It is time for pride month. And for me and many other us citizens its a terrifying time. We are being targetted by our government and so many more citizens who see us wrongly as a danger.

Id like to share a bit about myself. I am ftm, i came out when i was about 22 to 23 years old. I didnt even tell my mother because my first experience with meeting a trans person was actually my younger sibling.

I am no contact with my family now, so i will not go into details. But what im saying also is. Im a 28 man, i dont care if im not on hormones i dont even care if you keep calling me she. I know who i am and i will not apologize for existing. I work, i pay taxes, i struggle with mental health.

Pride month was originally started by protests. And with whats been going on in texas, i hope this month is filled with hope for you. Hope and justice as there is nothing wrong with you, nothing unnatural. All bodies are unique, just as are people. I will do what i can this month to celebrate and support my fellow lgbtq.

The Sims 4: Showtime and Katy Perry’s Sweet Treats Conversions!

I know the community was a bit divided when it came to all the items in TS3 Showtime/Katy Perry’s Sweet Treats, but I’ve always thought the objects were cute, especially for children’s bedrooms and community lots.  

I’m still going through and redecorating my community lots and when it came time to do my ice cream parlor, I knew I need some objects from these two packs!  I decided to do a whole set of “sweet” themed objects- not just ice cream related ones, for anyone else who wants to use them.

Coming next will be my custom-made CC for my ice cream parlour and the lot I built for it. You’ll need most of these objects first, so that’s why this one is being uploaded first :)

Random Small Mods

🫂 Interact in Tight Spaces

Currently in testing phase

This mod allow Sims to interact in tighter spaces. It should work with most interactions that would normally require Sims to have some space around them (like hugging or kissing, and even slow dancing, no more going outside for that !).

The good part is that this mod is very simple and won't require updates, as it's only modifying the footprint of some invisible objects that are used to determine where Sims can interact (and make them move somewhere else if there is not enough room.)

Keep in mind that it might cause some clipping on objects around them for interactions with wide-ranging movements, but nothing really bad 🤗

📸 Photography Improvements

This mod consists on three files, that provide improvement to the photography experience in-game:

DISL_Photography_InstantPhotoPhone.package: Adds an interaction from your Sim phone to take photos instantly instead of waiting for an interaction to run.

DISL_Photography_OverrideZoomSize.ts4scrpt: No matter the camera (or phone) used, you will always have access to the zoom slider and the different picture size when taking a photo.

PhotoCamera.ini: Replaces a file in your game folder (The Sims 4\Game\Bin\res) to extend the zooming and the pitch of the camera (thanks to TheSandwichMeat on Reddit for the tip!)

Tip : save a view while in TAB mode using CRTL + 6/7/8 or 9, and when in photo mode, click on 6/7/8 or 9 to get back to this view - it also works with easels when painting from reference !

🚿 Shower at Sink

While conceiving mods to make life as a castaway more realistic, I lacked an alternative to bathtubs and showers that wouldn't look out of place and still consume water. So I created this mod that allow Sims to use sinks to perform a quick wash.

Sims won't autonomously do it if a shower or a bathtub is present on the lot (except for Slobs, Freegans and sims with Bad Manners) and it provides a tense buff for most of them. The interaction is not available is the Sim Hygyene level is high enough.

💘 Less Randos on Cupid Corner

This mod limits the number of random Sims appearing on Cupid's Corner to focus mainly on the ones from your own save. You should have 5 Sims from your save (with a stronger chance of using played Sims) and 1 random sims (this sims should be from the Gallery if enabled).

As it's a little bit less than the initial number of potential matches, I reduced the cooldown to 8 hours.

I added an alternate version that removes the ridiculous fish and trophy poses, as they don't make sense in most cases.

🖼️ Background Replacements for Cupid Corner

A small overide that replaces the background used for randomly generated matches on Cupid Corner. I started that to remove the backgrounds related to Sixam & the Magic Realm, but I went overboard and finally decided to replace everything to feature lots & worlds I edited, and some lots from @simsontherope 😊

❤️‍🩹 Less Couples on Community Lots

Lovestruck features couples visiting a community lot, doing nothing but cuddling or romantic interactions, with two couples at a time, taking up space for more useful visitors using the lot's facilities.

With this mod, only one couple will visit at a time, and while they will still perform romantic interactions, they might do other stuff on the lot (ordering from the bar, playing games, doing spa activities, sing karaoke, etc.)

👔 No Outfit Change When Promoted

If you are like me and you like to manually set-up the work attires of your sims, nothing is more frustrating than having to re-create the outfit after your sims get promoted.

I've taken my first steps into creating scripting mods to solve that ! This mod prevents work outfits to be modified when a Sim is promoted or demoted. Additionally, it provides some options to adjust the work outfit, available when clicking on a Sim under the Outfits > Work Outfit sub category:

Regenerate Work Outfit: recreate the work outfit(s) using the current level of the sims career(s)

Copy Accessories from Everyday: copies all the accessories (glasses, hats, jewelry, nails, rings, socks, bracelets...) from the 1st everyday outfit to the career outfit(s)

Modify in CAS: quick access to the sims.modify_career_outfit_in_cas cheat

Thanks to Scumbumbo for their work on the Outfit Tools that really helped me set this up, and Scripthoge for the injector that allow to replace existing scripts!

↕️ Shorter teens

Currently in testing phase

This kind of mod has been done and redone, but it often comes with a lot of options and features, and I wanted to make something way simpler. Using a hidden height slider (modified from a slider initially by simmythesim I had for a long time) and a custom script, this mod makes all teenagers slightly shorter.

Their height is set every time they spawn in the world and when they grow up, so there is nothing you configure (you can use the cheat "set_height_all_sims" when first loading your save, but it's not even necessary).

Note that the height is not applied directly in CAS, you need to have your Sim loaded in live mode for the first time for it to apply.

🎙️ Sims Sessions stage made usable

You can now use the Sims Sessions Stage outside the event when placed on a lot: place instruments on it and Sims are able to route to the instruments, and others can listen. Of course, as band are not a thing, no chance they play in sync, but at least that can be used for screenshots 😬 You can even set some light effects!

To find the stage, ad it's not available on the catalog, you can find it in a room on my gallery under EA ID Down-InSimsland (the room is named Sims Sessions Stage) or here as a tray file.

Ashe Hair

Happy (belated) Halloween! 🎃

With the release of the Life & Death EP, I'm sure that we all saw the monstrosity that is the fivehead hair that they've added to the game. I happened to see a lot of potential in that mesh, however, and used it to create THIS hairstyle that I have been pining for in my life for literal years. I think it came out amazing!

DISCLAIMER: While this mesh is very functional in game and looks pretty nice, there are always some minor visual glitches, and this one in particular does NOT work with hairline overlays I'm sorry 💔 It creates this ugly glitch on the forehead that I am unsure how to fix because messing with hairlines in meshes is not my strongsuit. If you are able to fix it for yourself, you're welcome to! Thankfully I think the natural hairline (and height lol) look pretty good now.
