Naruto Worldbuilding Headcanon!

Sort of.

Buffing the Byakugan!

The Byakugan was written as an antithesis to the Sharingan but got mostly forgotten. I’m here to change that.

Well all know that with the Byakugan you can see the chakra points and have x-ray vision + almost 360 degree vision. Additional powers include:

Microscopic vision: Byakugan users can look at blood samples and whole bodies up to a cellular level. Their eyes are basically a substitute for a microscope, x-ray scans, ct-scans and mris. That part where Sasuke could see Deidara‘s cellular bombs with his Sharingan? We’re scrapping that. Only Byakugan users can do that.

Immunity to most visual genjutsus. Byakugan users can see when someone is using or under genjutsu and have a natural immunity against most Sharingan genjutsus, with only things like Tsukuyomi or other powerful Mangekyou genjutsus posing as an actual threat.

Splitting anything chakra made in half. We’ve seen my man Mukai Kohinata doing this to Itachi’s fire ball jutsu and in Neji’s fight against Kidomaru. Using their gentle fist, anything that is made of chakra can be split in half or atleast damaged. This includes Susanoos. Also, Byakugan users can disable the necessary chakra points of an Uchiha to activate the susanoo.

Detecting shifts in mood. There are changes in your chakra when your mood changes, it’s canon. Byakugan users can see when someone is angry, scared, happy, horny, you name it. They can also tell when someone is lying. If someone is trying to suppress their chakra, they can see it too.

Releasing chakra from all their tenketsu. Neji has done it in the fight against kidomaru. Basically it means they can release normal or elemental chakra out of their chakra points, which makes taijutsu pretty useless against them. Ex. when a Byakugan user releases fire chakra while someone is trying to punch them, they’d burn their hands. Medic nin who have a Byakugan can use this tactic to release healing chakra on their whole body, allowing them to heal themselves without using hand signs or the palm technique, if their chakra control allows it. A Byakugan user can also release tiny portions of chakra on their elbows or legs to make their punches stronger or highten their jumps.

There’s no next level Byakugan like the Mangekyou is for the Sharingan, however Byakugan users suffer no permanent damage from overusing their Byakugan. They temporarily have bad eyesight or even blindness, but it passes.

At first, he wasn’t the most prepared parent, truth be told. He didn’t know what to do when he first held his tiny newborn in his arms, as nine months flew by rather quickly, and suddenly, he was a real father.

“She looks like a burrito,” Sasuke frowned, looking down at his baby girl in her crib as she happily stared up at him, becoming giggly at the sight of her dad.

“You’re being too hard on yourself,” you reassured him, kissing his shoulder. “You swaddled her just fine.”

“Then why is she kicking around so much?”

“Because she’s looking at you,” you smiled, as Sasuke’s little worried frown was just as adorable as the baby in the crib. “She’s excited because she sees you, so she can’t stay still.”

Suddenly, Sasuke’s frown melted into a soft smile.

“She looks just like you,” he said softly.

“I guess you’re right,” you paused, “makes me wonder if she’ll act like you, then!”

“I hope not,” Sasuke looked over at you. “I hope she doesn’t end up anything like me. I hope she never has to.”

You were silent for a moment. Then, you grabbed his hand.

“She won’t lose us too soon,” you gave his hand a comforting squeeze, trying to look into his eyes. “I promise. When she finally loses us, it’ll be when we both die, old and gray, once we’ve successfully raised her to be a happy, loving adult.”

“Hm,” Sasuke paused. “I never thought I’d grow old. Guess we’ll see.”

“You will — we both will.“

Finally, Sasuke looked at you. You were so…hopeful. It wasn’t something he was used to, but he loved it more than anything.

He gently placed a kiss on your forehead.

“Fine. We’ll grow old together. It’s a promise.”

Tips for writing sasuke from his pov? You're the goat at it

So, Sasuke is a character with a difficult voice to pin down, but once you do you follow what works and you stick to it. I’m adding in general rules for pinning down a character’s voice because during my time writing Batman and co. these rules have only solidified.

