You’re gonna see something very amusing. And I’m trying to do a thing where I’m making Alec more like Magnus. Because he’s living around him, right? And those affectations rub off on people. And I’m trying to do something and I found myself playing with it and I wonder if it’s gonna land. I hope people find it amusing. But Alec is a little more fancy. He gets a little more fancy. And he’s a little more catty. He’s taking on Magnus’ traits.

In the first five episodes a lot of characters are separated into their own sections. Alec largely is just hanging out with Magnus. Clary is largely just with Jace and Izzy. Not a lot of time on other characters. And Simon’s largely with Maia. It’s very separated. Very much so. It’s interesting and we’ll see how that changes over the course of the season but so far that’s how it is.
