So I’ve been rewatching spn and I couldn’t help but notice that when Dean was close to going to hell because of his deal, he was able to see demons’ real faces and it got me wondering if all of the times Dean was close to death if he could see all of Cas. His wings. His true form. All of it. And that’s why whenever Dean is always rushing into dangerous situations. So he can see Cas’ true form.

Dean didn't really know how to stop him. He was chained to a table. But, when Cas went to the door and knocked, Dean made one last attempt: "I can't let you take the fall for me." He saw the straight line of Cas' shoulders slacken, watched his fists loosen. Every line of him appeared tired. Half looking over his shoulder, Cas said softly, "I've already fallen for you, Dean."
