassed Joseph while her husband was away. Satan was working through her to get to Joseph. She came to him over and over, day after day and asked him to sleep with her. So what did he do? How did he handle the situation? He stayed away from her, he stayed away from Satan! "So it was, as she spoke to Joseph day by day, that he did not heed her, to lie with her or to be with her (Genesis 39:10) If you familiar with this story than you know what happens next. Satan, working through this woman, grew angry that he did not win. So he, through her, manipulated the situation and Joseph was thrown in prison. But his story does not end there. He later became a very powerful figure in Egypt beside the pharaoh himself! We must resist the Devil and turn to God in hard times, especially today! Satan will throw everything he's got our way to trip us up on our journey to Christ. We must stay strong and resist him and his demons even when we face persecution or worse. But lets talk about smaller things, the subtle way Satan attacks. I recently got a little booklet written by Doug Batchelor called Compromise, Conformity, & Courage. In it he mentions he was at a Christian wedding reception and someone poured champaign into his glass. Now, before I continue I want to mention something. In the Hebrew language, which the gospels were written in, the word "wine" has two meanings just like some of our English words. Wine could mean fermented and alcoholic, or just simply juice. Jesus tells us to stay away from the wine in which we can become drunk because in the state of drunkenness it allows spirits to talk and act through us. This can be confusing to those who don't know this. Anyways, pastor Doug had just had champaign poured in his glass and faced a difficult decision. He knew that Jesus said to stay away, but the person who poured it was such things like, "This champaign is only eight-percent alcohol. It won't get you drunk." He went on to say things about it being a wedding tradition and perhaps just pretend with the glass to his lips. It was as if Satan himself was pressing him with guilt to compromise just a little bit as to not hurt the bride and grooms feelings. But who is more important to be faithful to? Who's feelings are really more important? The bride and room's or Jesus'? I would rather stay true to God, and so would pastor Doug. Amen! We are faced with these little things constantly. Our friends and family, the internet, the shows and movies we watch, books we read, music we listen to, our jobs, billboards and signs around town, school... oh how frustrating it is that the Devil and his works are everywhere! But when we are faced with hard decisions, big or small, we need to ask God for help but also we must help ourselves. Don't watch wicked shows, read books of sorcery and thrilling murder crimes, etc. Ask yourself, what would Jesus do? Would Jesus read this celebrity gossip magazine? Would Jesus enjoy this comedy show? Would Jesus work on the Sabbath Wichita the Lord our God made holy and commanded that we remember and keep? Avoid Satan and stay strong, and help those who also need strength to do so. We are all sisters and brothers and need to stay strong together UN these dark and tough and confusing times. Amen and God bless!

Many Christians today live their lives as if they were atheists.
Being able to hold back our sinful nature has always been a problem but it seems like in these past few decades the world has just completely lost control like never before. People believe they can do what they want, when they want, and that there’s not going to be any consequences once they die.
Remember, you only live once and there are no second chances once you die. Whether you go to Heaven or Hell, you will be there forever and ever. If I only live once I’m making sure I use my time here on this Earth to glorify my God and live my life according to His Word. Remember that it is by God’s grace that you are saved, as Ephesians 2:8-9 tells us “God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it." It is your faith that will save you, for you were saved only when you believed in the Lord.
People think it’s okay to have premarital sex, to get drunk, to curse, to have their palms/future read, to follow their sexual urges whether straight or homosexual, to watch pornography, etc., but it’s not. Most of all the feelings we have are sins, not because God made us sinful, but because our ancestors - Adam and Eve - chose to follow sin rather than to stay in the path of righteousness and faithfulness. God didn’t make you gay, or a drunk or a cheater, etc., it’s all on you because you were the one that chose to follow sin instead of following God’s Word which is the Bible. Don’t blame God for “being that way”. God has given you the Bible as a guide on how to live your life, you just refused to accepted His instructions. Accept God’s grace and be filled with the Holy Spirit and be inspired to follow God’s instructions.
