what did it feel like when you finally got to see tori and michael interact on screen?

Actual magic. I think the first scene Jenny and Darragh shot together was at the fete, and I was sooooo excited to see Tori and Michael finally on screen together. They were so instantly perfect, it was just like... wow, they're REAL.

But their first meeting at the NYE party was my favourite. I'd say that's one of my favourite tiny scenes in the entire season. It's shot beautifully, and Jenny and Darragh just understood exactly what needed to be done. Just felt like the most magical moment!

I always wonder if certain set pieces and props with a handwritten font are in your writing? Like the GCSE results boxes, Jack Maddox’s signage, Tara’s dance studio, or the “my future” worksheets. If so, did you get to help draw/design them? And which other cool set pieces did you get to contribute to?

The only bits of text that are actually my writing are the on-screen handwritten text, such as you see in the credits, or occasionally throughout the show - for example the 'week one/two/three' in ep 2. But the handwriting-style font that reoccurs throughout the season in set design, such as the Jack Maddox signage, is actually a font either chosen or designed (I'm not sure which!) by the graphic designer who worked in the art department this season. It was chosen specifically as it looks similar to my handwriting (aka the Heartstopper font style haha)!

I didn't contribute much to the set design this season to be honest! I did have a very small hand in Tori's bedroom and suggested which items would be on display on the walls and dresser etc. But that's pretty much it, as far as I can remember!

in hstv canon, did tori and michael meet for the first time at the NYE party or had they already met at school before? and what's your thoughts on how they met (presuming there's no solitaire pranks...)?

So in my mind, Tori and Michael's first official meeting was still the same - Michael showed Tori around Truham when Tori was deciding which Sixth Form to go to. But then - and this is where we diverge from Solitaire canon - the next time they meet after that is at the NYE party. Which I always refer to as their 'first meeting' in the show because that's what it feels like, really. Confusing, sorry! Honestly, it's deliberately left up to interpretation - you can decide yourself how much of Solitaire is canon to Heartstopper TV. In my mind, most of it is, we just don't see it happen!

did you have any favorite wardrobe pieces for any of the characters in s3?

Immediately coming to mind are: Charlie's pink cardigan in ep 7 and the green cardigan in ep 8 (when he's waving goodbye to Nick), Charlie's denim jacket, Nick's blue raglan shirt/sweatshirt at Charlie's birthday party, Nick's Leeds uni outfit, Elle's Christmas outfit, Tori's NYE outfit, Charlie's fete t-shirt, Isaac's brown dungarees in ep 3, and obviously all the Halloween costumes but special shout out to Tao's Frank Donnie Darko costume.
