"Burn, sunlight, electrocution. Got it." Those were precious information, so much that Neftin saved everything Morgana had told him into a memory unit fixed to his brain, so that he wouldn't forget one word that she had said. Hopefully, when the PDF would start chasing the parasites, the operations wouldn't turn into every horror movie ever thanks to those those advice.
“And where do we find them?“ he asked, followed by another, sudden question: “And why would you tell me all this by the way? You don’t look like the kind of person who really cares about public safety.“

Ah some good questions, how nice.Perhaps it wasn’t such a bad idea to invite Neftin over to her little home - even when she nearly forgot about it. She really had to come up with a way to remember things better. “Because there are better chances that they will listen to you, someone who’s in the PDF, than me. You can tell them about the creatures so they’ll be aware of them. And the dangers that comes with them, which aren’t to be taken kindly.“ The PDF never really listened to her before so why would she bother to try and talk with them now. There was a high chance she would just be ignored again.
That was a fair enough answer. It also debunked his suspicions, although he did not trust Morgana - he could feel bad mojo emanating from her. “All right.” Neftin nodded before getting to serious business: “So tell me, what exactly are those creatures? And how do you know they escaped?“ He was not going to go back to the PDF without precise information about whatever threatened the galaxy.

Starter Call!
Seems like the perfect moment for one! Don’t mind reblogging if you have a sideblog ; and if you have a multimuse blog, then precise me which Muse you’d like Neftin to interact with through tags, IMs or comments!
It’s really late for interactions in my timezone, so don’t expect to get your starter right away ; but I will make sure to work on it when I find the time!

Neftin didn’t try not to breath in and roll his eye while Morgana paused for a long, coarse laugh. He had started tapping impatiently on the table, which was shaking loudly under the touch of his large finger, when she finally regained composure.
His organic eye round up when Morgana presented him the fearsome, metal tooth. Its point was so terrifyingly sharp, more acute than any blade he had seen ; he didn’t know any Nether with teeth as dreadful, except for the Nether leader.
Neftin frowned and asked: “Have those things already made victims? How do we stop them?” He hoped no innocent had been unfortunate enough to encounter one of those parasites - if one of Morgana’s goons did, though, it wouldn’t be much of a loss.

“That’s me.” Tanya responded, wiping some sweat off her brow, why did most of her jobs end up in terrible conditions like this? Then again she couldn’t exactly complain, not with how many bolts she was taking in a day anyway. The cervet hopped off one of the giant crates she’d been sitting on, but still kept a hand on it.
“Yeah we’ve got it, you got the payment? I assume the Markazian you talked to informed you about the price beforehand.” If not they were going to have a little talk later. She and her service bot weren’t exactly thrilled at the idea of having to haggle with one of the infamous Prog twins. That was a situation where they might end up dead, after all Neftin’s unstable temper wasn’t exactly a secret in this galaxy.
Neftin though he could break the girl's spine, crush her bot with one hand and leave with the furium and the bolts as well, but gratuitous violence wasn't his thing. Moreover, if he started abusing his suppliers, he would get a nasty reputation among smugglers and getting resources like Furium would get harder - and he really didn't feel the need to be scolded by Vendra.
He showed the smuggler the sack full of golden bolts (which meant ten thousand bolts in one place) as a reply, then put it away. "And I assume you have heard that I am a rather exigeant costumer. Is it really pure Furium?, the kind that takes one quarter of a space cruiser with one kilogram? I’m not leaving this planet with some wrapped junk.”

“Uhh…” Cronk and Zephyr really didn’t know how to feel about this. Mostly because they weren’t sure how they felt about Neftin. Yeah sure, he gave Vendra the detonator, but he had protested his sister’s desire to kill them. The two were sorta split about it. While Zephyr did blame the prog sibling for their deaths, Cronk had more reservations about it.
“We could try askin’ the prog boy..” Cronk spoke up finally, looking to Zephyr. He knew he’d get a whole lot of protesting when it came to that, but he had to at least try.
The other machine looked at Cronk, then Neftin, then back at his companion. Contemplating whether they should take the risk and ask one of their murderers for help. “No, we can find the graveyard just fine without him!” With a huff Zephyr turned his back to the nether and folded his arms.
“Fine! Be a big baby, but I’m gonna ask!” The other warbot waived him off with frustration then walked over to the hulking twin. At first he just stood there, trying to find the words. But finally he was able to speak. “Do ya happen t’ know where the robot graveyard is?”
Considering his (very brief) history with the two warbots, Neftin was rather surprised to hear the blue one suggesting to even talk to him, if it wasn’t, once again, his imagination. He also couldn't blame the orange one on disagreeing.
He was just as awkward as the blue bot when he stood before him for a moment. He was almost tempted to touch him to see what it would do, but he feared he might get offended.
"I... do think I saw one on the way." he replied, pointing at the street behind him. "Uh... I'll retrace my steps and you follow me, just to make sure." And he turned back. Helping two ghosts find their way in town was all but how he had planned his afternoon in Meridian City...

Neftin was tempted to tell her to mind her own business, but the woman quickly realized her intrusiveness. This Larnia was strangely at ease around a former convict, which was beyond confirmed by one of her statements: "Interesting? Are you a fan of criminals or something?" Unless she was one of those nerds who collected Galactic vilains collection cards as a hobby, it sounded weird, maybe even suspicious.

