Willow slid his phone back into his pocket as he saw Tobi approach and waved at him until he was close enough to be heard. “That’s me!” Immediately, he moved to take some of the dishes from the man’s hands when he saw how much he was carrying.
“That’s awesome, man. Thank you! I was thinking this can’t all be for me even if I’m a big guy.” He chuckled, considering himself nothing more than a giant teddy bear due to his tall stature.
“I know the staff and patients will appreciate it. The cafeteria guys know their food isn’t the best so they don’t care about outside food being brought in.” In the short time he had been awake, Willow had learned a lot about the hospital and people inside. Apparently, being a coma patient that people often vented to on late nights helped them warm up to him much faster once he was awake.

Tobi was running behind schedule, which wasn’t entirely out of the ordinary for him. He had a reputation for being willing to help and there were very few instances of him getting from point A to point B without being stopped by someone who wanted or needed something. Kingstown had no lack of need, which was perfect for someone working to cultivate a loyal following.
“Hey!” He called as he turned the corner and saw a figure waiting in front of the defunct station. “Willow, right? Sorry I’m late, it was like herding cats trying to get the kids to clean up before we could leave.” His arms were suspiciously full, covered dishes stacked on top of each other. “I brought extra leftovers for the hospital, figured I could walk them over with you if you’re headed back that way.”

( noah centineo, 22, trans man, he/him ) WILLOW MCCALL wound up in Kingstown AFTER CRASHING THEIR CAR IN TOWN, and have been here for TWO MONTHS. They are PERSONABLE and HONEST, and can often be found WRITING IN HIS JOURNAL.
" 𝔜𝔬𝔲 𝔞𝔯𝔢 𝔡𝔬𝔬𝔪𝔢𝔡 𝔱𝔬 𝔩𝔬𝔳𝔢 𝔱𝔥𝔢 𝔲𝔫𝔩𝔬𝔳𝔞𝔟𝔩𝔢... "
TW; mentions of transphobia/homophobia and conversion therapy.
Willow ended up trapped in Kingstown after getting into a car accident which caused injuries that led to him being in a coma for nearly two months. When he finally woke up, he remembered nothing more than his first name. Since he has no memories to work with he has decided to stay in town without knowing he does not have a choice in the matter.
He got into the accident due to some admittedly reckless driving but the young man was emotional and in a rush to get away from his trans-phobic family. Even after going through his own transition and doing everything to prove himself to his parents they still insisted on him going to counseling under the local priest. Which he knew was blatant code for conversion therapy. Thankfully, he had a cousin in Nebraska that was accepting and willing to get him out of that harmful environment.
Now, however, Willow is trapped in town and unbeknownst to him he has no idea what’s in store for him. Killers are around every corner, he has very little memories, and is far too willing to put his trust into the wrong people.
He does remember a few details about himself such as his name but with most things he cannot offer explanations or stories behind anything as simple as his favorite color is orange because... well he has no idea.
Overall, Willow has a big heart but too often it causes him to place his faith and hope in people that have proven over and over to be undeserving of it. The advantage to that is that it has created a thick skin and he has a strong sense of identity.
***PSA: I know this may be unnecessary to add but I also know my own personal experience as a trans man myself are not universal. Even if I am trans man writing a trans character I am still very open to constructive criticism from anyone within the community if my portrayal of this character ever becomes inappropriate. Good vibes to everyone !