General rules for cultivating character POV, using Sasuke Uchiha as an example:

- Go through source material and write down things the character notices when making observations, how they react to things, etc. when writing an up close POV, considering how someone takes the world in and what they pick up on first and foremost. For Sasuke, there’s lots of fights (in particular his battle with Deidara, for me) and lots of conflict to operate on for this kind of study. You’d be amazed at what you find.

- Study the way the character speaks. Sasuke falls into the category of a ‘talk around’ character, where they say half of what they mean and leave the rest on the cutting room floor. This isn’t to say he’s untruthful or indirect, he just cannot be fully open when communicating. Write what you want him to say, then take a big red pen and slash right through a chunk of it until you have the most standoffish, aloof sentence known to man. Applicable for most dialogue, which should add to showing the reader things about a character, but especially for ‘talk arounds’. For further examples, look to characters like Bruce Wayne.

- Write down his character traits and reference back to them. Sasuke is pragmatic but sentimental in equal measure despite loving the first and hating the second about himself. This not only keeps you as the writer straight on his priorities and self perception, it also helps you learn more about the character and how those traits can be applied.

- Think about what you love about the character, what you want to give him or take away from him, and let that be your new character goal.

- Canon is good, it’s also malleable. Add your own flare because the character will change just a little with their writer anyhow, so you might as well have fun with it.

She had never minded healing him. It was a comfort to her. A reminder that he needed her and she could do something for him. It was always the same when he came home from a mission. He come back tot he flat they shared, she run to him and immediately check him for injuries. Sasuke Uchiha was never one to complain about a gash or a break. Though he wouldn’t complain about it, or even tell anyone he had them, it was best to attend to any wound he had. Even if he swore he didn’t feel it. While he never made a big deal about his other battle scares, there was one thing he would always force her to attend to.

The Uchiha’s precious eye have been the center of many na issue concerning the leaf. Many Shinobi have been killed over the infernal things. And even with only a single user left to weld them, they were causing strife even today. Her lover could enter their home on deaths door, bleeding on the floor, gasping for air but he would make her attend to his eyes first. They were getting worse, she could tell, his overuse fo them bring him pain and on going headaches. But his comfort didn’t matter, he could endure all manners of pain, as long as he could use his oh-so eyes. As long as his clans prized kekkei genkai could still operate, nothing else mattered.

This mentally had brought them both here. The night had been different from his usual returns. He was oddly quiet and more aloof than his norm. The man, tired and weakened sat heavily on their bed while his partner stood in front of him. The kunoichi had her arms crossed with a scowl tempering her face. With his shirt removed the bandages were plain to see. White clothe riddled with red and brown spots. Covering wounds new and old. She could see that his shoulder was displaced and his fingers were set at odd angles. There were so many things that needed her attention, but he wouldn’t let her near them. Not until she healed his eyes.

The same eyes that were brimming with blood, trails running down his cheeks. The same eyes she was beginning to resent. That guttural bitterness toward the gifted retinas had brought her to sooner want to pluck them out than lay a chakra pulsing finger near them.

“You won’t heal them?” he said finally.

“That is what I said.” She countered, fury seeping through her.

“Doesn’t that go against your code?”

“You’re refusing treatment,” her tone became as cold as his. “I’m not going to touch you.” The sound of his grunt, only seemed to bother her more. His agitation now mirroring hers. Her eyes took in his body position. He was looking down, as he had been the whole time, muscles taunt. He looked like a band ready to snap, on her more likely. But the Uchiha was no fool, he had learned to play the kunoichi’s specialization against her.

“Medical code regarding my clan-,”

“States eyes hold priority,” she recited, “ But I will not heal them if you refuse to let me treat you. Code states if eyes are not severely damaged other injuries come first.”

It was a power play, a trap of words. He knew that she would heal him if he told her how bad it was. But she knew he wouldn’t do that, he wouldn’t tell her how bad they are now.

“Not treating me, hm? That sounds unethical,” his voice teasing under the strain. This ploy had only worked once before. Calling her out on morals had gotten her assist him without the regular lecture. But now she was prepared.

“I’m trying to treat you,”

“Bargaining more like it.”

