I think when you correctly identify a trauma that is the base of a woe of yours it should just disappear. It should be like "aaahh. you got me" and vanish and leave 100 dollars behind

The stunningly gorgeous penthouse in this 2001 building in Manchester, NH has been on and off the market since 2020. It's been for sale for over $25.414m and for rent for $6,500mo. No takers. 3bds, 4.5ba, 10,000sqft, doesn't list HOA fee. Comes with 5 parking spaces and fully furnished.
The elevator comes right up to the penthouse, no hallway, you enter directly inside.
There's the pretty elevator door closed behind you.
This conservatory area reminds me of an earthship. This is lovely, though. Of course, the plants come with it.
Look at the large marble fireplace. What a nice living room.
Beautiful shelf unit. Remember, it comes furnished.
Very large dining area next to the living room. The table seats 14, with room to spare.
Here's a sideboard with some extra chairs.
There's a matching smaller table, and then you come to the pool table.
Plus, there's a large counter with more seating. I like how it's cut out, so each person has their own space.
Very cool kitchen. Look at the unusual stove.
You can close the kitchen off if you want.
Then over here, there's a bar area w/separate cocktail tables, but that copper bar!
Isn't this stunning?
Beautiful half bath.
There's also a home theater.
The apt. is 2 levels.
Beautiful hallway to the bedrooms.
There's a hot tub with a view up here.
The primary bedroom is gigantic.
The sitting area is as big as a living room.
Look at this piece in the closet. You get this with the apt., too.
Very large bath is one of 5.
Bedroom #2. Very nice.
There are more closets along the hall.
And, bedroom #3 is also lovely.
All the baths are huge.
This is so pretty, overlooking the conservatory.

Are you currently looking forward to something?
#answer has been no for years#a little surprised but glad the rest of the world differs#honestly wild because most of the people on this site seem outwardly way more depressed than me

“average person eats 3 spiders a year” factoid actualy just statistical error. average person eats 0 spiders per year. Spiders Georg, who lives in cave & eats over 10,000 each day, is an outlier adn should not have been counted

not to panhandle for reblogs but this poll won't work unless someone reblogs it 🥺🥺🥺
#I HATE wearing clothes to bed#but the clothes I wear when I’m awake at home are basically pajama vibes

You know your drunk art post about love and personhood from 2019? Every night at bedtime my late cat would lie on my chest, and her little heartbeat would be right on top of mine, and I'd think about that piece of art you made, and have a similar sort of image in my head. Anyway, yesterday I finally put the image to paper, and idk where this is going, just that that piece of art you created means a lot to me. Have a cool day ✌️

OHHHH MY GOD!!!!! EVERYBODY SHUT THE FUCK UP AND LOOK AT THIS. ITS ALL BEEN WORTH IT

Just realized that for two and a half years I have taken care of my mom, only leaving the house two or three times per month for any significant amount of time, almost never more than six hours, and never more than 12 hours. Literally much worse isolation than the COVID era, and it's now lapped that in duration a few times over, and there is no end in sight.
#I don't know what I would do without my husband#I would never get enough rest if he didn't help sub in during my own health crashes#all the improvements in my health over the years just barely make it possible for me to take care of her#we already hire caretakers for the few days I get to leave the house#and no I don't have any siblings#her sister immediately moved to another state when she got her diagnosis just like she did when their mother was diagnosed with dementia#her brother is a drug addict I had to kick out of her house multiple times when I took care of her there and now he lives in a halfway hous#he literally called on her birthday last year and I actually answered it because I thought he wanted to talk to her#he was just coincidentally calling that day to beg for money that he always lies and spends on drugs so we hadn't taken a call in over a ye#did not say anything about her birthday#her other brother is a sociopath who gets moved from nursing home to nursing home for exposing himself to the nurses#I literally have to avoid her family because they're all like that OR a few cousins are like me having to be caretaker#the only sane cousin I ever personally knew is raising her sister's children after they got taken away for meth#then her sister started dating her (the sane cousin's) ex husband#and just in general since childhood my mom always ended up taking care of other people who could and would not return the favor

what ppl defending kids on ipads don’t seem to understand is that there are other ways to keep kids occupied. my mom had a whole bag full of little toys and games for me to play with while waiting in lines at disney world. once your kid is like 7 or 8 they can read a book. they can color. or they can literally just sit there and imagine things. i did that a lot as a kid.
#it drives me nuts when parents try to justify wrecking their kids this way#all because they can’t stand the level of frustration and inconvenience and sacrifice it takes to raise a kid#not even a century ago it would have been almost the ONLY thing you do#there are so many things to do besides have kids and I don’t get why people who don’t want the reality do it#what’s the reward in raising a kid if you’re not naturally inclined to prioritize their happiness?#what’s the reward in raising a kid who is going to get WAY WAY HARDER TO HANDLE because their brain rotted before they got to pre-k?

I DESPERATELY needed someone to tell me this as I grew up in leftist online spaces. So now I am going to tell YOU:
If you
Check what you sent over and over to make sure you didn’t say a slur instead of “hello how are you”
Fear that someone will find you thinking not-leftist-enough thoughts and will call you out and ruin you
Feel you have to make your intentions clear and over-explain your actions
Find yourself consistently resisting the urge to engage in reassurance-seeking WRT being a good enough ally to marginalized people
Stay up late endlessly debating political ethics in your head
Have a set of actions that you take after discovering you made a morally wrong decision so that you can atone, which you rely on for reassurance that you are not a bad person
Would rather not make a decision at all than make a decision that is the lesser of two evils, but is not morally pure
then I am gently, but firmly, requesting that you look into moral scrupulosity OCD.
#leftist online spaces ruined civil rights movements#the internet let people with severe psychological struggles get super aggressive with the entire world#over bizarre petty unproductive stuff#like 90% of it devolved into college educated basketcases seeking validation and community#so no one gets taken seriously even about serious issues thanks to association with years of clownery#I’m automatically on edge when I hear leftist jargon#because the sheer volume of insane people has completely overwhelmed my years I worked in politics and my chill friends#bloodthirsty hairtrigger people get enabled into painting their emotional dysregulation as righteousness#life-ruining stuff for everyone involved#it used to be you could sell people on a positive vision but it’s all negative now
