devoured this prompt and have some drabbles I might flesh out smore
Dc x Dp #42
Danny raising both de-aged Dan and Dani in Gotham and a small apartment. Everything seemed to be fine for the most part. Though he was tired of how many different jobs he had to keep taking because of all the rogues running around and trashing the place. He came home and complained everytime about the stupid rogues that was causing trouble. The latest was the Joker with his bombs blowing up the coffee shop he worked at.
He complained as he made his way into the kitchen to prepare dinner, missing the look that was shared between Dani and Dan.
Because while they were physically regressed to the ages of toddlers, their powers still stayed intact. Of course, the most Danny had to deal with was the two occasionally floated when they were sleepy or excited. Which he could handle. He didn't know how much the two were holding back in his presence to appear on their best behavior.
Which lead to Red Hood standing over said toddlers in the middle of the night. Dan holding a bloodied Joker by his hair. And by the faint trail of blood behind him, they were obviously dragging him somewhere.
Now, he's dealt with kids with superpowers before, but he didn't think he would have to deal with literal babies.
"So, what do you kids got there?" He asked, voice inquisitive yet static-like due to the voice modulator in his mask.
"We got a bad clown!" The girl chirped, blue eyes piercing with a proudness that no toddler should have about beating up someone. Though, he'll give it to her, he was a bad clown.
"And why do you have the bad clown?" He asked, ignoring the pained groan said clown let out that was muffled due to him being face down on the concrete. Hearing the sound, the young boy that had him lifted his head and slammed it down on the ground with a strength that startled Jason for a moment. His hand reflectively going for one of his pistols before settling.
Well, that answered the question of whether or not the kids did it themselves. Sparing a glance between two, he noticed the boy was a bit more roughed up
"He upset mama." The boy answered plainly, frowning as if upsetting his mother was the most unforgivable thing there was. Though, what kid didn't think that way? "He made mama job go boom!" She said, spreading her arms in an exaggerated manner to imitate an explosion.
Ah, Jason did remember Joker did blow up a few buildings the other day. He guessed their mother was working at one of them. Did that mean that she was a meta on the run, a civilian with two meta children, or some sick handler of child soldiers?
"Well, we better bring him to mama, shouldn't we? Bet she'd be really surprised to see what you two did." He offered, curious to see their reactions.
Both children suddenly looked up at him with matching blue eyes that sparkled with excitement. Probably because he wasn't going to stop them from what they were doing.
"Let's go see mama!" The young girl cheered, the boy giving a nod in affirmative before the two began walking down in a direction that was no doubt their home. The boys grip on the Joker's hair unfaltering as he continued to drag him through the pavement.
Jason followed the strange group, hands nestled in his pockets as he couldn't wait to see the reaction of their mother when the group returned home.

Olympic Gymnast Skull!
So we all know that Skull was a part of the circus right, that’s his whole thing and with a lot of activities in circuses involving acrobatics of some kind it would be easy to say that Skull can at the very least do flips.
Let’s take that farther. One of the most common theories about Skull is that he was raised in the circus. No person worth their salt would just throw a three year old onto a motorcycle and call it a day so he probably had to work his way up to stunt driving.
what did he do before this?…. Dick Greyson level acrobatics, minus the parents death(or plus it if you want to give him a ✨traumatic backstory✨
Gymnastic classes would then be a given because of the requirements, they were probably given by circus members but it would still be a gymnastics class. Skull loves his fans and family and probably loves attention…..so imagine
Skull witnessed a Olympic gymnast do a event badly and he knows someone who could have done it way better but they were never give the time to prove they could or one of his “circus freaks” mentions an event they thought he would excel at
(even if he doesn’t act like it he is still a cloud and still had a territory even if it isn’t a conventional one)
and Skull decides to just try it out. Just for fun. Just to settle a score that no one even really knows exists other than him. Just for his fans.
He takes a break from shows, from the circus and makes it onto a team.
He was constantly trying to get away from the Arcobalenos once he realized what it involved because he was busy preparing for the fucking Olympics and couldn’t afford to be caught up in guns and drugs….
In the Arcobalenos side the one civilian among them had somehow managed to get away and stay away from them for over a week. A new record… there have been no shows featuring the stunt driving cloud and everyone is slowly pulling their hair out looking for him when someone- probably Colonello- turns on the TV and they come face to face with a smiling Skull on a podium with a gold metal.