“I’m off the clock, you can agree or continue to be in pain.” She rose a brow challenging him. Logically speaking, he didn’t have to be tended to by her. There were other medics in the village, his former teammate one of them.

Standing, he carefully went to retrieve his shirt so not to agitate the possibly cracked collar bone and definitely broken rib.

“And where are you going?” she asked, resisting the urge to assist him.

“To the hospital,”

“So they can do the same that I wished to do?” he didn’t acknowledge her as he managed his shirt. His back turned she saw even more wounds, a slash, a large darkening bruise and a large patched spot possibly from a kunai puncture. “You’re being ridiculous, love just let me help you.” she laid a hand on his intact shoulder, seeking to get him to turn toward her. The man steeled his stance, resisting her motion. With her hand resting on his skin she could feel damage to his chakra points. Shaking her off only seemed to cause him more pain.

The damaged to his body was extensive. Mush more than she had thought. And yet here he was going to walk to the hospital just for his damn eyes.

“Those eyes more important than the rest of your body?” the teasing tone he gave to her, shot back at him. It almost seemed to be mocking him. But it held an edge, unlike his anxious tone hers held a note of desperation. The Uchiha wasn’t going to answer her, she could tell, he still had yet to look at her. Making a move toward the door, he was cut off by her form, a hand pressing against his chest.

“Don’t be stupid,” she said, her tone absolute. “Do you think Sakura will put priority to your eyes? No one is going to put your pride before your body. Quit being an idiot!” She did her best to angle her self to catch his eye, but her partner turned his face away. Now refusing to look at her. This only served to anger her more. Having two doorway in their bedroom, the last Uchiha simply made his way to the the other door.

No matter how apt a ninja he was, he was still injured, making his lover quicker to reach him.  Fending off was a simpler, albeit painful, task. Placing an arm to stop her movement, he turned her finally looking ‘straight’ at her.

“That’s enough,” he said sharply. His voice a little haggard as his breathing roughened. The medic-nin had been prepared to face down the fire behind his stone expression. Staring her down as he moves “menacingly” into her space. But she wasn’t the receiving party, not exactly. He was indeed glaring at her, but just her form. The shinobi was looking to his right, to a full length mirror with a reflection of herself.

“Love,” his lover called to him the placement of her voice causing him to look back toward her actual body. Just slightly off center. Moving close to him, she rose her hands to either side of his face, watching as the bloodshot sources of contention stared at her in an unfocused gaze. “Love,” she repeated as she gently caressed his face. “Can you see me?” No answer was given as he shut his eyes. One eye releasing a single blood mingled tear.

Suddenly it all made so much sense. From the moment the man had walked into their home he avoided her. Her husband had not spoken a word to her as he entered their home. Shoes still on, he limped to the bed room. ignoring her calling for him. As he entered their room. His silence had been disconcerting as she tried to get him to participate in her evaluation of his injuries. As she undressed him, her hands touching painful part of his body, he moved them to his eyes. Almost frantically. His wife now understood his non-answer to why he hadn’t gone to the hospital, he probably couldn’t see well enough to go.

Her love leaned, resting his forehead to hers. “I need you,” he said softly, reveling in her touch. “I just need to see you…please.” All of his urging, his tense stance, the coiled snake air he held, the gentle tremble she could feel through his being…it had all been fear. The near blindness he was enduring, shaking him. Sasuke, knowing no other way, reached out for the one thing he needed…her. And he couldn’t see her.

“Of course,” she agreed gently, cautiously she ed him back to their bed. Placing her hands over his eye, a warm green light filtering through her fingers chakra pressed into the affected area.  His hand stayed on her. Mishapped fingers clutching to the place on her thigh right below her behind. Clenching and releasing as he worked. “You’re so stubborn,” she teased softly. “Had you told me…”

“And gotten a lecture?” he returned her tone.

“This wouldn’t have happen if you’d be careful.” Feeling the proper arrangement of his chakra, removed her hands. Blood rimmed eyes opened, his black eyes focusing in on her face with each tentative blink. The dark orbs saw tears flowing down her cheeks. The dark hair man using his thumb to brush it away. The woman smiled at him, forgetting the loving look he gave when he looked at her. Looking into the eyes of her love something occurred to her. “I’m amazed you even made it home.”

