One of my all time favorite images I’ve captured out in the water! The vibrant yellow rails and their scattered reflection on the waters surface is something else, and some offshore spray to top it off! I remember testing the limit on this shot - how long can I keep snapping shots before ducking under the wave to avoid being tumbled and swept into shore. It turns out that I discovered the limit, and I was tossed, tumbled, and swept in 😂 but as the energy of the wave released me and I floated back to the surface I recall thinking that I got a good shot. The fun part about water photography is that you don’t have the option to review your photos, as your camera is safely encased in a water housing. After the session I returned home and sifted through the images with hopeful expectations to find this one! So rewarding!
