Nav is a Motion Designer, Animator, and Director who is passionate about creating new perspectives in broadcast motion design and the visual effect is driven productions. Nav has 10+ years of experience in various facets of motion design and animation inclusive of digital broadcast design, traditional graphic design, brand identity, and interactive service/ product/ platform designs. 

Nav has worked on and led numerous global projects over the past decade for a wide array of renowned and forward thinking media outlets such as Turkish Airline, CBS-USA, 2000 Strong Studio-NY, Al Jazeera, Clay.tv, Caustik Studio Lebanon, Angel sign Studio Italy, Fallujah TV, Kurdistan 24, Al-Nabaa TV, Dream Box - Istanbul, In2Pixel INC. National Radio TV (NRT), Shamona TV Syria, TV Libya, Okaliptus Media A.S -Istanbul, Web Media7-Germany and many more...Nav has always believed in pushing the boundaries of contemporary motion graphics & direction to the limits of his creative imagination such a way that his work has always managed to strike a brain nerve in his audience.

“There is so much beauty in our world, and I want my children to be a part of it and grow with it,” says Shelley Lawnikanis (@shelleylawnikanis), who lives in a small northern town in Australia’s New South Wales. A stay-at-home mom of two children, four-year-old Evie and two-year-old Orlo, Shelley is often reminded by her kids to slow down and enjoy the simple things that life has to offer.

“I love to photograph my children outdoors in their natural element, and I mostly do so without their knowing,” says Shelley, who shares her tricks to documenting candid moments of her shy, yet energetic kids. “I often snap a whole bunch of photos while they’re playing and exploring, and I go through them afterwards to choose the ones that I may want to post.” Shelley says that she usually finds herself chasing after one or both of them with her phone camera, always trying to get the right balance of framing, color and texture in a single shot.

Despite the joy she feels from capturing the precious moments of her little ones, Shelley also believes in having a “no photo day” once in a while to purely enjoy her time discovering the world with Evie and Orlo. “I honestly can’t think of a better place to raise my children than where we are,” she admits. “Raising our family with a love and appreciation for the ocean is so important to us, and we are so blessed to be able to live on this beautiful coast. I couldn’t tell you the amount of times I’ve had comments on my photos from people saying that we live in paradise — and we really do.”

Direction.Motion.Design : Nav

 Aljazeera Network trusted in my skills and allowed me to design their weekly programme that examines and dissects the world's media - putting the media under a microscope.  

Almarssad Al-Jazeera's weekly media watch program. The show casts a critical eye over global media and dissects the media's coverage of events and non-events! From what's being printed by mainstream newspapers to what's being published at the click of a button online, the Almarssad tracks media old and new and gives you a new and valuable perspective of what the media are reporting, what they are leaving out and what media consumers really need to know.

 I was assigned to design its opening title including other branding elements

This is a pitch for the redesign of CBS affiliate news packages. These are the local news packages, i.e. the local New York news at 5pm and 6pm that precedes the national news broadcast. New York is the primary market for this package, although the overall graphics package will be used by other cities as well.
