Learning english : tips and fun
482 posts
Because I'm convinced that learning a foreign langage is a matter of practice, of regular attendance and that it has to be funny too above all, I've made the choice to create this page to read and write some "english" from different sources and origins, and also to share some funny things. So, welcome to my english-speaking universe ! I send my apolagise to the purists, I will do my best not to make great mistakes. If you want, tell me if I can make it much better. I'll be grateful for some help.

Our body speaks a lot and often. But we should ask ourselves what it really means. Body, soul and spirit need to be considered all together. Our consumer society uses to sell us the dream of a perfect body. Since my childhood I've been tought that this "perfectbodyness' is just fake. I dont need it. It's made of wrong dreams and the promess of desillusionment. We're certainly made of water, blood, organs, bones and muscles. But we have to accept our appearence, our character and that's not itall. We have to consider that across our experiences, our learnings, our meetings, our relationships, we still are growing. We're involved in a constant transformation. We stay the same and also we don't. If we refuse to realise this matter of fact, we possible could have a healthy body but alltogether a sad soul or an dysfunctional awarness. Beeing aware of what we really are and need shouldn't be only a goal in our life, it should become the base for living all the rest in peace with others as much as possible.

The idiom “Off the hook“ means “to be free from obligation or trouble.“ ⠀ Figurative senses of the word were used by the mid-1800s.⠀ Example 1: We found the guy who stole the money, so we know you didn’t do it; you’re off the hook.⠀ Example 2: Thanks for getting me off the hook. I didn’t want to attend that meeting.
