I was thinking about something.

Talking to a friend of mine we reflected on the fact that the Starks were one if not THE most loved family on GOT. So why instead of sending Jace to Dragonstone to do nothing (yes, he won the alliance with the Freys and suggested the idea of ​​the Dragons Seeds) didn't they leave him at Winterfell to do fanservice? It literally would have been that easy. He had a decent arc (and they developed the friendship with Cregan that leads to him doing all the things he does in the future) and we actually got to enjoy Jace (and Cregan) doing things.

The second season has been a fanfiction anyway. Instead of giving us scenes with Rhaenyra and Alicent together randomly (always happy to see Emma and Olivia together BUT not like this) they could actually develop a character.

Another thing I was wondering is: why show us a moment in which Alicent appears to be in mourning (she was in mourning a lot - but also rightly so, I'm not saying she couldn't be) and I'm referring to the lake scene and not perhaps show off Helaena in it grieving... you know, the mother of the child who was murdered? Or Aegon? Aegon who together with Rhaenyra is the protagonist of the Dance of the Dragons?

The more months that pass, the more argumentative I become. Sorry haha.

Totally random thought but I have to share it. Ok, I refer to the different opinions on "Which team would Maegor choose?".

Okay, taking away the fact that we all agree that Maegor wouldn't choose any team and would take the throne for himself, I think he would be strategic in doing so.

Let's hypothetically say that Maegor would actually find himself participating in the Dance of the Dragons, I believe that initially it would be team black. Maegor HATES the Hightowers and definitely wouldn't want a half-Targaryen half-Hightower on the throne so he would join Rhaenyra and get rid of (along with Balerion) all the greens (except Helaena but that's also a debatable thing I'll save for later).

At this point he would find a way to get rid of Daemon and probably kill Jace and Luke (Joff based on age) and all the men who could be a threat to the throne.

I don't think he would kill Aegon and Viserys, Maegor is no fool and the children are small and manipulable.

Then he would keep Rhaenyra, Baela and Rhaena for himself and take them as wives (just like he did in the past) threaten Rhaenyra with the lives of her children and take the throne.

I'm not sure if he would keep Helaena as his wife. Helaena is half Hightower but (in the series) she is a dreamer so she could be useful to him in some way.

However, we know that Maegor would not be able to have children and Aegon would still become king.

And we haven't seen Cregan Stark! Who is the spy who doesn't even know how to spy properly?? Larys Strong would be very disappointed

And in the end we waited an entire season to see Rhaena with a dragon (no Morning, sadness) and nothing. Still nothing. Why?? But I want to see her conquer Sheepstealer. I need it. In any case Sheepstealer looks very nice, I would call it "sharp" although maybe it's a little small? In the book I imagined him bigger

I guess we won't have the Pact of Ice and Fire in the end. So the great friendship between Jace and Cregan was summed up in five minutes... I want to believe that there will be something in the third season but I have many doubts. I'm going to fight alongside Jace.

Little thing I noticed but no one seems to talk about.

Many people say that Ulf easily gained Silverwing's trust (yes, she is a very friendly dragon) but in reality we are shown him stepping on and then tripping over the nest with Silverwing's eggs and then falling into a dark puddle from which then it comes out dirty, I don't want to say disgusting things but, could it be that that puddle was Silverwing's "bath"? So Ulf would have its smell on him, first due to her nest and eggs and then to her body fluids. When Silvwerwing pushes him to the ground then she smells him and I think that by smelling him he identified him as a dragon or as part of his own brood.

Little theory but it seemed interesting to me.

Can we talk about the fact that some people don't understand why Jace is angry about Rhaenyra's choice to pick up people off the streets to be dragon riders? Because the reason is obvious! Jace knows he's a bastard. Everyone knows he's a bastard. The only thing that made his claim as heir legitimate was being a knight of a dragon. However, now that ordinary people become dragon knights this claim disappears. Jace (and Joffrey) no longer has that special something. That something that sets him apart and makes him Targaryen. His concerns are legitimate because if Rhaenyra actually wins, no one guarantees that Jace will be accepted as heir. Rhaenyra acknowledges his concerns but rightly must do what will provide her safety and attacking strength at the moment. People need to understand that if Jace shows different opinions that dosesn't mean that he doesn't support Rhaenyra.

He SUPPORTS Rhaenyra but is scared.

He is scared that someone (but especially the Lords) might oppose him as they did with his mother. And it's a valid concern. We were complaining that the showrunners weren't giving Jace enough depth... well, now he has it and that's about right.

This season Jace needs a hug. Preferably from Baela or Cregan. GIVE ME SOMETHING. PLEASE!

Jace is stressing so hard that his hair will turn white... and that's not necessarily a problem.

Ok, maybe I'm just delulu and I want to imagine there will be another scene with Jace and Cregan so, here's my theory stemming from something Harry said.

In an interview Harry was asked what it was like filming the scenes with Tom and he said something like this: "Great, we shot a scene, cool, but we didn't have much time to bond so then we went to holiday together and then we went back and shot the other scene (this three weeks later).

So, my theory is: Cregan (Tom) spent the first 10 minutes of the first episode reminding the audience that there is something dangerous beyond the Wall and he confides this to Jace. So Jace knows. Rhaenyra will probably at some point confide Aegon's Prephecy to Jace as Jace is now her heir. I think Jace will put two and two together and realize that Aegon's Prophecy and what's behind the Wall are two related things, go back to the North and make the Pact of Ice and Fire with Cregan.

This. Maybe I'm just disappointed but I want to believe that they didn't ruin the splendid relationship between these two, be it friendship or romantic.
