Ranting Up A Storm Episode 4 What I learned about Mentorship

EVERYTHING I KNEW ABOUT MENTORSHIP WAS WRONG.

What is mentorship then?

Mentorship is finding someone who is an expert in whatever topic you have goals in that can show you how to be successful in that area.

This part I did understand and knew BUT the following I did not...

✅A mentor you don't have to sit down with for ☕️🍩

✅You don't ever actually have to speak to a mentor

✅Anyone can find a mentor in any topic easily in a few minutes

After listening to The Cardone Zone on Mentorship I learned all of this and 5 new rules to abide by to be a good mentee.

1️⃣Redefine mentorship (not just sitting and picking someone's brain during coffee)

2️⃣Figure out what you really want (6 pack abs, money, a popular brand, massive real estate portfolio)

3️⃣Find an expert that alines with what you really want and can give you the data you need

4️⃣Go deep into their material before you even think about reaching out to them

5️⃣When the time comes make sure you ask an unbelievable question

I believe both 1 and 4 really changed the game for me.

Now I know that Grant and other successful entrepreneurs have always been my mentors but I just was too blind to see it 🤓

And with rule number 4 you're really saving the hassle of trying to contact them to ask the mentor a question they've probably answered already and you're not wasting their time (WHICH IS A TURN OFF)

A mentor is more likely to answer questions when you have already have taken the time and watched everything they have already done and can reference those things
