Its really funny looking back. I assumed waaay more premeditation on Evbo’s part than there ever was, the man didn’t even know that he was at the wrong base lmao
Tbf though, he seemed really suspicious from Rek’s pov XD
OK OK I AM SO INSANE ABOUT EVBO RIGHT NOW. DONT TALK TO ME. I NEED A MINUTE
Minute taken. Ok.
I watched Rek’s episode (and only his, so what I say may have already been disproven somewhere else) and I’m going absolutely insane. WHY WAS EVBO STARTING SO MUCH SHIT!? from where I was standing, it seemed like he was just like, doing shit to piss off people and to get in their way on purpose. Rek pointed out that there were too many people and it was causing tension BUT IT WAS LITERALLY JUST CLOWN AND EVBO BEEFING AND EVBO STARTED THAT.
But whatever. They’re just like that and with the added tension of the Red team sneaking into their camp and stealing the enchanting table, small fights breaking out is bound to happen. So I didn’t think much of it (beyond stressing tf out when they were trying to set each other on fire, what the heck is wrong with them /aff)
Then Branzy died.
Then Branzy died and Evbo didn’t tell them.
Like, he came up the stairs with that knowledge and he wasn’t saying anything. But to be fair, Rek and Clown were on him in a second asking about Branzy, he didn’t have much time to talk but even when they asked he just kinda shrugged it off like “haven’t seen him, no.” So half the team runs into the mine in a panic, looking for Branzy and THEN Evbo tells them Branzy died. That he saw him die.
Why didn’t you say that before? If you knew he was dead, why didn’t you say so when they first asked?? And again, I brushed it off at the time.
At the end of the session, Blue team converges in the Bed Room (capital B and R, yes) to do a headcount and log off and that’s when I noticed that there were nine people in the room.
Branzy died, and Blue team has nine people. Meaning that theoretically, all ten members made it back to homebase, right? But the canon sounded a few times. Three, if I remember correctly (which I might not be). One of those was Branzy but the other two? Could have been anyone. I still don’t have a full list of who’s in Red team.
I’m thinking about math. And odds. It’s not impossible that the other two deaths were both from Red team. Not even improbable, but it’s still more likely that at least one of those deaths was from Blue.
Which leads me to my theory: I think Evbo is actually from the Red team and infiltrated Blue base to wreak a bit of havoc. Which isn’t too bad.
But then the thought hits me: The only person who knows what happened to Branzy is Evbo, and if he happened to have done something, well, there’s nobody left to speak up, is there? It’s his word against no one’s because he was the only one there.
W hy did you lie about Branzy Evbo?

#this is just me spouting wild theories into the void#all of this is speculation at best#i have only watched Reks pov and am basing it off that alone#its a fun thought tho#im so hyped for this series#no armor hardcore spoilers#nah spoilers#n&a spoilers#AND THE FREAKING GAME MASTER??#THATS SO OMINOUS?#I DO NOT LIKE THEM#I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE MORE#no armor hardcore#evbo#branzycraft#rekrap2#debating whether to watch Branzy to confirm or deny my speculations or to live in the dark for the sake of mystery

I know im a year late on this but i just find it so funny how quickly Parrot resorts to violence sometimes. Like, I’m watching the UU episode in which him and Rekrap are trying to break into all of Zam’s prisons and free people from the chunk bans and at one point they’re talking to Zam, and Rek starts to strategize out loud, potentially revealing to Zam what they’re gonna do next and Parrot just snaps. Like, in this situation you’d expect the average minecraft player to hit their friend once or twice with their fist to catch their attention and tell them to shut up. But, not only did Parrot do it with a sword, he crit Rekrap THREE TIMES to get him to shut up. It’s like his fight mode switch got activated, he hit him the way he hits people when he’s fighting for his life

Watching unstable universe for the first time and i just watched Parrot’s episode where him and wifies go on a wild scavenger hunt to find a secret and i am so mad. I want to grab Spoke by the neck and throttle him. That was so fucking mean. No one has made me hate a character so much in a long time. Props to him for that performance holy shit

My favorite genre of Minecraft smp is when everyone seems pretty reasonable in their own pov while everyone else comes off as insane.
Which means that they’re all unhinged and they all think they’re the normal one.
#this is about unstable universe#unstable universe#parrotx2#spokeishere#wemmbu#those three specifically

I want to study Lifesteal smp under a microscope. I’ve never really explored the world of pvp based smps outside of the life series before and it’s fascinating. Cause like, the life series is designed to be a short-term game. They log on for three hours once a week and go ham, and there’s an objective, from the very start everyone knows that the point of the game is to be the last one standing and they act accordingly.
Then you have Lifesteal which seems to be a long-term server to which people can log on and off at their convenience and does not have a final objective necessarily, just a mechanic that allows players to steal hearts from each other and ban people from the server via taking all of their hearts. It’s set up like a normal smp but with higher stakes which creates an amount of natural tension that isn’t really present in most smps without the players artificially adding the stressors (things such as rolplay storylines or server-wide minigames such as Demise in Hermitcraft).
And I know I’m comparing it to the life series, as they’re both pvp based servers, but that’s just to lay down the differences between them. What I actually find truly fascinating is how much my brain wants to compare it both to Hermitcraft and to my own smp that I play in. The thing that catches my attention is how a lot of things of what I know and expect out of an smp just don’t apply here.
I noticed that people seem to be very paranoid in Lifesteal, for example. A lot of bases are hidden in secret locations from most of the playerbase and I’ve seen several people literally just pack up and leave cause their base got found by someone they didn’t want to know. Or how people will literally just start destructive fights in the middle of public areas and set up explosive traps without much regard for what’s being damaged. People will just kill each other despite knowing that every death puts a person closer to being permanently off the server(?)(which tbf, im pretty sure that’s why the mechanic is there, im just way to nice for a server like this, i wouldn’t be able to kill anyone knowing that). Some people hack in here too, apparently? And I don’t even wanna know what’s going on with the mods.
I think the best way to describe this experience for me is culture clash. It’s an environment that feels so familiar in a lot of ways and yet so different from what I know. It’s culture clash in a way that I’ve experienced before when moving to a neighboring country, the exact same kind of confusion when things don’t quite work the way I’ve come to expect them to and I can’t quite figure out why.
Anyway, I found JumperWho’s channel and I’m having a blast if you couldn’t tell.

it just hit me that the average watcher lore enjoyer doesn’t even know about the actual basis of watcher lore. they don’t even know the entire fanon is largely derived from one fanfiction written in 2019
#2019 hc fan here#we were in the fucking trenches man#in some ways we still are#as an evo fan i mourn every day that this smp has been reduced to little more than grians angsty backstory#some people genuinely think that the watchers were a fan creation#the impulse one is even more obscure cause its older#i live in pain#/lh

I feel like now is an excellent time for people to watch or rewatch Evo, me included. The fanon concept of Watchers has diverged a lot from their original appearance, and if the new series continues from Evo’s themes, a little refresher wouldn’t hurt.