The Bible is God’s owner manual that He was kind enough to shared with us, after all our bodies are not actually ours to do what we want with it, our bodies are His! Many people have a problem accepting this simple truth. Remember 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 which tells us “Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body." Because God has delivered us, He has rights over us. He did not deliver us so we could do our own thing, but so we could do His thing.
We will always be sinners as King David said in Psalms, “I was born a sinner - yes, from the moment my mother conceived me" and we’ll be sinners for as long as we’re on this Earth, but rather than keep committing these sins over and over again we should acknowledge them and ask God for forgiveness and the strength not to fall prey to them anymore. You can’t just pretend you don’t sin because we all sin, Christian or not we all sin, but you can’t keep willingly sinning against your Lord either. It’s all about stop living an unrepentant sinful lifestyle. You must acknowledge your sins and seek repentance and do the best you can not to sin again, but we’re humans and eventually we slip up and thankfully we have a God that loves us and will forgive us if we just ask for forgiveness. As the Lord Himself said in Luke 5:32, He came to call “sinners to repentance”.
God made it clear throughout the Old Testament what the Israelites should and shouldn’t be doing. In the New Testament the Lord has reinforced those rules and regulations to not only the Jews but to the believing Gentiles (the non-Israelite peoples) too, and with it the whole world now knows how we should all be living our lives and the consequences for not following His commands:
Colossians 3:5-10 So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world. Because of these sins, the anger of God is coming. You used to do these things when your life was still part of this world. But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language. Don’t lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds. Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him.
Galatians 5:19-21 Now the works of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, depravity, idolatry, sorcery, hostilities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish rivalries, dissensions, factions, envying, murder, drunkenness, carousing, and similar things. I am warning you, as I had warned you before: Those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God!
1 Corinthians 6:9-10 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived! The sexually immoral, idolaters, adulterers, passive homosexual partners, practicing homosexuals, thieves, the greedy, drunkards, the verbally abusive, and swindlers will not inherit the kingdom of God.
What good does it do if you go to church every week but live your life as if God doesn’t exist? If you think you are saved because you go to church every week you are seriously mistaken and you are in for a big surprise once you die. Church doesn’t save anyone. Jesus Christ, whom is God, is the only one that can save you. You can’t fool God, He knows everything, which means you are just spending your time going to church every week if you are not willing to accept Jesus as your Savior and follow the Bible.
Are atheists gonna tell God that He doesn’t exist once they die and realize that everything Christians always talked about was true? Are Muslims and people that worship false gods going to tell Jesus that He isn’t God when they’re being judged? Are lukewarm Christians gonna tell God that they were just doing what “felt right” once they are being judged by God once they die? God allowed Jesus to die for all of us, and to live your life the way you see fit and follow your sinful nature is to completely dishonor and disrespect God’s sacrifice at the cross. How can you say you want to spend eternity in His Kingdom if you won’t even spend time with Him while you are still on this Earth?
I particularly find it amusing when people say “only God can judge me”, and you are absolutely right, only God can and He will judge you. What I try to do is bring to your attention that your life goes against what God expects of you. Attempting to educate and bring you to accept God and His commands are not the same thing as judging you. If I see you living a life that I know will lead to your destruction it’s my moral obligation to try to bring this to your attention. I surely wouldn’t want to spend eternity in Hell so I try to open your eyes to God’s Word and will, so you don’t end up in Hell either. Not everyone is ready to hear the truth as Proverbs 9:8 tells us “So don’t bother correcting mockers; they will only hate you. But correct the wise, and they will love you." I will never judge anyone, that’s not my place nor do I have the authority for it, but I can at least try to make someone see that their current path leads only to their own destruction. I try to correct their path in life out of love towards my God, after all we are all His creations, not out of hate towards anyone.
Remember that our hearts are “hopelessly dark and deceitful" as God tells us in Jeremiah, hence why we are told in Proverbs to “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.” Our “understanding” of the world is based off our sinful nature, hence why it’s so important to trust the Bible as our moral compass because the Bible is God’s Word and He is a perfect God and His rules and regulations are untainted by the sin and the corruption of the human heart.
