I think what fascinates me about Ciel and Sieglinde's relationship, is that it's about this boy who's ironically encouraged this girl to live, because even when this girl experience her first taste of the cruelty of the outside world, she still has hope within and longs for that world that she was denied of, unlike him who's lived through its horrors and has given up on life.

While finny was learning how to talk, ciel decided to teach him a few essential words. Sebastian would have to try to undo it, but ciel still, let's finny express himself freely.

I also found it interesting that meyrin and bard have to be addressed formally and talk properly. And Sebastian pushes that to everyone. No nicknames like bard wanting to be called baldo.

BUT Sebastian hardly calls him finnian, its always just finny. Disclaimer i am pretty dumb, so maybe I'm misreading, but it's like when it comes to finny it's like, 'ah baby boy.'

I thought it was really cute when Sullivan asked for permission to touch Ciel in this episode. Yana has a habit of using female characters to harass Ciel. The anime may have made that moment between the two of them more comical, but it doesn't take away the weight that that scene had, especially for a victim of AS like Ciel. But in any case, now that she knows about the horrors he went through in the sect, it was at least adorable to see her being more polite and respecting his space.
