buffy is literally the show ever it has schlocky horror and funny looking puppets and the main character is failing out of school and the use of metaphor is so strong in a way that's genuinely nuanced and complex and you can think about different elements of major story points or individual episodes and pick them apart forever and our main girl fucks a house down and there's also an episode where beer turns people into cavemen

ABBY, the 1-2 gut punch that was watching House have his hallucination realization in Cuddy's office & then hearing Booth ask Brennan "Who are you?" in the SAME WEEK?? critical damage
the fox television network owes us HEFTY reparations

oh the fact that you don’t read the fluffy epilogues is so interesting to me because i love them But! very often they’re done in such a way that they deflate the story like yeah i like fluffy and domestic and a scene or a few from after the conflict is over and resolved but everything else (characterization, writing style (!!)) needs to carry through and i find that many people can’t really parse the post catharsis calm in any compelling way. so i always read them but i am unfortunately often left wanting!
i completely agree! i don't always skip them but sometimes i can tell where something is going, and while i'm glad the characters get their soft landing, i can tell that it won't satisfy me in any way so i just aksjdhf leave it. heavy emphasis on the characterization!!!!
