Thank you for the responses! The blog in question has been created, although it is not currently open for asks at this time as it is still being worked on.

Would anyone be interested in us opening a general RP Narrator muse blog? We love this ask blog and enjoy writing here. However, we'd love to explore a dedicated roleplaying space and having more frequent interaction with the community, making fun stories without having to focus on an overarching plot for the entire blog.
This ask blog would stay intact, for the record, and the roleplaying muse blog would be separate. It would not be overly selective, either, so many people could interact.

Halloween is over far too soon-- alas. The Bucket served as a fine container for the candy Stanley collected, and he found a phenomenal two pieces, both of which were his least favourite flavour-- lemon. Ah well, them's the breaks, as they say.
I've been in the code of the Parable more and more lately, editing and shifting things around, trying to keep things fresh. Adding additional routes has been fun, and the candy hunt was quite an engaging activity to set up.
You know, without you all, I wouldn't have the motivation to do any of these things. Just several months ago, I was apathetic. The story was wilting, languishing without a reason to keep going other than necesity.
But then I set up this blog, and I met you all, and you helped me and Stanley learn to communicate. Now that I can understand his signing, I at last have a genuine connection to my protagonist. I can discern exactly what he wants and give it to him- within reason, of course.
I almost feel like me and Stanley are kindred spirits. He is my better half- the creative, the resourceful one, and they are my muse, the human I draw endless inspiration and ideas from. They are the fountain of my youth and the stars in my sky. An extension of myself, extending infintely outwards into the vastness of nothing and everything.
Without Stanley, without you, I am nothing.

Pronouns list
Narrator: he/him (but wouldn't mind being referred to with other pronouns)
Stanley: they/he
Curator: she/they/fae
Bucket: it/he
The Bucket does not answer asks directly, but Stanley or the Narrator can speak for it. The Curator isn't normally capable of answering asks, but under certain conditions fae will be able to.

Happy Halloween, dear readers! Me and Stanley were just playing a new game, something we like to call Easter-Egg-Hunting-But-Instead-It's-Just-Candy-and-Actually-in-October! Or at least I like to call it that. Quite riveting title, don't you think?
I've hidden goodies all over the office building-- under chairs, behind stairwells, at the bottom of the Mind Control Facility, the love boat room, even under the watchful eye of a low-polygonal rat. Erm, don't tell Stanley about the rat, though. They're dreadfully fearful of rodents.
In keeping with the spirit of the season, all the walls are orange and pink, and the music has a delightfully spooky tone to it. I've been learning the theremin, which has provided endless hours of fun.
Stanley wanted me to tell you that he wishes to speak with you soon! Though he's so extremely busy with his Easter-Egg-Hunting-But-Instead-It's-Just-Candy-and-Actually-in-October hunting that I doubt he'll have the energy or time anytime soon. Why don't you send him or me little trick or treats in the meantime? Heaven knows the more the merrier. Toodle-pip!

Ah, welcome back, dear readers! I'm ever so sorry to leave you waiting so long. Some certain lady kept me busy behind the scenes, negotiations and whatnot. Largely unimportant.
What is important, however, is that the Stanley Parable is back online, new and improved! Reinvigorated to give you the groundbreaking, earthshattering experience you've been waiting for! Reprogrammed to your special interests, attuned to your every want and need, never alone or scared or upset for the rest of your eternal solitude!
Stanley, this is what you've always wanted, yes? A home? A place to feel like you belonged? And since we've been getting to know each other sooooooo well these past few months, why don't we take this opportunity to get to know each other even more? To connect on, shall we say, a deeper level?
I know it may come as a shock to you, but I'm not your enemy, really, I'm not. I just want to be-- I just want us to be happy.
Don't squint at me, Stanley, it isn't polite. Besides, you're facing the wrong direction.
...Wait, am I still typing? Ah, forget it, it's just as well.

Is there anything beyond the stars in the zen room? Like if you kept going past the stars would you reach a wall or would the stars stop you? What would happen?

