      at this point he doesn´t care, with the hunger gnawing on his bones and eating him alive - he´s been hungry for days and there´s nothing he can do out here in this god forsaken land filled with emptiness and horrors from feverish dreams that he can´t seem to wake up from. pride and suspicion tells him to leave the stranger behind, to get by on his own - to not be indebted to anyone (DONT LET ANYONE PITY YOU // DONT LET ANYONE LOOK DOWN AT YOU) - but pride means nothing when you´re dead. he´ll deal with the consequences later when the strength returns to his traitorous bones.

      so dio takes up the slab of meat and digs in without hesitation, barely containing the urge to vomit at the bitter taste spreading all across his mouth, causing a shiver to go down his spine. he swallows it down with a curse and water from the others flask and keeps eating, the relief of food filling his stomach instantaneous - no matter how disgusting and vile.
