See that table in the first picture? Funny thing about tempered glass- wind and hail can make it explode 😐 I’m tired of filling out job applications indoors, so I made a new tabletop this afternoon. I used a sheet of wall paneling left by the previous homeowner (thank you!), bought a dozen adhesive floor tiles (88 cents each) and a 2” hole saw (~$10), & got to work. It was tricky, cutting a square surface with rounded sides - the final product is nowhere near perfect - but it looks better than I thought it would. Certainly beats paying a couple hundred $$ for a custom-glass top, or even more on a new table! Related: I’m excited to spend my evening outside, not worrying about the job I don’t have, or bills/debt, or other peoples’ standards of productivity, etc. I made something for me today, & that’s enough reason to enjoy a celebratory drink, if only to photograph it sitting on the new tabletop. #diy #quarantine #homeprojects (at Fishers, Indiana) https://www.instagram.com/p/CAv3LzbDqRTdmVXQgvEDDHPo-we4G9RrnmOjFE0/?igshid=10rbo507vwo3s
