Joel 2:12-13 God, thru Joel, gives a very simple command; yet this is one thing that we struggle with probably more than anything else: authenticity. Not just an outward show of repentance, so that others will THINK we've been grieved over our sin (sometimes I feel that if I've convinced other people then I've convinced God too), but actual repentance in our heart where God KNOWS that we have been. So my question is this: does your sin mess you up inside, or doesn't it? If it doesn't, why not? How can we get to the place where we tear our hearts over our sin? We must see the wrath of God towards our sin, as well as the mercy and grace of God towards sinners; we see that most clearly, most tangibly, at the cross. Dwell on that event. Let it tear your heart to shreds, and then let the God of all comfort bind it up and heal you.

A double stemmed, double blossom daisy! The top is so heavy that the stem broke, but I got some toothpicks and splinted it (notice the tape). Just like this flower we are beautiful, unique, and burdened; but God reaches down in love to fix what is broken, binding our wounds and healing our souls. To God be the glory!

The man in the big yellow hat chases after the light. Little does he know, it's George. Disguised as a light reflecting on a table. Silly man in the big yellow hat.

After a 3.5 hour wait in line and a cancelled flight, we were graciously given a night's stay at the Clarion hotel. It's classy!! There's only one bullet hole!!

A wall of people never found after the wreckage of 9/11. God, bring peace to the minds of family members, eroded by uncertainty and a lack of closure.

1 Corinthians 1:2 This has been blowing my mind recently. We, the catholic (that means "universal") church, are all one in Christ, and we belong to God. You and I, brothers and sisters, were called to be saints TOGETHER. My brethren, not just at Kingsfield Church in Aliso Viejo, but at CC Costa Mesa and San Juan Capistrano and WestGrove and Long Beach, MarsHill and Bethel Grace Baptist Church, the Methodist church down the road, my brothers and sisters in Compton and Watts and Malibu and Santa Monica and San Diego and Santa Ana and Dallas and Flowermound and Houston and Plano and Frisco and Austin and Rochester and New York and Long Island and Boulder and Lakewood and Greeley, Idaho and Kentucky and Ohio and Wisconsin and Maine and Oregon and Florida and Arizona and Hawaii and Louisiana and Georgia and Alabama and Washington and Rhode Island, Greenland and Finland and Switzerland and Iceland and France and Belgium and Germany and Scotland and Wales and Ireland and England and Greece and Turkey and Iran and Iraq and Afghanistan and China and Vietnam and North Korea and South Korea and Cambodia and Egypt and Malawi and Congo and Zimbabwe, both saints on earth and saints in the presence of God; we are called to be saints TOGETHER!!! With those in EVERY place who call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!!! God's elect people whom he has called out (for that is what "church" means) from this world for his glory!! What a powerful, uniting truth we have in Christ.
