that article broke me man…

it especially sucks because pete already went through the worst thing to ever happen to him; the death of his dad. now he had to deal with an abusive grandfather..

him even saying that he’s happy about him dying just goes to show how terrible it must have been. it really makes me think just how much hurt he’s been through.

trauma is no joke. and neither is the aftermath of it. right after his dad died, he started pulling his hair out and tried to end it at age 9 by drowning. now i’m thinking if the abuse contributed to those things.

even as an adult he’s had a history of not wanting to live. but recognized that he has a mom and sister that care about him. that’s why he never had the guts to actually do it.

“family is everything” until they see you less as part of their blood and more as a target for blood. he has every right to hate his grandfather for everything he did. abuse, no matter the type, impacts a person greatly.

that genuinely must have been hard since that was the most public he’s ever been about the abuse; considering this is our first time hearing about it.

even if it was at a stand up show in my state of all places, i’m proud of him for opening up. and he 1000% didn’t have to if he didn’t want to.

all i ask of pete is for him to stay here and know that there are people all over the world that care about him and are rooting for him. i’m one of them.