“Don’t be silly,” he said using what little mobility he had in his hand to pull her closer. “I’d always find my way to you.” Rolling her eyes at his random act a sweetness she rest her forehead back on his. “I love you.”

“I love you too,” she answered  before kissing the sacred spot on his forehead. “Now let me treat the rest of you, stubborn ass.”

F - Flirting With You:

He… isn’t very good at flirting, and can end up getting frustrated as he tries to find a way to get his interest across. He’s much better at it when he doesn’t overthink it, and interacts with you naturally, finding that a simple smile and sometimes his intense gaze works in his favor.

J - Joking Around With You:

He’s normally serious and straight-faced, so his jokes always fly in out of left field. You have no idea what to expect from him sometimes, so when he makes a comment that even remotely sounds like a joke, you stare at him and wait for him to clarify if he’s actually kidding with you. He always rolls his eyes when you imply he doesn’t have a sense of humor, but you think it’s cute he shows that side to only a choice few.

K - Kissing You:

He’s very good at at completely stealing your attention, making you forget about any troubles or tasks you had ahead when his lips press against yours. They’re surprisingly soft, so soft, and he lets out a growl of approval when you give a love bite on his lower lip, pinning you against the closest hard surface as he dares you to do it again.

Y - Yelling At Each Other:

Sasuke is a loner at heart, something beat into him from his time spent alone, and it’s hard to change that habit of having to purely rely on himself. Even over the years as he’s changed to having more trust in those he cares for, he still tries to take on things that might be too much for just him to handle, and it can end in a vicious argument. His need to protect you by keeping things from you can also cause fights, though it’s harder to get him to budge on that one.

SASUKE UCHIHA

- Sasuke isn’t a man whose focus is appearance. He’s all about the energy they provide. If his s/o is caring and loving and fulfilling to their child, he couldn’t care less about how her body changed.

- Not like he wouldn’t care at all, but like he wouldn’t see the stretch marks or the baby weight or anything else as a nevative. He’d appreciate the differences to your body for they have brough his child into the world. That strong, wonderful body.

- He wouldn’t act any different to his s/o unless she was really torn up about it and the post-partum depression was getting to her. Sasuke would reassure them that their body hadn’t changed for the worst. Their body helped bring a wonderful life into existence and all the new marks were something to be proud of.

- Having a baby honestly scares the shit out of Sasuke, he doesn’t want his child to be anything like him. Once his baby is born he has a bit of a freak out and is a bit standoffish after the first month, but Naruto slaps him back to reality.

- But the first month and right when his baby is born, he’s so enamored by them he can’t believe it. He’s not the last Uchiha anymore, he really has a family again. He’s stuck between constantly shocked and ecstatic, and in denial and confused. He loves his family so much. He’ll never say it tho.

NARUTO UZUMAKI

- My sweet sunshine baby, throughout the whole pregnancy he’s so in love and enamored with his s/o, and it only grew exponentially after they had their child.

- Much like Sasuke though, he was scared about being a father. He was scared he wouldn’t be a good dad because he never knew love until his friends, he didn’t know how to be a father. But Naruto is Naruto and he’d be damned if he didn’t try his best.

- His s/o is an angel in his eyes. She always was and especially after giving birth, her and their child are the lights of his life. He’s so thankful to his s/o for bringing their child into this world and he lets her know that as often as he can.

- If they’re just hanging out in bed together in the early morning because the baby’s been up and nobody slept, he’ll poke his s/o’s stomach and tell her how beautiful he thinks she is. He notices the bags under her eyes and the way she looks at herself in the mirror. He’s made it a goal to point out something he loves about her body every chance he gets.

- He gently traces the stretch marks on her belly and tells her how beautiful the lightning strikes are. He rubs his cheeks into the soft mushiness of her tummy and blows a raspberry and tells her he loves her body the way she is. New baby features and all. She was his angel, always.