The main problem these days is that people don’t fear the Lord as they should anymore and the fear of the Lord is absolutely a good thing, as it says in Proverbs: “Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true knowledge”. The Bible mentions two specific types of fear. The first type is beneficial and is to be encouraged. The second type is a detriment and is to be overcome. The first type of fear is fear of the Lord. This type of fear does not necessarily mean to be afraid of something. Rather, it is a reverential awe of God; a reverence for His power and glory. However, it is also a proper respect for His wrath and anger. In other words, the fear of the Lord is a total acknowledgement of all that God is, which comes through knowing Him and His attributes.
When we have trouble obeying God, we are clearly lacking in one or both of these areas: either we forget His glory or we forget His love for us, or we forget both of them.
Having faith and believing in Jesus Christ is a good first step, but that alone won’t save you. You have to live your life according to the will of God and you must accept that God loves you and you must love Him back by accepting His instructions found in His Word. God loves you and He wants you to respect and obey Him. He will forgive any and all sins and transgressions if only you truly accept Him into your life. How can you say you love your creator and your savior if you aren’t willing to respect His Word and will?
Please remember that you being saved came at a high price. Jesus had to die a horrible death for us. You have to accept God’s gift to you, which is His amazing grace which is bestowed upon you if you simply believe, but that doesn’t excuse us from not having to live our lives according to His Word. Even the demons know Jesus Christ is God, so don’t think you are saved just because you believe in the Lord. Remember that the road to Hell is paved with good intentions. You have to believe in Christ and live your life according to His Word, otherwise you’d be no better than a demon:
James 2:19 & 24 You say you have faith, for you believe that there is one God. Good for you! Even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror.
So you see, we are shown to be right with God by what we do, not by faith alone.
God loves you so incredibly much. What bigger proof of His love is there than having Him save you by His grace when all you gotta do is believe? We are sinful creatures and totally undeserving of His grace but because He loves us, every single one of us, He will bless us with His amazing grace if we just believe. That is the proof of a truly loving God.
To love the Lord is to be absolutely loyal and obedient to him in every way possible, a truth Jesus himself taught in John 14:15 when He said: “If you love me, obey my commandments.”
Accept God in your life while you still have time, for no one knows when they’ll die or when the Lord will come back.

You Can Help
It pains my heart to see you cry For you to feel your life's a lie Day to Day you strongly hold The thoughts of your friend whose life's gone cold But if i could tell you just one thought Its very small and not a lot Know there's much that life can bring Death is only just one thing It seems unfair I'm sure you know For a friend you loved to suddenly go We all go through it a time or two It hurts so much but we get through Alone at night a child's killed Bullet shells fall as his body's filled A women is raped and then she's beat She screams and cries beneath his feet A baby is taken away from his mother And placed in the home of someone other Though first reaction is pain and dismay From hearing the news you got that day Know there's much that can be done You can help another someone A friend of the boy who was shot in the night Is visiting schools and shedding some light In the lives of students who never saw The reason that there is a need for law The women who was raped and treated unkind Was at first suicidal but came to find The reason she went through this horrible act Was to receive a gift, her daughter in fact The baby who was placed with someone other Was soon over time given back to the mother She learned everything that was needed to give Protection and nourishment for the baby to live The friend, the women, and even the mother All have something in common with the other Instead of keeping inside their devastation They taught or learned new information I hope you know there's many who love you Your parents, your friends, and even Me too We're here for you whenever you need A shoulder to cry on or stop the the bleed Of the heart that's pained inside your chest For the one you loved whose lain to rest So what I'm really trying to say Is to let it all go even though it may Hurt you inside you've got to stay strong Keep your head high and carry along The path that your walking for you'll discover You've changed the life of someone other ******** I wrote this poem about 7 years ago in high school mostly for a particular friend at the time but I knew a few people who were going through a tough time. I'm too creative right now so I'm posting some old stuff with some newer stuff 'til my imagination finds me again!
