Then the archaeologist likely didn’t have a complete skeleton. An extreme morphological variation from the mean would be required to misidentify or inconclusively identify a pelvis. An accumulation of different skeletal markers can provide a descent estimate as well. It is harder to identify the sex of prepubescent children, to the point that if they haven’t entered puberty most archaeologists don’t attempt to sex them.
Now, why is this misinformation and misunderstanding of identifying skeletons problematic?
First, archaeologists are not the only ones using bones to identify bodies. Missing person cases often deal with bones, especially when the remains have been decaying for a while. Bones can help forensic anthropologist identify age, sex, and narrow down ethnic origin. Being able to identify the sex of remains is vital to match remains to missing person cases. If anthropologist are making it up then forensic sciences will need to undergo radical changes in order to be salvageable.
Second, archaeologist have been androcentrism since it’s inception. A few years back archaeologists in Europe kept reevaluating Norse burials and realizing these warriors were actually female when they had been recorded as male. This challenged the ethnocentric ideas about gender in Nordic cultures because women could be warriors. If you say skeleton sexing is impossible, you leave room for two possibilities: archaeologists will project their own ideas of gender onto past cultures with no way of challenging or refuting those ideas or archaeologists cannot understand gender in past cultures because they cannot know if the remains found were male or female. Both of these cripple archaeology as a field.
Third, the idea that sometime scientists don’t know and this cannot be trusted is an anti science misconception that leads to conspiracy theories. While Milo Rossi is not perfect, in my opinion, making comments like OPs in at least one video, he does an excellent job of breaking down distrust in scientific establishments and methods and how those develop and become conspiracy theories. For example, aliens, pyramid theories, and other conspiracy theories about the past come from a place of “the scientists don’t know and can’t prove me wrong”.
Now it is important to acknowledge the limits identifying the sex of skeletal remains. Each biological sex has a range of characteristic and variations in genome or genome expression (disordered sex development) can further diversify physical expression (phenotype if you remember 9th grade biology). People also modify their bodies through cultural means. Sometimes you do have a complete human adult skeleton and cannot tell for sure the biological sex of the remains, but that is extremely rare. The pelvis is the most reliable evidence of sex determination, but skulls and long limbs can also be very helpful. Anthropologists are scientists so they look at every marker they have to determine what the most likely identification. Then they go through the publishing process where their data gets double checked and peer reviewed and then open to all anthropologists to argue about. Most anthropologists error on the side of caution when dealing with ambiguous remains. Especially when the remains are disarticulated, entangled, or broken, it is better safe than sorry.
Please stop spreading dangerous misinformation about human sexual dimorphism.
terfs: 10,000 years after you die, archeologists will always be able to tell your assigned gender and that's all they're going to know about you! archeologists in real life: By the height, and slight stature compared to the adult men, the last skeleton at the scene most likely belonged to a woman or a teenage boy. The damage and marks on the bones and the wear of the teeth imply the progressed stages of multiple veneral diseases, which doesn't narrow it down much.

I fail my class if I write something on my own that sounds like AI. My professor will be using AI checkers and has encouraged us to use AI checkers on ourselves to make sure we don’t sound stupid.
I’m at a grad level but that is bare minimum.
“Oh young people are cheating with AI because they’re afraid to be wrong and the system is so bad!” No they’re just lazy. Not every decision anyone ever makes is because they’re a fucking victim in life. They’re asking AI to summarize something for them or for rando internet users to spoon feed them information because they don’t feel like doing it themselves and it doesn’t go deeper than that.
"Oh but they're not excited by every single class they ever take so they have no choice but to cheat!" Shut the fuck up. You're not going to be personally entertained by everything you do in life. That doesn't mean the class is bad or not worth it. Educators are not entertainers. Enough with the excuses for this learned helplessness, and tbh enough with the tone deafness of acting like the educational system in America is the worst in the world when it’s not, especially at the college level where people literally come from all over the world to attend our universities. Grow up! But oops I forgot, 90% of the discourse on this site boils down to using progressive language to justify acting like a bratty teenager and being vehemently incurious about the world