KAKASHI HATAKE

- Kakashi is such a Panic Boi as his s/o gets closer to her due date. Like the other team 7 boys he’s freaking out about being able to be a good dad because his passed when he was so young and he never got to know fatherly love properly.

- He lets his s/o know his fears because he wanted to be the best father he could, he wanted to give his child the love he never recieved, he didn’t want them to grow up how he did. He worked with his s/o to calm his nerves about the matter.

- After giving birth he tried his hardest to help his s/o not suffer from postpartum depression and he does his best to let his s/o know that her body is still beautiful and perfect to him. Whether he has to prove that physically or with words, Kakashi is happy to oblige. He never wants the mother of his child to feel insecure about herself.

- He kisses every stretch mark filled area, holds her by her love handles when they cuddle, and kisses every part of her body, especially the ones affected by childbirth. He tells her all the time that her chubby cheeks and big thighs bring him joy. The way her breasts hang is still sexy.

- He makes it very clear to his s/o that her body, her beautiful, perfect body, full of blemishes and imperfections, makes her all the more perfect. He never fails to let her know that he loves her inside and out, despite the differences from giving birth. He loves all of her, forever.

The Announcement

“I’m pregnant” Hearing these words there are a lot of things that begin to run through that boy’s mind. Marrying his s/o provided that this could in fact be a distinct possibility of this happening. It also shouldn’t be too much of a surprise since his whole goal was to “rebuild his clan”. But there are differences between saying something and watching it form into reality. 

He would need space and time to think. He has spent so long in trying to be a step ahead he would need time to plan this as well. Even when he comes back he will still be emotionally distant still. These things will take him time to get through. His S/O shouldn’t worry too much. He will eventually return and solemnly nod in his S/O’s direction or calmly pat their head before going off to do something.

Though he may not be there as much he usually is. His presence manifests in different ways. Feeling a craving? It has already been stocked away in the fridge. Not enough pillows on the bed? Got that covered too. The nursery has been set and every so often things change seemingly over night. The furniture that was bought has been mysteriously set up. Though his S/O may have picked the room color, the walls are now painted with the Uchiha fan on display.

Clothing and toys have also mysteriously made their way into the room. It would seem that some magical being has left them their like presents for the his future offspring.

“Do you know how these onsies got here?”“What are you talking about?”

He won’t admit to it…it’s best to not even ask.

It isn’t that he isn’t happy its just that this is a big step for him. For the both of you. He is aware of this…and every other possible thing that could happen. He wishes to be strong enough to protect everything he considers his. So this announcement won’t be like the other ones going on in the village, this one is delicate. If anyone congratulates the two of you he will nod and maybe give a smile but that’s about it. When no one is around (And his S/O might even be asleep) he will lay a hand on their belly and feel for a heart beat and maybe a kick. 

The Arrival

Where others in the village might be running around frantic during the arrival of their first child. ( ahem *cough* Naruto* *cough*) Sasuke will be calm and have everything under control. He has had his S/O’s go bag packed, and the doctor has been notified.

No matter how calm, or how much of a pillar of strength he is being for his S/O, that man is going through it in his mind. He has read the medical journals, he has plotted and planned for this moment but that chapter in all of those books that go over all the “worst case scenarios” are playing through his mind on repeat. He can’t lose the baby, he can’t lose you. Everything that could possibly happen is out of his control and that isn’t helping his mental status.

Of course his self proclaimed best friend, Naruto is there support him through the whole thing.

“You know everything is gonna be just fine”“I know that,”“The medical team has done thousands of these”“I’m aware”“She’s gonna be find, you know?”“I know that! Why are you pestering me?”“Do you want some coffee?”……“Sure…”

And Naruto isn’t wrong. (Though Sasuke will never admit it) His S/O is just fine and they bring a healthy baby into the world. When the medical-nin allows him to hold the baby everything changes. He looks at them like this baby could everything. That this baby has all his hopes and dreams of the future in their tiny hands.

Parenthood (The Hardest Part)

Cue the rock trolls “We aren't saying you can change him, because people don’t really change~” and he won’t. Sasuke will always be himself even after the baby has arrived. Expressing his feelings will always be a bit of a stretch for him. And being a parent with him will never be like the relationships you see in and around the village. But let it be known HE LOVES HIS CHILD.

