Might be a WIP but i like how sketchy and cute this is. I figured I haven’t drawn Zephyr and Nuffink enough really so…

I also looked it up and Vikings bathed pretty frequently compared to other european cultures in the past.

Do you guys ever think about how Hiccup went from hardcore crushing on Astrid to the two of them actually falling in love, and then to them ending up married with two beautiful kids because I do and it makes me very emotional

Set during Race to the Edge, before Astrid and Hiccup get together. 

“So, Hiccup.”

Hiccup watched as Snotlout sat down in front of him on the opposite of the table, smiling michievously. “So, Snotlout?”

“How was it?” Snotlout asked, his grin spreading across his face.

He frowned. “How was what?”

“You know,” Snotlout suggestively said, wiggling his eyebrows. What the Hel?

“No, as a matter of fact, I do not know,” he remarked. “What are you on about?” He didn’t know just getting breakfast would be so difficult. And he sorely needed some energy. 

“You know…” Snotlout continued in a similar tone. “You… Astrid…”

“Yes?” He pulled up an eyebrow. 

“You were in her hut for a long time last night,” Snotlout winked. 

“Because she had a fever.” The cold had hit all of them in the past few weeks, and last night it’d been Astrid’s turn. He’d stayed with her until she’d finally fallen asleep before getting a few hours of shut-eye himself. 

“Uh-huh, uh-huh,” Snotlout nodded. “I’m sure she was totally hot.”

“Snotlout I swear to Thor -”

“How was she?”

He rolled his eyes. “Sick! She was sick!”

“Absolutely sick at making love, I bet!” 

The combination of his wink and the smirk on Snotlout’s face made him grind his teeth in frustration. “I. Did not. Sleep. With her.”

“But you would have liked to,” Snotlout mischievously pointed out. 

“Of course I would have liked to!” he exclaimed, getting up from his seat as his irritation reached its height. Waving his arms around, he added: “I’ve been in love with her since forever!”

He had expected another snappy remark from Snotlout in response, but the teen in question just looked over Hiccup’s shoulder, frozen, as if a ghost had suddenly appeared in the room. Wondering what other nuisance had made its way into his morning - the twins, he guessed - Hiccup turned around. And saw none other than Astrid standing in the doorway. 

“Astrid,” he uttered, the blood instantly rushing to his cheeks. “You’re feeling better?”

She shot him a sly smile before nodding. “Much better.”

A month ago I watched “How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World” and gettin’ out of the cinema I started this.

It’s the doujin with more details that I’ve ever draw in my life! And at the same time, it doesn’t because I just watched this one time and I didn’t remember well the details of the clothes. Of course, now you can see the scene here, even in YouTube but my heart it’s still fragile and I still can’t with the tears :’D

“Astrid,” Fishlegs looks up from his blueprint, hands folded together like a guidance counselor determined to guide.

“No damage, I checked them all over, which no one has done in a while apparently, because the eighteen ninety-two edition was mixed with the ninety-five edition to spell some very interesting words.” She slings her coat over her arm and steps towards the door. “So tomorrow, I’m closing, right? That’s what I thought, goodnight!”

“You know, you don’t need to pretend to be interested in Grimborn-ology to impress some guy.”

@e–wills you hit it on the nose. And the movie handled it nicely and pretty clearly. Astrid was ready for marriage, wanted it even, but she knew Hiccup was not ready.

Reminds me how excited she was when Hiccup made Toothless that new tail again..

So, a couple people asked me a while back if I had any How To Train Your Dragon fic recs and, at the time, I had maybe one or two on my list, but now I have SEVERAL and they are all brilliant and wonderful, and you should go read them immediately. 

Wild Hearts by CurosityRedux: She finds him in the woods with an injured Night Fury. Feral and mysterious, the boy named Hiccup claims to be able to end the war that’s raged between dragons and Vikings for centuries. Berk’s been ravaged for years. She has no choice but to believe him. But that doesn’t mean she has to trust him. Or fall for him. Hiccup/Astrid.

Simple Gifts by Ecoutez: Two years after HTTYD 1 (but 3 years before HTTYD 2, because math) Hiccup and Astrid are noticing each other on a more intimate level, and begin leaving gifts for one another in secret.

Seidr and Gold by mungoe: He’d thought his last voyage would end in Odin’s hall, but the Lady of Fólkvangr has other plans, and Stoick’s seat at the Allfather’s table will have to be saved for another day. For Hiccup, family members coming back from the dead is becoming something of a habit.

And mortifying. Mainly mortifying. [A very loving, excessive dip into Astrid’s psyche and the development of Hiccstrid. Post-Defenders through to HTTYD2 and beyond, it’s going to be a long one.]

Learning to Fly by NRGburst: Inspired by the HTTYD2 clips, Hiccstrid set between Defenders of Berk and HTTYD2. Because they got that comfortable touching each other somehow.

Seize My Heart by oh_you_pretty_things: He was so persistent and his tenacity annoyed her. He was so clever and his innovation annoyed her. He wore his emotions on his face so openly and that annoyed her. But what annoyed her more than anything was how much she noticed him. A series of short vignettes about Astrid and Hiccup. HTTYD2 spoilers.