The arcobaleno all but on their knees because none of them ever thought they’d be able to find a sky strong enough to handle one of them let alone all of them: 🥺
Tsuna, a certified emotional dumb ass: I would rather die than force you into something like this.
Verde specifically: did this mf just say what I think he said?
Tsuna: All of you have been collared long enough. I’m not going to be the one to leash you again
Skull: God I wish you would
Tsuna: What?
Skull: What?
No but jokes aside a sky strong enough to handle them all that cares more about them as people rather than the ideal of the “world’s strongest”, that wants their happiness above all else and has proved that by going to the mat for them and winning? Arcobaleno catnip. Every single one of them would have gladly harmonized with Tsuna years ago if they thought there was room in his sky and now that he needs them? There is no way in hell any of them would be willing to let him go.

Tsuna’s guardians and the Arcobaleno only being able to catch Tsuna when he is too weak from his sky sickness to fight back has me crying
My poor baby
A healthy Tsuna can and has run circles around all of them. For the most part he doesn’t because he truly cares about all of them, but if it’s something he really doesn’t want to do? Good luck keeping him there. He is larger than life. He is the Vongola Decimo. He is Primo Reborn.
That’s why it hits harder, seeing how exhausted he is after such a pitiful fight. Seeing how he sags into Fon’s waiting arms and can barely keep himself on his feet. Seeing the tears of frustration in his eyes because he knows he should be stronger but refusing to take the cure right in front of them because he won’t hurt the people he cares about like others did.

Skull being so into Tsuna is giving me life
Skull had always liked Tsuna.
At first it was an acknowledgment of mutual misery (read: Reborn), then it was the fact that Tsuna had freed them, then it was the fact that above all else Tsuna was kind.
Tsuna who smiled at him. Tsuna who laughed and dragged him along with the group. Tsuna who protected him from Reborn and Colonnello.
Skull hated that he had been too slow to find place in that sky. Hated that once again the only person who was kind and strong enough for his clouds already had that place filled. Hated that he cared as much as he did whether or not Tsuna would ever be able to harmonize with him when Tsuna’s friendship was all that should have mattered.
Then Tsuna got sick. Then they learned that Tsuna needed more guardians to live. Then Tsuna turned them all down, believing they were offering out of obligation.
Well, Skull had never been one to give up easily. He wouldn’t have been much of a stuntman if he was the type to back down from a challenge.
So, once Tsuna was back on his feet after his first attack (paler than he had been, thinner, eyes constantly orange and skin too hot to the touch no matter how many cool compresses the others pressed to his brow) and nearly at the end of his rope with all of his current and hopeful guardians fussing over him, he did what any proper cloud should and spirited his sky away to rest for a while.
Tsuna blinked when he heard the roar of Skull’s bike, blinked again when Skull pushed his visor up to shoot a mischievous grin at him before tossing a spare helmet.
“Hurry up before they catch us!”
Already they could hear thudding footsteps approaching.
Tsuna looked over his shoulder, then laughed, bright and free and so like his old self that it made Skull’s chest ache. A moment later the tenth boss of the Vongola was pressed against Skull’s back a too thin arm wrapped around his waist as a laughing voice urged him to “Go, go, go!”
The bike roared as he tore away from the other guardians not quite loud enough to cover their shouts and snarls and demands to known what the fuck he was doing. Fortunately it also wasn’t loud enough to cover the sound of Tsuna’s laughter as he pressed himself even closer to use Skull as a windbreak.
Let the others have their own schemes and plots to woo their sky. Skull had his own and he would be damned if he let any of the others ruin it.