I see him having different relationships with different types of children. If he had a child much like he was when he was young (let’s make this one a boy) it might be a bit hard for them to connect. The boy is bright eyed and ready to take on the world. He wants to learn every jutsu, every taijutsu move and just about everything that the ninja world has to offer. His father is in no way equiped to handle such a child.

Time would seem to repeat itself. The boy would struggle to meet his father’s standards and maybe feel that he isn’t good enough. Sasuke in no way wants those types of feelings. It isn’t that the boy isn’t good enough, its just that Sasuke knows the horrors of the world and isn’t see that this child is strong enough to meet them. Sasuke won’t be able to correctly express this without sounding a little too harsh.

It will be up to his S/O to help these two connect. They will have to be the driving force to make sure that two bull-headed and stubborn men sit down and understand each other. This would mean dragging Sasuke to every parent event at the Ninja Academy, but this would also mean forcing the two to train together. The road here will be difficult and more then a little bumpy but at the end there is mutual respect and understanding.

Now let’s say he has a child that is very much like he is now. (We will make this one  girl.) She is taciturn and a little cold. She has a difficulty making friends and understanding others. She thinks just a little too much than is healthy. Sasuke can understand this. They spend long hours in each other presence, whether it is reading (whether the child is actual reading or coloring or something) or playing shogi or doing nothing at all. They enjoy that companionable silence.

They also have some of the same impressions of people

“Why is that man so loud?” She asked with as much wonder as her level of concern (which was low) could offer. Sasuke gave a side long glance to Naruto excitedly spoke to his S/O.“He’s strange, best stay away from him.”“Right,” she nodded affirmatively.

But this girl can help her father in more ways then one. She helps him be open by honestly saying how he feels. As he can help her with anything the Academy is working on. But as the two worked together her father also helps her find trusted companions and even a rival. When she does bring a friend home or connects with a team a little more, his S/O only gives a knowing smile to her husband. This child reminds him a little of Itachi in a way and something forces him to keep her near and safe. 

No matter which kind of personality he and is S/O give birth to he is a provider to each child. They want for nothing. New school clothes? Done. Sweet dumplings on the way home from Academy? Sure…but he is going seem like he isn’t enjoying it. He will always win a gold fish for his child at the festivals. He walk them around the whole thing and carry the child home when they fall asleep.

While he may not seem to be the most engaging by way of emotions, he is always wondering what is going on in his child’s life. He will always know how they are doing in school. If he is home from a mission he is often there to pick them up from school. He knows the names of all their friend and who their parents are. If his child wants to have a sleepover at a friends house, he knows where that house is and the game plan for the whole event. Again he has seen horrible things, nothing is going to happen to his family on his watch.

This man is a planner, every birthday, holiday and any other social event has been planned several months in advance. Save for parent events at the Academy. He will never remember them no matter how often his S/O reminds him. (They have gotten to the point they know he is forgetting on purpose. Example: He remembered when the Genin tests were but not the PTA social.)

He hates being forced to talk about how he feels. It makes him feel uncertain and vulnerable, a feeling he hates. Though he is more somber or serious than most, it does not mean on the inside he’s experiencing the same feelings he shows. He could be having the time of his life and have a straight face. Telling him to “lighten up” or “smile for once” will sour him into a mood you thought he had.

He finds amusement in using sarcasm. He knows how to keep a straight face, so seeing someone become flustered or confused when they try to decipher if he was joking or not amuses him. He speaks it at least 89% of the time so he gets plenty bouts of enjoyment throughout his day.

Sasuke enjoys outdoor activities; he does something every day if he can. Hiking, strolls on the outskirts of a village, jogging, even swimming is a relaxing activity for him. He enjoys activities that do not stop once you master them. It’s quite easy for him to master things such as knife-throwing or taijutsu moves, so hobbies that you can always make progress on such as running and swimming gives him more fulfillment.

