When I was young I knew the trees had souls, each plant felt different, and every animal held a lesson to teach.
When did I forget this? How did I grow up and lose touch with this understanding?
Now I'm back, relearning the lessons I was already taught when I was young.

well you *could* try to connect with nature via meditation, orrr you could start noticing that every single day, several roly polies are dying in this one specific part of the garden, so you make it a daily routine to move those alive, as well as bury the dead, to the point that one day you open the backdoor and there are four roly polies simply waiting for you. right there. somehow this feels a little intentional

I need to make something very clear about animism even though it’s likely nobody will listen, and that is that physical bodies are not separate from souls in any being with personhood. Human bodies are our souls and our souls are our human bodies. The river’s souls are contained in the waters, sand, dirt, clay, and microorganisms that make up its body. Every single mirror of a plants body they might have is their souls, and their bodies are all of those souls mirrors. Every stuffed animal you call a friend has a soul, which is its body, marked by your love. There are so many other examples. Separation of soul and body of persons is not animism, it’s the spirit model.

When I was young, I was told "If God had a fridge, he'd have your picture on it. That's how much he loves you."
Well, decades of "Christian love" have shown that to actually mean "If God had a fridge, he'd have a modified picture of you giving him a blowjob on it. That's how much we need your money."

Friendly reminder: you don't need to be perfect in order to come to Jesus. You don't need to be free of sin to call upon God. To pray. To go to Church. to read the Bible.
Jesus loves you no matter what :)

Genuinely have started to fall in love with the symbolism of me being a lamb and God being our shepherd. We are all part of the same flock. We are booping our noses together softly. When one of us gets lost we go to our shepherd and ask him to look for them. Actually sobbing over this

I finished Matthew again today. I forget how painful it is to read the last few chapters of any gospel, but what stood out to me today is the way that Jesus called Judas "Friend" even in the moment of his betrayal. The relationship between Jesus and Judas is one of the subjects that makes me the most emotional in the Bible. Have we not all betrayed God in some way? Yet we too are loved. Judas was loved, and I think we as students of Christ should remember that.
Recognize your mistakes, but do not allow despair to overcome you as it overcame Judas. Through the power of Christ, forgive others. But do not forget to forgive yourself, too.

Can you imagine God creating Golgatha? Can you imagine Him forming the hill where His beloved Son would be tortured and killed? His hand sweeping the dust to form solid ground. The rocks settling, the grass growing in patches here and there. Can you imagine His anguish at seeing His beautiful creation being used to destroy His own Son? The pain He must have felt as the cross stabbed the earth? When Mary fell to her knees in the dirt, did He shudder? Did He weep not just for His Son, but the hill He brought into existence? Can you imagine the despair and pain? Can you imagine?
