waiting rooms
↬ what is a waiting room?
a waiting room is a place where people shift before they go directly to their dr. the reason for this could be to adjust to the feeling of shifting, or just to relax at any point before, during, or after your dr.
↬ what can I do in my waiting room?
anything & anywhere, with anybody.
↬ can I shift with other people to my WR?
yes! just make sure to use the same script!
↬ how long can I stay there?
as long as your heart desires.
↬ what does a waiting room look like?
your waiting room looks the way you want it/script it to; the possibilities are endless! here's some inspo.
↬ do i need to have one?
nope! it's just a fun extra you can use!
↬ can my waiting room be fictional or anime?
100%
↬ can I get to my dr through my waiting room?
yes! you can script that your waiting room has some sort of portal/door/entrance to your dr (or multiple)!
↬ do I need to have a script for my wr, and do I have to have only one wr?
no! everything is in your subconscious!
↬ does my waiting room have to be a bedroom?
no. it can be as small or as big as you want it. from a room to an entire planet!

scripting
↬ what is scripting?
scripting is basically a guide-line for which reality you want to go to. you are not creating a reality with your script.
↬ how do i script?
this varies. mostly because some people prefer to physically script, others like to digitally script, and others do not script at all (which is not necessary!
personally, i digitally make my scripts (here's my template) because it's easier to access/edit.
when it comes to full sentences or short bullet points, i do both. i use bullet points under my "dr rules" section, but tend to use full sentences when doing things like changing up the plot, or scripting my backstory.
↬ what to script?
here's a basic script template to get you started! its not perfect, but it's simple enough.
↬ other faqs
the answers to these questions, are mostly opinion based, and from my experience shifting.
is it okay to script somebody into a relationship with me?
yes. scripting, like i said before, is simply a guide to get you to the reality you want. you are not forcing anybody into anything, because you are not creating the reality!
should i script everything i want to happen in my dr?
you can, but it is definitely not necessary.
can i die in my dr?
you can, but if you did, you would come back to your cr's body. you can also script that you can't die in your dr, but i tend not to unless i am shifting somewhere where i am actually immortal in any way (ex: the originals).
what are the best things to put in my script?
you can literally script anything, but here are some that i always include!
high pain tolerance (i don't like to script no pain because it doesn't feel as realistic, but you totally can!)
___ time in my dr is ___ time in my cr
i always smell/look good

tv method
put on some subs, lay down.
imagine you're watching TV in your OR.
when you feel ready, grab the remote and change the channel.
change it till you land on your DR. now get up (when you're ready), and walk through the TV.
once in your DR, go to your bedroom. you should see your DR self, sleeping. let yourself sort of melt into them and fall asleep.

sage method
play subs, lay down, and clear your head.
visualize what it feels like to shift. see a white light around you, imagine your consciousness shifting to your DR.
control your breathing as much as you can.
feel your surroundings change and open your eyes.
TIP: this method is better if you're extremely tired, like about to fall asleep.

sunni method
play your subs and lay down. close your eyes and start feeling like you're in your DR. i mean, really feel it. use all five senses. ask yourself: what do you hear? smell? feel? how does the floor feel, or the bedsheets? is the room cold or hot? is there someone there with you? can you hear conversations?
now visualize a scene from your DR, a simple one. getting out of bed, taking a shower, walking to class. repeat this step over and over until you fall asleep or your surroundings change.

estelle method
play a song, lay down, and imagine you dancing to it with a special person from your DR.
you can play the song on loop, or just once. but once you're ready, and the song finishes, your DR person will say "are you ready to go home?" say yes, and they'll lead you to a door, holding it open for you.
there will be a bright white light and as you walk through you should feel like your falling, affirm to yourself. when you feel like you're open your eyes, or just fall asleep and wake up there.

ceiling method
play your subs. lay on your back, looking up at the ceiling. start daydreaming about your DR (with your eyes open!).
use your senses and emotions whilst doing this, and take as much time as you feel you need.
when your ready, your eyes should become unfocused (though still open). picture the ceiling moving further away from you, and your eyelids will begin to feel heavy; let them close.
keep visualizing your DR, and begin affirming. now you can fall asleep and wake up there or let your surroundings fully change and open your eyes in your DR.
