I know I’m really late to the party here, but I just saw Mufasa: The Lion King and I’m sorry you’re trying to tell me that Scar’s (arguably one of the best Disney villains of all time) great villain origin story is that he and Mufasa liked the same girl but she chose Mufasa and somehow that’s Mufasa’s fault even though Mufasa was, like, actively encouraging Taka and Sarabi.

They had 30 years to figure this out and that’s the best they could come up with???

Spoilers: his facial acting was phenomenal. Made me genuinely question if they used CGI to simulate android behavior. Most android characters in film are played very human-like to the point where you often forget they’re meant to be a synthetic. But David Jonsson kept the performance cranked up to a hundred the whole time. The little twitches, the movement of the eyebrows, the mouth articulation!!