If you're still doing the prompts vs slumps, I'll throw my hat in for more Compass fic, if you like? I'd love to see what's happening as the Acrobaleno adjust to post-apocalyptic life, and bond even more as a team?? Or, will Skull ever start improving/stabilizing in their world/reality in measurable ways? Or, what even does their group look like as they knit tighter without a traditional sky??? No pressure, I'm only curious for anything you're willing to share!
Much later than anticipated but I love the compass 'verse, so here I (finally) am with some answers to what happens next (the immediate next not the long-term next):
After the world breaks apart and keeps turning anyway, after the endless rain finally stops and the sky clears for the first time in two months, Skull leaves without looking back.
It's hard to make sense of for him, never mind try and explain it to others, but Skull is so unbelievably sick of being trapped on top of this mountain. Even his colors can only do so much to ease the growing itch under his skin, the same itch that told him to run all those months ago, back before a human shaped wound bleeding indigo popped into his life. And Skull likes his colors, likes to think that they like him in turn just a bit but he can't stay. Doesn't want to stay.
(Skull is a cloud, whatever the fuck that means, and none of the Arcobaleno are stupid enough to stand in his way.)
So he leaves at the first chance he has, the very day the road down the mountain is finally declared passable again. He has to leave his bike behind because there's a mudslide half-way down the street but that doesn't stop Skull. He needs to go and that this point it doesn't matter how fast he's moving to do so.
The others stay behind and part of Skull is glad for it.
[Part of Skull rubs his skin where their color has sunken into his body until long after the marks have faded away.]
It could end here. If the Arcobaleno were better people - less possessive of what they consider their own, less determined to hold on to someone who might yet be able to build a life away from the underworld - maybe it would have been. But none of the Arcobaleno claim to be decent, never mind good and Skull cannot be trusted to be left to his own devices.
Whether he knows, remembers it or not, he is their Cloud. Skull can be forgiven to forget, but the rest of the world? Not so much.
And well. The world is recovering and rebuilding from an unexpected and inexplicable upheaval. But after the immediate aftermath of the disasters has passed, not as much chances as one would think.
Not at first and certainly not within the mafia.
But the mafia isn't ready for a group of Arcobaleno who are not weakened and weighed down by their curse, who have forged bonds of loyalty but do not form a traditional Harmony, are loyal to each other (to a degree) but don't answer to a Sky.
No. The mafia isn't ready at all.
[They just don't realize that until the first Family tries to ensnarle Skull.]
I could go on but I think I'm gonna stop here. As you see I have a lot of ideas about this verse - it's more that I'm not sure if I'm gonna get around to write it all out any time soon. But if you have further questions or want answers to anything I forgot, let me know!
I'm always happy to chat about one of my AUs :)

arcobaleno musical chair style not-really-polyamory
okay okay so hear me out. there are franchises in which there are a group of people that end up dating each other and switching relationships and partners within the group to the point everyone's been with everyone basically. but it's usually played for drama, yeah?
so what if instead, it was just like that, but portrayed as something extremely good and fun and cute. they keep on dating each other and cycling around because there are so many amazing options and of course they want to explore them, and they're a bit too colourful people personality-wise to really stay in a single long term committed romantic relationship.
and actually yeah, sometimes there are some hurt feelings, and it's not like there is an official terms and conditions or schedule for this shit, and yeah it wasn't really planed to go this way from the start so it probably had quite a clumsy beginning too. but bottom line is that they are all aware of what's up, in on it, and enjoying the dynamic. and sometimes you gotta take an L sure, but better to have loved and lost and all that.
they all know every single arrangement is in a way temporary, but they throw themselves into it to treat it like any other romantic relationship. because why shouldn't they? that's the good time they're here for. and by "in a way" temporary i mean they won't stick to dating that person for forever, but of course they mean a lot to each other regardless of their current relationship status: it's just that in this scenario that in particular would be changing a lot.
it can confuse people who lack the context, and the arcobaleno aren't really the types to think they owe anybody en explaination so they just let it be. in fact, some could fuel whatever flames are burning high by continually introducing the others as "my ex" lmaooo.
idk if it makes too much sense, but while everyone gets a piece of everyone it's still not exactly traditional polyamory dynamic. sure i can see a threesome having happened at some point or other, but generally it's more like they're that friend group who have all had their tongue down each other's throats in high school and are extremely good natured about it. think it's pretty neat that they got to have a taste of the whole buffet, yaknow?

We need to make fun of the Arcobaleno except for the skies, Skull, and Colonnello. Like they didn't even question why the strongest flame users were brought together nor why it was so important that they all were the strongest flame user of their flame type that Checkerface technically broke Omerta and brought in a complete civilian.
Reborn and Luce were criminals, and I think Mammon and Fon might have been as well. Verde was just doing science and not giving a FUCK about the law. Lal was part of the military, so she probably wasn't a criminal, but I wouldn't say being a soldier is the same as being a civilian.
Whereas Skull was some random stuntman who before getting involved with them probably only got hurt badly when a stunt went wrong.
BUT NOBODY QUESTIONED WHY A STRONG CLOUD USER WAS NEEDED SO BABDLY THAT THEY BROUGHT IN A COMPLETE CIVILIAN WHO HAD PROBABLY NEVER KILLED ANYONE.
Thats why Fandom love this man so mutch

[on their way home]
Tsuna, driving Skull and Lal: So how was your day?
Skull: We almost got surprise adopted!
Tsuna: What?
Lal: We almost got kidnapped.
Tsuna: Oh, okay.
Tsuna: [slams on the breaks] WAIT WHAT?!

