I just wanted to draw light colored eyelashes. I was gonna shade this but then my energy got drained. I and another member of my household think I have a cold so that’s great.

Anyways I wanted to draw three so you get a little Vania drawing. I like her, Akita, and Benthomaar (my child) from the later seasons. None of them will be part of my AU (as of right now) but I may do some stray sketches of them if they were.

Also sorry this took so long, something’s up with my right arm. The whole thing hurts in my joints, and it’s not my normal carpal tunnel pain either. It’s like if I don’t use it it hurts, and so far heat’s the only thing that’s helped. It’s a massive pain.

I feel like the goofier sideplots of DR would be genuinely PERFECT in a more episodic action show, rather than an action show with a heavily serialized plot. I can't explain my thought process (brain fried rn) but trust me when I say I'm very smart and correct here.

So hear me out: Lloyd and the other ninja somehow stumble into the land of monsters, and run into Kai, who they don't even recognize anymore. He doesn't recognize them either--thinks they're another illusion--and attacks them. He's about to kill Lloyd when it hits him that this is actually his real little brother.

What if Kai and Lloyd didn't reunite and when Lloyd meets Wyldfyre he thinks Kai is dead :D

Just thinking about this scene and...

Consider this: Reluctant Knight AU

Where Kai and Bolsen don't succeed in killing the queen, and Bolsen ultimately dies by her hand. In order to save Daidan's life, Kai has no choice but to become the queen's new champion--her "knight." His duties to her include bringing weaker, less powerful monsters for her to drain, and to slay monsters she doesn't want in her territory. The whole time Daidan is her prisoner, and because Kai refuses to lose anyone else, he keeps reluctantly (heh) serving the queen.

Now that the queen is the one powering him up, not Fuzz (btw Fuzz is still there as grumpy comic relief idk), Kai's corruption is spreading a lot faster. Which is bad, and he hates it, until he realizes she's unwittingly giving him the very power he needs to defeat her. Kai strikes a deal with Fuzz, and the two pair up one last time and kill the queen. Daidan is free, Kai's free, even Fuzz is free! Everyone's happy, right?

Except Kai is suffering from the severe consequences of being exposed to the queen's powers for so long. He's not exactly human anymore. And one day, he'll snap and the monster within will finally break free.
