The part of fleabag that hurt for me in particular is the notion that Boo was the only one to truly see Fleabag. Fleabag's mom died, Fleabag's dad chose stepmom over her, Fleabag's sister chooses unhappiness again and again and again. And Fleabag is so angry and jaded and sad and Boo is the only one who sees that and says "yeah, I get it, let me listen, and I love you more for it."

And I think being socialized feminine, the concept of unconditional love is shoved down your throat again and again and again that you can really grow to resent that you have no one in your life worthy of it, and for Fleabag she had all this tenderness built up, and Boo to shower it on.

So like, losing Boo and it being Fleabag's fault, like Fleabag loses Boo, but also loses her own outlet for love, her one place of acceptance, and the one person who loved her without conditions attached.
