Study tips? How to stay motivated and get more disciplined? Pls help help. My finals coming and I'm having a really hard time.

Honestly, you really don’t need to study and go through all that stress as long as you’re okay with always being the one left behind and growing up to be financially dependent on those around you because when you were supposed to be building your future, you were too busy throwing around half ass excuses and wallowing in your self pity. Really go ahead. Go ahead and become an employee to those that undermined you . To those who never bothered to think high of you. Prove them right .

Some other tips:

-don’t rely on motivation. We don’t feed our pets simply because we are in the mood to.

-ROMANTICIZE. I cannot stress this enough. You are an academic student in a boarding school tainted with mystery and secrets. Everything smells of wood and old books. You relish in intellectual debate and being around like minded folk. People are in awe of your intellect ( the more delusional the better)

-Get a drink. I prefer tea but you do you . make it a habit to always get yourself that drink when studying. Create rituals

-classic music. Really immerse yourself in the picture. Block everything around you and direct your energy to your work

-candles

-i recommend studying in the morning. Sleeping 6/8 hours is crucial for memory, mood , focus and metabolism.

-sit on the floor ( if it’s carpeted) this way you have everything you need within reach. Gives you a change of scenery. Try different places until you find the right one

-keep your phone in another room. Better yet, give your phone to someone. Sometimes you need to be harsh. Social media is a distraction

-remember why you’re studying in the first place.

-if you’re friends aren’t helping you with studies/don’t care about studies as much avoid communication during this period of time. You need people bringing you up not dragging you down

-blurting, active recall, Feynman technique , spaced repetition are my favourite study methods