He always disliked close-minded, ignorant people. He’s lived in many situations that are frowned upon by society, so being with someone who won’t even make an effort to understand that won’t happen. He doesn’t even surround himself in the company of those people.

Sasuke shows his love through acts of service. He makes your life more efficient, easier. He’ll sharpen your weapons for you, prep vegetables and boil water while you cook, or letting you sleep in and running your morning errands for you. He will actually listen to your troubles and offer swift solutions to your problems - or handle them for you. He makes sure you’re taken care of even at his detriment. Instead of speaking about his liking towards you or asking you on a date, he requests you two do something productive or quiet together, such as training, hiking, nature-watching, or teaching you a new skill. He may even humor you with a game of shogi, but it’s no fun since he’s so good at it :(

The largest indicator of his love, besides poking your forehead, is allowing you into his space. This could take months if not years for him to reach this point. One of his responses to his past trauma is to hold control over his surroundings such as his belongings or current home. He does not allow people over and hates having his items moved. Even washing his dishes could trigger him because he is, although in a small way, relinquishing control of his property and safe space. Having someone invade a space he deems safe and his takes a lot of trust and healing from his past. When he lets you cook with his pots, clean his sword, even touching him affectionately, he really adores you to allow it.

He needs space for many reasons, but don’t take it as a lack of commitment or attentiveness. On the flip side, he doesn’t mind if you have your own hobbies, interests, and friends. He actually likes that you aren’t dependent on him and can enjoy time without him being present.

Sasuke has many quiet places he’s mapped on his mind and visits them to clear his mind every once in a while. They are always somewhere he can hear the rushing water of a stream or the sounds of nature. It’s the only type of noise he welcomes and enjoys, besides your voice.

Although he’s not a people-person by a long-shot, he’s very aware of how they act. Nothing slips past his eyes, from nervous body language to the contours of a knife strapped to your ankle. He’s always steps ahead.

That being said, do not lie to him. He will know and find out, whether you’re a good or bad liar. He hates it because it makes things take longer than it should than if you told the truth. It’s okay not to give him an answer; he does it all the time.

When he was in the academy, his favorite classes had primary topics on math, structure, and hands-on training. He liked teachers that encouraged solo learning and used hands-on demonstrations instead of pictures out of books. He seemed like a rule-follower, but he wasn’t. Sasuke always had his own set of rules, being in the academy just never got in the way of them.

When he is infatuated with someone, he rather be hands-off and just study his crush by listening in on their conversations, watching them at the market, or making sure they get home safe. He juggles between wanting to approach versus letting the infatuation dissolve on its own since he sees love interests as more of a distraction. If you spot him and greet him, he gives the “I was just around” excuse. Nope, he was following you.

☰ Naruto

■ Has a very quick reaction especially if he is with you like walking side by side or even just within arms length of you. He becomes hostile in an instant and will immediately call out the person who cat called you, whether it was a comment or just a whistle at you he won’t stand for any of it, and he’ll yell/argue with the person.

■ Things could escalate or calm down from here though because if the person apologizes and backs off he’s likely to just let it go. However if the person is argumentative or keeps things going Naruto is likely to become physically aggressive towards the person.

■ Once he’s angry over the situation it’s very difficult to calm him down, so it’s unlikely you’ll be able to talk him out of fighting with the person or getting him to drop it. Unless you were to be very insistent that he let it go and you physically start pulling him away he won’t drop it.

☰ Sasuke

■ It doesn’t matter if its a comment or a whistle at you he will treat it the same, because he sees either as a sign of disrespect. He will not tolerate any such rude gesture towards you and will immediately confront the person, and is likely to become hostile and even physically aggressive quickly unless you jump in.

■ In fact he has no issues with physically hurting the person just to make a point if you don’t try to stop him, and even then it could take a bit to convince him not to do anything to the person. Or more so chances are he’ll have already hurt the person before you’ll have a chance to react.

■ He’ll be especially hostile if the person doesn’t immediately apologize or seem sorry over it. Not that he will kill anyone over it but he may give them a serious injury, a punch a kick or dislocate an arm over it, but he’ll make mostly threats as to if they ever even look at you again it’ll be much worse.
