since ya'll liked him so much, there's his lore.

What if there was a real driver inside Rev?

-Name: Philip Reeves (Phil) Since most of the initials of the guys' names that kind of match their main colors (ex: Rhett=Red, Brandon=Blue), I did the same with him (Philip= Purple). His surname is a reference to Rev.

(although is quoted on the previous post that purple was both Phil and Wheelie's main color, his is actually a stronger purple violet.)

-Age: 21-23 Larry mentioned that the alleged "thief" of Rev was his disciple. Which meant(in my theory) that he was on the workshop before the others started working there. So, assuming the boys are 15-17, he's a few years older.

-Why did he stole Rev? I'm still thinking of how to work this backstory through, but let's say Philip and Larry had a disagreement, in which Philip thought Larry was selfish for hiding advanced technology for so long, which led him to steal Rev and modify the whole city.

-What happened to him at the end of the movie? The team defeated him with the ✨power of friendship✨ Jokes aside, Larry convinced Philip that his technology could be presented to the population through Team Hot Wheels, and offered him to come back to the workshop as his righthand man. And yeah, he accepted.

-Personality Phil is a mix of both Brandon and Rhett's personalities (red + blue, yk. Erm, color theory ☝️🤓), with of course, a bit of drama and Larry's craziness that we all love. He's not as smart as Brandon, though he's way more crafty and practical.

Say hi to my "humanized version" of Rev, Philip Reeves. Thought that their interaction would be quite interesting, plus drawing Wheelie (@team-hot-wheels-imaginators oc) was quite fun!

THW in a nutshell.

"Wait a minute, so you're saying that you controlled a car powered by a cloud engine that allows the pilot to create anything you can imagine, modifying an entire city, probably causing the death of some people, creating chaos and panic, just so that you could later bring us together to form a team of heroes to protect the city from possible threats to YOUR technology?"

"Yeah."

"..."

"Oh, okay."

Things I'd want in a Team Hot Wheels series.

They had so much potential to have a TV show tbh, but since there's none, here's what I would add:

- topics like maturing and trauma. Having the responsibility of protecting the city at such a young age (which I especulate for them to be 14-16) must be and is overwhelming. It's not always fun and games.

- angst. Pretty much the same reason as the first one.

- mild violence, visible injuries, BLOOD. They can literally get hurt while driving on these tracks. "Oh but they're experienced", no they're not, and even if they were, things could go wrong at any moment.

- character backstory. I know that most of the hot wheels movies/ shows are more focused on the thrill and action (which I love), but I'd really like if we knew more about the main characters.

- keep the animation style and aesthetic. Don't get me wrong, I like the 3d style of the previous movies like Acceleracers and Battle Force 5, but the 2d style of THW was what really caught my eye. I don't mind any style improvement, just keep it 2d.
