Netgear router login is quite a crucial process for performing the Netgear router setup. Users are required to go through this initial set up so that a reliable and high-speed network can be set up. There are several changes that can be done on the router by accessing it first either through routerlogin.net or through the default IP 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1.

For firmware update, click the Advanced section and then click the Router update>update tab and you will be guided throughout the firmware upgrade process (in automatic mode). Click “yes download and install the update” button when asked and carry on with the on-screen instructions.

Then select the reboot now tab to make all the changes effective on the router.

The Netgear router needs to be reset only in some cases like when the user has forgotten the login password of the router, or if the router is not working properly etc. Now the Netgear router reset can be done through one of the two available options i.e. reset through the reset button and reset through the web user interface of the router.

This is the most convenient and fastest method of getting your Netgear router reset to its original factory settings. The reset button is given deep inside a pinhole of the router.

Just keep the power supply on of the router and push the factory reset button with the help of a pinpointed object like a paper pin or a clip.

Push and hold the reset button for at least 10 seconds until the router gets a reboot indicating the completion of the reset.

Important- It is very important to note here that if you have reset your router, then all the settings written in the router memory will be erased and the user will have to configure the networking device all again for it to be usable.