West Papua’s Indigenous people have called for a boycott of KitKat, Smarties and Aero chocolate, Oreo biscuits and Ritz crackers, and the cosmetics brands Pantene and Herbal Essences, over alleged ecocide in their territory.
All are products that contain palm oil and are made, say the campaigners, by companies that source the ingredient directly from West Papua, which has been under Indonesian control since 1963 and where thousands of acres of rainforest are being cleared for agriculture.
More than 90 West Papuan tribes, political organisations and religious groups have endorsed the call for a boycott, which they say should continue until the people of West Papua are given the right to self-determination.
Raki Ap, a spokesperson for the United Liberation Movement for West Papua, which is overseeing the call, said: “These products are linked to human rights violations, in the first place, because West Papuans are being forced, with violence, to get off the land where they’ve lived for thousands of years, which has now resulted in ecocide.
“This is a signal to the countries who are dealing with Indonesia, especially those in the Pacific region, to take notice of who they’re dealing with and how they are basically allowing Indonesia to continue the colonial project in West Papua, the human rights violations, and also ecocide.”
West Papuans say more than 500,000 of their people have been killed by the occupation in the past six decades, while millions of acres of their ancestral lands have been destroyed for corporate profit. Indonesia, already the world’s largest palm oil exporter, is now breaking ground in West Papua on the world’s biggest single palm oil plantation, as well as a sugar cane and biofuel plantation that will be the largest deforestation project ever launched.
“West Papuans’, especially the ULMWP, position is very clear: we are a modern-day colony,” said Ap, speaking from the Netherlands.
“Indonesia hijacked the right to self-determination in 1962 when the Netherlands and Indonesia signed an agreement without any consultation in West Papua … After that, in 1969, there was a so-called referendum, which wasn’t fair, which wasn’t under international law, one man, one vote: just 1,025 men were handpicked at gunpoint to vote for integration to Indonesia.
“So this is the foundation of the Indonesia’s colonial project. When we became part of Indonesia against our will, basically the genocide unfolded.”

I really liked that she put a distinction between inbreeding and incest because I was trying to articulate that it does matter to potential biological offspring that result from the incest but she’s exactly right. If that’s your parent/parental figure, that’s incest, even if there isn’t a genetic component.
tbh people dont talk about how disturbing the popularity of sibling/step sibling porn is nearly enough.

This is his most recent video, btw. While this is a roast, his other roasts show he isn’t upset by the harem of it all. He’s upset because the characters are boring.

The fact that content moderation is traumatizing for adults should be all the evidence we need to say that the content is not appropriate for children.
btw, since there isn't much mainstream institutional research or autobiographical material about childhood pornography exposure, something I find REALLY helpful is to think about it in terms of analogy with the YouTube kids' content situation.
I often think back to these 2 stomach-churning videos I've watched on the subject. they're really helpful for highlighting just how much of an unfolding human rights violation it is that a), internet technology has been forcefully shovelled into the hands of children at a progressively younger introductory ages, and b), internet spaces generally do not, and have not ever efficiently regulated sexual, pornographic, violent, exploitative or otherwise harmful content, despite the growing percentage of children that comprise their userbases, and this is being largely driven by illicit profiteering.
if you watch these videos with the knowledge that children have also been forcefed softcore porn through apps as commonly used by children as TikTok (which has had a userbase of a staggering 50% children between the ages of 3 and 17), you MIGHT start to get an inkling for the gravity of the situation regarding the internet-to-pornography pipeline itself.

People won’t disordered sex development don’t exist for a reason. The don’t exist to challenge the status quo. They just exist.
Women with dsd are not your rhetorical shield either. They are still male and female, just with a disorder that affected development.
I think people are splitting hairs. Female is of the sex that produces ovum and typically is the result of xx chromosomes. They may be too young or old to ovulate but they still have ovum. There may be a dsd or disability that impacts the production of ovum or the process of ovulation. They may have had their ovaries or uterus removed. They may have x, xx, xxx, xxxxx, or xy with an inactive or damaged y. There a list of biological traits that are common among female individuals that are typically a result of the body producing ovum and gestating offspring (wider hips, breasts, our knees and elbows are slightly different too) but may be more or less pronounced in different individuals and may be affected by other medical disorders or conditions (PCOS increasing facial hair, for example).
All of these women face discrimination on the same grounds: that society deems their only purpose is to bear children and serve. Women are punished according to their inability or unwillingness to perform these tasks. TIMs never will be because they are not biologically capable of producing ovum. That’s why biology matters, because it is my biology that my oppressor cares about.
Okay i’ll bite. A woman is a human female with either two or more X chromosomes, so women with intersex conditions are women. If you really want to get more technical, a woman is a human female with two or more X chromosomes OR a “broken”/inactive Y chromosome. Gender critical feminists include intersex women and the conditions they have. Stop roping in intersex women into your backwards activism so you can play in lala gender land
Okay, I’ll bite. If your definition of "woman" hinges entirely on chromosomes, you're reducing a complex reality lived identity, biology, and social experience down to a genetics quiz most people never even take.
Intersex people exist specifically to challenge rigid sex binaries, not reinforce them. If your framework includes them only when it suits your argument against trans people, then it’s not about truth it’s about exclusion. Intersex women aren’t your rhetorical shield.
They exist outside your binary, not within it. So stop using them to gatekeep womanhood while pretending it’s about biology.

The thing that can get you about posts like this is that there is a kernel of truth.
Fantasizing will never be as useful as action. If all you do is wish and never work towards full liberation, you will never be free and someone doing something imperfectly is better than dreaming perfectly.
A woman partnered with a man is not lesser than a single woman or woman partnered with a woman. There are a lot of reasons she might be with a man and we should be able to critique those reasons without dehumanizing her.
However, many women ARE working towards that better world and responsibly criticizing mainstream patriarchy and female subordination. We should gate keep but we should also recognize those within the fence.

Feminism is a lost cause.