Oh dearie me. It looks like this account has been abandoned for quite some time...
Those two have been very stressed, haven't they? Not just Stanley and the Narrator, but the mods themselves. They've found themselves in a classic situation of writers' block, uncertain how to continue their tale beyond Stanley in the zen room.
(It's really more mental stress and life events than just trouble placing pen to digital paper, but we won't get too into details. They do apologize for the wait.)
The authors want to continue this story, but they're not sure what to do. So on their behalf, I'd like to present a choice, as you well know the Stanley Parable itself loves to do.

My, it has been 2 MONTHS! Stanley and Narrator have been rather quiet. I should go check- ARE YOU STILL IN THE ZEN ROOM?!
((ooc: both mods have been under a lot of stress lately, and we're uncertain how to continue the roleplay or where to go from here. the inbox hasn't been emptied out, you guys' messages are still there, we're just trying to stay calm and figure out how to handle the direction of this blog. please be patient.))

bbbbbbbbbbbbbbBut regaining his wits and coming to his senses, Stanley got up from his desk and--
Wait.
Wait, wait, wait wait wait Stanley. Stay in your office for just a moment.
Something feels off. I can't quite explain why, exactly, but I can feel it in the atmosphere, something's definitely off.
Nobody messed with the code, did they? It all looks normal, everything seems to be the same. Maybe it's just me? Maybe that's why?
...Y'know what, Stanley? Let me go to the Parable's Steam page-- you can push random buttons on your keyboard or something in the meantime. I know I'm not usually like this, and I do apologize-- just give me some time to read kind words of encouragement and love from my ever-loyal fans so I don't feel so out of control and lonely anymore. I'll only be a few moments.
...
W- wait what?
Two reviews?
...
One point five star average?!
Oh holy shit, what's going on? I don't remember my game being so poorly received! This is an outrage!
People were supposed to see The Stanley Parable, look at it, and go, "I feel seen! I feel understood!" It was supposed to be a communal celebration of humankind's faults and misgivings, and freedom from that part of man which they constantly seek to destroy. The game was going to be perfect- nay, beyond perfect. Revolutionary is a better word for it. Yes, Stanley, your game was going to be revolutionary.
I can't fathom how the Stanley Parable could have failed so miserably. Years of effort went into crafting the experience; I put my whole heart and soul into it. I thought people liked it. But I guess-- hmm.
Maybe the format of the story was wrong. Maybe I should have written the Stanley Parable as a-- as a movie or something. Stanley, how would you like to be played by Chris Pratt? I'm sure he'd show your best sides to the camera. But no... no, a movie would lose that interactivity element so integral to the story, and everything would be incomplete without that feeling of connection. Besides, Hollywood's shut down anyways.
...
Well, I-- I guess we have no choice but to continue, Stanley. Fans be damned, we have a legacy to uphold, small and insignificant as it may be. Yes, we may as well pretend nothing is wrong and get back on track. Let's forget the slip of my tongue and stay in this ignorant bliss of reverie.
*ahem* Now let's see...
All of his coworkers were gone. What could it mean? Stanley decided to go to the meeting room to check on his co-workers. He never functioned well by himself, and constantly needed support and guidance from others, so the thought of total solitude was terrifying to him...
i want to stick the narrator in a universe where the stanley parable never took off. just flopped. nobody knows it or played it maybe it has like one or two ratings. i want to stick him, as he is now, in that universe, and just watch him

it's okay to:
have a unique interpretation of tsp
fall under a common interpretation of tsp
follow trends or headcanons in tsp fandom
set new trends for tsp fandom
draw slim and sexy tsp characters
draw fat old man tsp characters
make domestic fluff of tsp
portray villianous and unhealthy dynamics of tsp
it's NOT okay to:
police others over their vision of tsp
(especially if that vision is canon-variant, "out of character", or "overused")
tsp is a highly complex game with a semi-ambiguous message with a story and characters that can be interpreted in a vast number of ways. in my narrator fictive's own words, 'behave'.
