I go to school board & city council meetings regarding trans rights, and something I noticed is that almost every single transfem student who has gone up to defend their right to use the women's lockers & bathrooms has reported being sexually assaulted in school, often multiple times, by cis men & boys.

And yet, what is taken more seriously is the single cisgender girl who went up to speak about her discomfort with trans girls in the lockers & bathrooms. Not danger. Not harm. Not trauma. Discomfort.

The cisgender girl spoke about how she was not comfortable, wheras the transgender girls spoke of how they were not safe. I am somehow supposed to believe these are of equal severity? Eat a fucking brick.

i'm on record for hating incorrect quotes posts but the "if x character had whatsapp 😂" format is like my guilty pleasure in that regard. it's cause it's not just copying pre-written pre-laminated quotes that aren't even funny, like there has to be a level of contribution from the poster that requires a deeper understanding of not just one character but multiple and also the dynamics they have with other characters, even if there are still example passages you can draw from ("fucking KILL YOURSELF", "i NEED cock", etc). it's also just really funny to me that it's whatsapp, for some reason

as a person who uses either public bathroom on a toss of a coin i gottta say its kind of ridicuous that people are so attached to them being seperate facilities. youre not usually gonna see anyones dick at the urinal and youre not usually gonna be able to spy on any women. the stalls are the same except one has a little tampon bin. we would lose nothing if all bathrooms were unisex and i'll die on that hill.

And I just fundamentally don't believe that no one would ever want to do anything productive if not forced under the threat of homelessness and starvation. I believe that if physically and mentally able, most people would want to do things to help out their loved ones and support their community. I don't believe "laying in bed all day" is so fulfilling to the average person that that's all anyone would ever be doing if we didn't force a 40 hour work week on people under the threat of not having your basic needs met. I think most people have an inherent drive to learn and create and contribute and connect and help each other out. I see it everywhere, even in this hell world.

My family has absolutely zero spice tolerance whereas my spice tolerance is Kind Of High For A German Guy but I’m also friends with a lot of Indians and Latinos so this leads to me not being a good judge of spiciness level for anyone because at the level it hurts my family I can’t even taste it but I tell my friends something is too spicy and they can’t even taste it so anyways life is a beautiful mystery and I have no concept of how anyone else experiences the mysterious but beautiful chili pepper.