what if tsuna got close to harmonizing with skull before he got sick, but now that it’s required to keep him alive…well Tsuna would never chain a cloud. Especially not one who’s spent more of his life unwillingly tethered than not.
Andndndksksk I’m feral about this tbh.
Part of the reason that it took so long for Tsuna to actually get sick (other than the fact he had none extra guardian already) is because of the partial harmonization with Skull.
Skull isn’t around a lot — most of the Arcobaleno aren’t truthfully — but whenever he is it’s impossible to miss just how at ease he and Tsuna are together. It’s even harder to miss the feeling of their flames (Tsuna’s ever present sky and Skull’s playful clouds) dancing and tugging at each other.
Tsuna realizing how close they are getting to harmonizing and trying to draw back and distance himself because he can’t do that to Skull. Cant chain him down when he has finally gotten the chance to taste freedom after so long.
Only a few days after he started suppressing that half formed bond is when he collapsed for the first time.

Me: *Suddenly remembers that one John Mullaney quote*
Skull: You're all gonna die! Street smarts!!
Yes! Skull has all the street smarts of a JJ Bittenbinder graduate, can do complex stunt-related calculations on the fly, is a fantastic mechanic and cook, and can live on a shoestring budget, but couldn't file an actual tax return to save his life, has no idea what a 401k is, and his reading skills are mmmm shaky at best.

gods i love this so much <3333
Hopes, Hopes, think about that with me please : Skull, whom the Arco keeps nagging to join a family (they want him to be safe, he's too vulnerable on his own, but he doesn't understand, doesn't want to listen) and he is just so fed up that rather than accepting the first family that wants to hire him regardless of status (Carcassa in this case) so that the Arcoleave him alone , he simply decides to go find the most untouchable employer, both for the mafia but also for the other Arcos.
Or: I project my Skull & Bermuda friendship agenda and Skull joins the Vindice as an independent executor.
Imagine the CHAOS (even Reborn wasn't ready).
oh i am thinking alright and i love it. i'm especially thinking about what role kawahira might play in this? like, is this pre-curse and he's scrambling to NOT let that happen because bermuda would have nothing to lose telling skull what'll actually be coming out of the whole chosen seven thing, or is this post-curse and he's STILL scrambling to not let that happen because just imagine the damage a skull & bermuda/vindice team up could do. kawahira might be god-like and whatnot, but even he would sweat a little at that i think.
also you know what i think would be really funny too? if skull was lying through his teeth to the arco because he's that fed up with having them on his back. like one day he just looks them dead in the eye and goes "i'm now part of the vindice actually, happy now? i'm more specifically their executor, you know, just saying, i'm totally not threatening you so you'll finally leave me the fuck alone or anything", and he gives out nothing of his lie while panicking inside because he's very much not, fuck fuck fuck, but he just has to commit to it now and make it true, because that's the next logical step to take, right? right.
so he shows up to the vindice, and uses the excuse of "i've already told everyone (the arco) that i am your executor, and no offense but i'm much more approachable-looking than you guys so you know they'll come look for me first from now on, so really, it's in your best interest to actually make me your executor so i don't bullshit my way through this and fuck things up" to convince them to take him in, and bermuda hates him all the more for it, which i think would be a hilarious dynamic to build their friendship on lmao.
thank you for the ask! <3

tsuna and skull being fiercely protective of each other >>>>>
I’m getting omega4omega tsuna and skull vibes and I am delighted
My mind is wide open and I can see.
Omega4omega Skull and Tsuna have watered my crops have cleared my skin have hoteled my trivago.
Skull being the only omega in the Arcobaleno and bonding with Tsuna over being two of the only people around with any sense that doesn’t think only with their knot. Skull encouraging Tsuna to do more and more crazy and out there things that a “good omega” would never do calling each crazy adventure one of their dates. Skull who doesn’t even hesitate to offer to help Tsuna through his heat when the other comes to him complaining that his guardians are all being weird and so typically alpha about it.
Tsuna who after that heat can’t imagine ever going back to a toy when Skull treated him better than he ever thought possible. Tsuna who all but trips over himself to return the favor when Skull’s heat comes. Tsuna who, beforehand, asks Skull all red faced and nervous if they can “practice” because he was so out of it during his own heat and he wants to make sure that Skull has the best time possible.
Skull vows right at that moment that he is going to mate Tsuna as soon as possible because there is no way he is letting some knothead take his little Sky away.
