“How about you grab the table …and I can get you that coffee?” Shawn offered as a compromise.  It wasn’t a bad one, if he was honest.  “How do you like your coffee?  I don’t wanna assume and order the wrong kind.  People get very specific about their coffee.”

“Sounds perfect to me,” Nicky smiled. “That is true. People are very picky. But black is fine. I’m easy.” She immediately blushed. “Um, with my coffee order, I mean... I’m just gonna... get that table...” she laughed.

On a busy street corner about a block away from The Tipton Hotel, Nicky was setting up her keyboard and speakers, and the little box to collect tips (she hoped… if people liked her new songs). She almost never sang without her sister. She almost never did anything without Allie. But she was trying to be independent, to be her own person, to live her own life. These were songs she had written by herself, about herself. She used the beat of her nervous heart as a metronome as she started to play.

“Yeah?  I didn’t even notice that we got the same thing,” Shawn smiled as he rubbed the back of his head with his free hand.  “Looks like two of us are being dumbasses today.  Except …I didn’t work a fourteen-hour shift.  Jeeze, that’s crazy.  I’m surprised you’re still alive after that long shift.  Right now, I’m feeling like I should buy you a coffee or something - like a congrats for surviving fourteen hours of work.”

“Well, let’s be dumbasses together,” she laughed. “Am I still alive? I definitely feel closer o the zombie side of things right now. I wouldn’t be opposed to a coffee... I can grab a table for us, if you want. Unless you were meeting someone.”

Of all the things that Shawn had managed to get himself in and out of in his life, this certainly was not something extraordinary or out there;  in fact, it was pretty common place and surprisingly, not surprising.  Orders getting mixed up was pretty normal.  Albeit something that normally happened on television for the sake of striking up conversation, but this was real life.  He picked up the tray with the wrong order and briskly walked after the person who took his order.  

“Hey,” he called out as caught up to them, “I think you accidentally took my order.  I think this one’s yours,” he said as he held out the tray of food toward the other person.

“Oh, shit, sorry,” Nicky blushed, “I’m such a dumbass today. I worked a fourteen-hour shift with one fifteen minute break. Is that even legal? It shouldn’t be if it is,” she sighed, smiling at him as she switched his tray back. “Well hey, we got almost the same thing. You’ve got good taste, sir.”

I’ve been following you for a while, but I also have... a few pieces from your line,” she said, deciding not to be weirdly specific. “I love your work, you are an artist.”

But I love them. I like being scared in... in a safe setting. Where it isn’t real, and once it’s over, I go back to my normal life. Does that make sense?”

So we're clearly bending a lot of rules with these twins, including basically ignoring the existence of Fuller House altogether.

(This means if anyone wants to join as the Tanner girls, feel free to make them younger, who caes, we do what we want here).

So here is my Nicky:

Her full name is Nicolette Irene Katsopolis

She’s a Concierge at the Tipton Hotel by day, and a dangerously charming party girl by night

She’s very flirty and very adventurous and impulsive and wild. She’s friends with everyone, but will choose her twin sister Allie over all of you, every time.

She has no idea what she wants to do with her life. Right now her plan is to run the hotel, but I think that’s more just to see if she can.

She and Allie have a band like Tegan and Sara.