❝ Never thought I’d meet one of the infamous Prog twins. I’m surprise they released you so early? Was it just you or your sister got released as well? ❞ Lania took paused to realized she was probing for information when they barely just meant! ❝ Oh, dear Zoni, where are my matters? I haven’t even introduced myself yet and here I am, asking such personal questions. I just always found you two interesting, that’s all. The name’s Lania by the way? ❞

I just realized Bane would be the perfect Halloween costume for Nef. I mean you can take any Bane and he would simply rock.

Okay, except for this one. A crossover between Rac and BaR is the last thing the world needs.

“Uhuh, he thinks he’s people.” Neftin was chuckling while watching some videos of kittens on his holo-computer, when he heard a airlock opening and a woman talking. He closed the window in a hurry and pretended to be putting the applications on his destkop in order.
"Uh... yes?" he asked, looking up to see his visitor, a slender woman whom he didn't recall having met before.
Her reaction upon seeing him was... unexpected, to say the least: she wasn’t terrified by seeing one of the Prog twins, just surprised by how large he was, like she didn't know who he was. He thought she was most likely to be from another galaxy, considering she didn't seem to know him and his reputation. He always expected whoever had not met in the PDF yet to be more scared or mistrustful than awkwardly impressed, but he wasn't sure whether he preferred Elaris’ reaction or not. She sure was nice, but she already spoke too much to his taste and this could potentially get annoying.
“Got it...” he simply replied. “So if there is nothing else, I’ll just get back to work...“

Elaris only recently heard that the Defense Force got a new recruit. Honestly, she was surprised to hear that another convict was being bought aboard. Yet again, Nefarious was once a feared super villain who was dragged into using his talents for good, and so far seems to be mostly working well for him.
That and she’d be lying if she wasn’t fond the idea. I mean, everyone deserves a second chance sometimes. Many wish to turn a new leaf and even more never get that opportunity. It’s a risk, but an awarding one if it turns out right.
She traveled down the halls to meet him. Elaris always made sure to get acquainted with everyone in the office. Makes it easier to work with people and knowing each others name (even more so if you’re horrible of keeping track of them as she is). Finally, she entered the room the recruit was stationed. With a smile, she greeted him with:
“Oh, hey. You must be the new recruit the Defense Force snatched up and-”
Elaris was taken off guard after realizing the brute hovering over her. “You’re, um… you’re very big,” Followed with a nervous chuckle. “Dare I say I almost feel intimated here…” She took realization that her rambling could come across as offensive and swiftly added:
“Oh wait, no, I-I didn’t mean it like that! I’m sure you’re a nice guy but I didn’t expect- Shit, I’m sorry, I was just…taken by surprise that’s all.” She turned to her side and cleared her throat before continuing. “Anyways, welcome to the PDF. I’m Elaris. I work in commutations and support. If you have any questions or anything, I’d gladly be of assistance.”

Neftin sat back and listened as Morgana explained him her origins. Upon her saying the word setbacks, he followed her eyes and looked down to see her blue reptilian limbs. Regardless o how that occurred (and he wasn’t sure he wanted to know the details), it was a good thing this hadn't happen to him and Vendra ; this would have made those years at the orphanage more invivable than they were already.
He was about to ask her about her relation with the Nether leader, if she had any, when she started talking the reason why she had brought him here, which instantly grabbed his attention. His question could wait for now.
That thing she was talking about sounded like bad business. Whatever came from the Netherverse couldn't be good in any way - and he hoped it was in no way comparable to the Nether Leader in size or in dangerousness. "All right, but where are you getting at? Why are you talking to me instead of the Polaris Defense Force?" Did she have another thing in mind than to stop it? He was most likely to have to pass a call to the PDF once he would have left the nightclub if either the thing from the Netherverse or Morgana were endangering the galaxy’s safety.

morganasirennether:
Morgana chuckled, blowing out some cold air when she saw how Neftin looked at her after he turned around to face her. Not what she expected but he stopped talking at least. “What, cat got your tongue all of the sudden? Have you never seen a Siren Nether before?” Of course she already knew the answer for that but, it didn’t hurt to be a little sassy sometimes. Even when she stood before someone who was far bigger than her in size.
“And please don’t break anything in here, valuable or not. It’s hard to replace any of these things because of how old they are.” Also, she would be extremely pissed off, angry even, if the hulking Nether broke anything, even the tinniest of item, in her precious nightclub. It was by far the easiest way to get on the Siren Nether’s bad side.
“Siren Nether?” He had never seen or heard of this kind, until now. Not even once the Nether leader had mentioned them to Neftin and Vendra. So many questions stormed through his head, he could barely keep up:
“What - what exactly are you?, and what do you want from me? It has to do with us both being Nethers, right?… And how did you get in this dimension? All Nethers have been sent back to the Netherverse!” He still didn’t know why Morana had invited him, but at least he had a reason to stay now.
#so I decided this thread was set in the Redeemed!Verse#you decide whether Morgana know Nef is in the PDF or not!#[ic]#[Redeemed!Verse]#morganasirennether
