Character Sketch Plans
To sketch my characters, I’m going to interview them, have them write their own diary, work on their portrait, set up their daily routine and issue their birth certificate. It’s quite a handful to deal with multiple characters but it gives my characters a more defined life and sense of realism. I must remember to look at my plot outline while planning for my characters’ interviews.

Plot Outline Complete
For many years, I’ve studied the art of novel-writing especially after being stuck for a long, long time. I didn’t know what I was doing. I took up online classes offered on a writing site.
Eventually, I understood that novelists experiment with their craft all the time. They rarely take the same approach or a linear path even though they follow a similar structure.
That greatly challenged my perception towards novel-writing. Thus, I spent a long time studying its structures. This year, I’m finally confident enough to resume my unfinished business.
Late April, I kickstarted my novel-writing challenge on another writing site and with a group of like-minded writers, we dug head-on into our novels, shared our experiences, weekly goals and submissions. We’ll be doing this throughout the year while taking breaks in-between.
In this group, I emphasized on progress over perfection because the latter often stops us from tackling our novel-writing project. It is a little something I’ve learnt from my workplace.
I’ve applied my knowledge of ‘Save the Cat’ Beatsheet for Novel-writing by Blake Schneider and sketched my plot outline. Though I kept redoing it for the past two months,  my plot outline this time is the strongest yet and I’m proud of it. I’ve sketched the entire story from A-Z and kept it interesting throughout. I can’t wait to start writing it.

Ground Zero
Over the years, I’ve set up many blogs but they eventually falter. There are many reasons. The lack of motivation. The absence of a unifying message. A traumatizing past. Eventually, the line between reasons and excuses began to blur. As time goes by, it no longer matters.
I’ve set this one up to share my novel-writing journey and work on my novel. On another writing site, I run a two-week novel-writing challenge that ends on 2 May 2020.
Hereby begins my journey. I call myself the nibblingwriter because I was really hungry when looking for a username (it was available) and I live to be a writer. That is the only identity I’ve assumed since beginning my career and I don’t plan to shy away from it any time soon.
Although I will not share any of my novel publicly for now, I shall report my progress from time to time. Thank you for your support.
